I was craving some Korean Fried Chicken so this was the closest spot to us. The parking was in the back of the restaurant with lots of space. Walking in, I noticed the restaurant was small and not a lot of tables so you definitely cannot have a big party. They have a lot of flavor chicken options. We ended up getting the Galbi flavor 8 piece wing ($15.99), Ddeok-bokki ($14.99) & ($2 additional cheese). They have two bathrooms. We only waited 15 mins for order. The lady was nice and gave us plates for us to eat. She first gave us our Ddeok-bokki which was very tasty and rich in sauce but it was on the spicier side. The Galbi chicken was good and the wings were huge. Very flavorful and tender, came out fresh so it was hot. The down side you can only do one flavor. I also thought the water cups were small and water was not cold unless you ask for ice. I would come back.

I saw bbq chicken on TikTok and wanted to come and try it. On a hot day the AC was very nice to feel while waiting for our order. Our order took about 20 minutes to come out. I order 8 piece soy garlic bone in & 8 piece galbi bone in. My favorite was the soy garlic & right behind it was galbi. Both flavor are great. I enjoyed the crunchy texture of the wings as well. The soy garlic didn't have much sauce, I paid $2.17 for extra sauce. The Galbi wings had the perfect amount of sauce. The minus one star has to do with the amount of dead gnats on the ledge of the window and on our table. Though I prefer them dead than alive, it would've been nice if that area was cleaned, I wiped it myself. Other than that I will returning & recommending this location.
We need more Korean food restaurants. Simply delicious. Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant is so cool inside, the wait was bearable. The flavors were delicious and the outside was crispy while the inside was juicy and tender.
Ordered a variety of different flavored wings to choose from for a group dinner. The Honey Garlic was hands down my favorite. It had a super crispy exterior (honestly the crunchiest of the bunch), lightly sweet with a nice garlicky finish. The Cheeseling had that nostalgic sweet cheese powder dusted on top (it reminded me of the Buldak carbonara cheese powder). Slightly less crunchy than the honey garlic, but still solid if you're into that sweet-savory combo. The Spicy Galbi had a great smoky flavor, but they were a little heavy-handed with the sauce. It softened the skin more than I'd like, I'd personally prefer a lighter coating to keep that crisp factor. The Original was a classic crispy fried chicken moment. I ended up adding a bit of soy sauce for extra flavor and that did the trick. Only small complaint was that the pickled radish wasn't very pickled, it could've used more tang, but at least it still had a satisfying crunch. Overall, if you're craving Korean fried chicken with serious crisp, this spot delivers. I'll definitely be back for that honey garlic again.
I came with fellow yelpers, Andrew K, Chiqui and Marcos. I am not familiar with Korean food and I feel like Fresno lacks that style of cuisine. Andrew recommended this particular place and put together an unofficial type of meet up. We ordered original, galbi, soy garlic and honey garlic chicken, jasmine rice. Mozz sticks, pot stickers and a 12.99 chicken plate that came with 2 slices of toast and fries. Pretty large spread! It was nice to be able to taste so many items. My fave was the soy garlic wings, very flavorful and not too sweet. Galbi was good too - I like the addition of sesame seeds and green onion. I like that they fry their wings in olive oil, the texture is very crispy while the chicken remains juicy. No cheese pull on the Mozz sticks and fries were average tasting even tho the pot stickers were fat there was no dipping sauce. To be fair, these are not things they would be known for anyways. Orders take awhile to come out because they make everything fresh so I wouldn't recommend coming if you're in a pinch.
I heard good things about this place from my coworkers and I have been craving chicken wings so I finally decided to try it out. The staff greeted me when I first got in and there was one other person waiting for their order. It was pretty clean inside but not that many tables if you dine in. I ordered the small 8 piece honey garlic wings and boyyy was that good! It was hot and fresh. Very crunchy and had sauce all over which was flavorful. They also gave pieces of radishes that paired well with the chicken. I loved every bite and I will definitely be back to try other flavors.

