I also heard about their 3 chicken sandwiches for $10, so because I can't resist a good deal, my family and I got the chance to try it out today. We came at 8 pm on Thursday, and it was practically empty with only one family inside. The interior is bright and clean! We got 3 orders of the 3 for $10 as well as 1 order of their fries. We waited around 5 mins before our orders were finished. Also, service was normal and straightforward, so nothing to write home about. My family and I had mixed reviews on the chicken sandwiches. My brothers and I thought it was good while my parents thought it was just okay. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and had a good salt level. As a comparison, I thought Wallace's sandwich was tastier than Chick-fil-A but didn't compare to Popeye's (which I contend is the best fast food chicken sandwich). For the fries, they were very yummy! I love battered fries, and they did them so well. Crispy and nicely salted that I didn't even need ketchup! I will say, we drove almost 30 mins to get here, so I honestly wouldn't find myself driving that far again to eat here. While I thought it was good, it was nothing special. I do recommend just giving this place a try since it's the "KFC" of China!

My recent visit to BB.Q Chicken left me with mixed feelings, as the culinary offerings showcased promise, but the overall experience was somewhat marred by extended service wait times. Let's dive into the positive aspects first. This place has a commendable selection of dishes, especially their signature chicken creations. The flavors are undoubtedly there - from the crispy and savory coatings to the inventive sauces, there's a delightful mix of sweet, tangy, and spicy notes. However, where they fall short is in the realm of service wait times. The duration between placing an order and the arrival of the dishes was nearly 30 minutes, leaving me with a sense of anticipation that bordered on impatience. While the staff was courteous and apologetic about the delay, it's an area that could use improvement to enhance the overall dining experience. The ambiance at BB.Q Chicken Walnut is casual and unpretentious. The interior is clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable setting for customers. Despite the hiccup in service wait times, I believe they have the potential to elevate its overall dining experience by addressing this issue. A streamlined and more efficient service process would undoubtedly contribute to a more positive impression and encourage patrons to return. read more

I used to go to Chino Hills one for a while until I started noticing Walnut restaurant during my commute. I was impressed with superior quality of Secret Sauce Chicken with dripping sauces yet crunchy in texture. Exclusivelywent to this one for a while until it dropped a ball like this hard. Hardly any sauces glazed over the chicken(I can see the golden color instead of sauced up red) and missing radishes. And no one would pick up the phone when needed. I strongly hope you get your services back together. ---- Update: Chicken tastes like it was not made to be Secret Sauce Chicken but hastily and shoddily tossed with a tiny bit if sauces. I ate here enough times these past couple months to know how they are supposed to taste. Very disappointed. read more

Omgoodness! I want to try all the flavors esp mala! So far maple crunch, galbi and secret slightly spicy are so good. Halfway into the boneless chicken maple crunch lunch box, I realized that the underlying flavor was buttered popcorn! We couldn't quite place it at first; it is sweet & can be too sweet for some palates. Upgraded to the sweet potato fries sometimes; either fries with lunch special are good. I'm sure a meal that tastes this good isn't the healthiest, but it is definitely my new go-to weekly treat. Team members were sweet. There is room for only two tables inside. read more

Tried this BBQ chicken spot for lunch today and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Golden Chicken with a side of sweet potato fries, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy with that crispy golden finish, and the fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside -- just the right balance of sweet and savory. I ordered the chicken as I normally would get when going to a Thai BBQ restaurant, and I was excited to have some really good Thai food. The lunch meal came with the main entree, fried rice and a salad. The salad dressing was super watery.. and just dripped off the lettuce. Made it seem like when you're out of dressing, so you add water and shake it. Was runny, had no taste and no consistency. The fried rice was ok. It was hot, not dry, but not flavorful either. Now the chicken.. I've come to love that Thai BBQ taste, but the chicken skin didn't have that saw char look/taste as it would. The chicken itself was a little slimy as well. Made it seem like it was undercooked so I didn't really eat it. We ended up deciding to eat in here since it was near an event we had just finished. People wanted some good Thai Food, and this one was less than 1/2 mile away. I did not know at that time that this was the same location my family had bought lunch from two weeks prior. Walking in the restaurant, I could see that it is definitely outdated. When they say 'Original' Thai BBQ, they mean it. The interior looked like it was from the 80's. Maybe the tears on the booth seats gave it away? They are definitely in need of an update. As for the food, I did not get the chicken as I was skeptical from my last experience. I got my 2nd choice, which was the garlic spare ribs and white rice. Again, no no no. These spare ribs were so hard and dry the sauces couldn't even seep through it to help out. The white rice was so dry I just couldn't. I had to inform the lady who was serving us to change it to the fried rice. She had the audacity to roll her eyes. I mean so not only was the food not good, but the service was bad as well. I definitely will not be coming back or even ordering to go. There are many other restaurants in the area at the same price point that I can choose from.

Order at the front counter and wait for to go or sit down and they'll bring it to you. Everything is made to order, so expect to wait a bit. Benefit is that everything will come out fresh and hot. Clean interior and good AC for these hot days. Server was friendly. Food itself was very good. We ordered the fire island tofu plate and the fried chicken plate. The tofu had a very tasty spice on it and was nicely fried. The fried chicken had a nice breading and wasn't oily. We enjoyed both dishes. My favorite spot was Aloha BBQ in the Vons center, which is now sadly gone. This may be my new to go spot for Hawaiian food.