This place is just solid. It's a franchise but every time I've been here I've had good quality fried chicken. This place is totally worth checking out. So my friends and I got three plates of fried chicken and two appetizers. The potstickers were just OK and probably what I least enjoyed. They were mediocre and felt like something I could buy at Costco. The kimchi fried rice was an explosion of flavor. It was probably one of the more spicy things that we actually ate. Again it had good flavor, but just wasn't the star of the show. We ordered three different orders of fried chicken and by far the garlic honey was my absolute favorite. It's sweet garlicky, and just fried to perfect perfection. There is no bad choice on this menu. All in all, this is a yummy place and I seriously look forward to going back.
Came here on an empty day, order at kiosk, and got food after a 20 minute wait. Worker was very nice! My friend and I ordered the 8 piece soy garlic bone-in wings and the rose tteokbokki. The wings were great! Not overly sauced (though I wouldn't mind if they were too), nice crunch, juicy, and good flavor! The rose tteokbokki was good! It's creamy, and the flavor was great. I could drink the sauce tbh. The consistency was more on the liquidy side, but I didn't mind! Super good, I expect myself to be doing pick up orders from here again in the very near future...
I was introduced to the BB.Q Chicken chain when I lived in Texas (odd, right?) I was excited to see they opened a location close to me. I ordered what I normally got in TX, honey garlic and soy garlic. What I love about BB.Q Chicken is that amazing ability to stay crispy after I bring my take out order home and even the next day. This was no different. The taste was as expected BUT there were clumps of garlic - as if it was part of the breading. It was overwhelming. I think they still need some time to work out the new restaurant quirks. But overall nothing that will deter me from visiting again. Additionally, the restaurant seemed clean and service was friendly.
We were in the mood for wings after hiking. We wanted to try multiple flavors and just order one order of 24 chicken-however we were told you're only allowed to order one flavor of 24-so we had to pay a little more and get three separate orders for each flavor of eight pieces. you ordered three orders. The chicken pieces came out much larger than we expected, so really just a 16 piece between the two of us would've been fine. The batter was very crispy however, it was pretty thick, which was a little overwhelming after a while. All of the wings had good flavor though! Our favorite was the soy garlic. The ddeok -bokki was also tasty, which made up for the kimchi fried rice, which was a little bland-so I'd probably pass on that next time . However, we just added some sauce from the ddeok-bokki fried rice and it was fine. If you're in the mood for fried chicken -this is a solid spot to stop by!
After trying their wings a couple more times, they became my favorite especially the honey garlic and the original spicy. It's been consistent in terms of taste and flavors. I really enjoyed the crunchiness from the honey garlic wings and that tad bit of sweetness in every bite. As for the original spicy, it isn't too spicy and just enough flour coating around it. If you're craving for chicken, definitely check this place out. It's better than kfc or popeyes.

Best chicken ever. Very hot and fresh! And you don't see blood on the bones. I'm not really a chicken wing person. Because most people don't make or clean them well. Tried twice with this place, but always wait over 1.5 hours. Their online system is also down. Menu does look good and the price is reasonable. Plenty of parking space. I am willing to change the score once chicken is available. I will also see if I like the chicken. read more
Finally, a Korean fried chicken franchise has made its way to Fresno! As a Korean American who's grown up enjoying authentic Korean food, I was thrilled to see bb.q Chicken open locally. My expectations were high, and while the experience was solid overall, it fell a little short of what I hoped for. The fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, and spicy rice cakes all tasted familiar and comforting, but they lacked the bold depth of flavor I've come to expect from KOREAN food. That said, I understand the restaurant just opened, and some growing pains in terms of flavor consistency, service, and speed are to be expected. Despite the minor disappointments, I'm optimistic about bb.q Chicken's potential here in Fresno. The foundation is definitely there, and I think as the staff gets into their groove, the experience will improve. It's exciting to see a place bringing a taste of home to the area, and I'll definitely be back to give it another try. For now, I'm giving them a solid four stars with encouragement to refine the recipes and fine-tune the service. it could easily become a local favorite with a bit more polish! read more

Ambiance is fast food average. Service was good, but be prepared...the wait is long. 1st time we tried going here, the wait was over an hour. They fry each order as they come in. So if 3 ppl ordered wings before you, seemingly they cook them 1 order at a time, not all 24 wings at once. ORDER: --Rose ddeokbokki w/cheese: Soooo good! Drowning in a creamy sauce w/cheese. Spicy but not killer spicy. Has tender fish cakes & great chewy noodles. --Cheesling Fries: Strange, but oddly good. Like, weird but tasty in a way that I'll likely crave them at some point. --Golden Original 1/2 Chicken: Fabulously crunchy & juicy. --Honey Garlic: Too sweet, but not very garlicky. Nicely crunchy, but too much sauce. --Gang Jeong: Again, too sweet & a little more cinnamon would be great. Nicely crunchy, but too much sauce. Don't over order like we did. Leftovers aren't great w/this type of chicken IMHO. Don't regret being able to try lots of stuff though. Will definitely come back, especially for those cheesling fries & rose ddeokbokki, but order way less next time. read more

My brother took us here cause he tried this place in Vegas and found out they have one in Clovis. They have so many different options of wings to choose from, It's a little wait but your order is made as you order it so the food arrives fresh and hot to the table. They had so many people calling in orders for pick up so you know the place is delicious and good. The wait does take long about half hour from the time you order but they make this FRESH!!!!! The staff is very friendly and when 1 staff member that was assisting us was leaving for the day she wished us a delicious meal. It was so thoughtful! It's worth the wait the CRISP CRUNCH on these wings are insane. It makes Wingstop so unbearable because they overcook their chicken. Bb.q chicken does it perfectly even eating leftovers the next day it's still crispy! The Rosé rice cakes were so delicious! I don't like spicy too much and it was perfect for me a great balance. For our first time we got the following; secret sauce boneless, interesting and strong flavor. The honey garlic wings, had a nice light flavor. Then the galbi wings, which were just ok. The bone in wings were thickly battered, and quite greazy after three it made me nauseous. On the other hand the boneless had a light crunchy coating which is what I was expecting for all the chicken. The place is a decent size, but a full house means your fresh chicken order will be packed to-go. Came on a Sunday, late afternoon around 4. Friendly staff and service and greeted as we walked in. It was a full house, but luckily, there were a group of people leaving when we got there so we were able to grab a 2ppl table. We ordered the half & half whole chicken with original and secret sauce and a side of debokki. Everything came out fresh and delicious. The chicken had a great crunch, but I was hoping the secret sauce half was fully coated and not half way on some of the pieces. The debokki had great flavor and definitely gave a good spice kick. The little side of radish that came with the chicken wasn't as fermented as I'd hoped for, but it was okay. Definitely will come try other flavors and sides again. read more

i have never been a huge wing guy, but bb.q has absolutely changed that. i've heard countless praise from social media and one day my girlfriend and i finally decided to give it a try (took a few weeks after opening, they were SLAMMED for a while after opening). plenty of seating inside, but it can fill up quickly, and parking is never an issue. our go to every time we go, which is a lot. is the honey garlic wings. they're so perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, never once had a bad piece of chicken here. this perfect combination of texture is likely due to all their food being made fresh, so expect around 20+ minute waits. the flavor is a perfect balance between sweet and savory, honey and garlic are a match made in heaven. the cheeseling fries are also a MUST. it's a super unique flavor that can hardly be described, they aren't super cheesey though, just try it. lastly the rosé ddeok-boki is delicious, a nice little bonus to share if you're extra hungry. sidenote: the spicy flavors are ACTUALLY spicy, be ready. my go-to wing spot and also in frequent rotation. an absolute must try read more

12/9/24 Hot and New! Must try! Getting lunch! I ordered and paid for a spicy chicken sandwich and onion rings online. They sent notification of the process and when it would be ready. Arrived to pick you up. Very busy! Some workers are masked. Greet by worker giving my name. Grabbed my order and handed it over. Music playing inside. Safe and clean with tables and chairs. My husband always brings chicken home for us from this place and thought me and the kids could make the trip to try it fresh. My husband knew the wait is long, so order ahead and when you arrive it's ready. If you're hungry and can't wait then I would suggest fast food. This place makes there chicken fresh by order. So happy to see a legit KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) restaurant here in Fresno. This popular chain has locations worldwide, and the taste did not disappoint! There were maybe 7 or so tables inside with what looked like a ton of to-go orders being worked on, so big parties of more than 4 would not be recommended. There is also a sign that states that it could take up to 30 minutes to make. Our cashier even warned us it that they were estimating 45 minutes. While most of the business looked to be take-out or delivery, we opted to try waiting and eat in. What we ordered: Original spicy wings: 5/5. These were perfectly crisp on the outside, piping hot, and juicy on the inside. Each bite had that perfect crunch that you just don't get at fried chicken restaurants anymore. With 3 chili stars, these were the type of spicy that crept up on you as you bit into that second wing. What's interesting is there's no sauce on the outside, but the chicken marinade on the inside is what makes it spicy. Beware if you have a low spice tolerance. Secret sauce, boneless: 5/5. This is what you would expect your typical Korean "yangneum" chicken to taste like. Wet with a sticky, fairly sweet sauce, a slight kick at the end, but still the chicken managed to stay crispy enough. There were no option to order as wings for this sauce, but actually boneless made it much more easier and cleaner to eat. Both orders came with a small side of radish, a nice palette cleanser and typical for Korean fried chicken (nothing to rave about but I did wish they were bigger!) Overall, maybe we got lucky with finding a table and the wait being less than expected. I would definitely come back! Hopefully they don't change their standards to appease crowd complaining about the wait. You know the chicken will be fresh with how they operate. Just be patient, it'll be worth it! read more
I finally got to try this place. Every time I would come it would be a full house and line out the door, told us it would be like 1-2hr wait. Today I came during lunch hours and got the whole place to ourselves. I understand why the long wait for our food because everything is literally made to order, so fresh and piping hot. We got the crunchy garlic half chicken, this sauce is basically or similar to the soy garlic.. sweet and salty with tons of crunchy garlic pieces sprinkled on top. Each order does come with a side of pickled daikon so no need to order that on the side for those of you who like a palette cleanser. Only certain sauces are available for half birds/whole birds. For the wings we ordered a 8pc of the spiciest one available, the flavor on that was delicious and had great heat. The chicken itself is fresh and crunchy just overall bomb! The way they fry that thang is chefs kiss! We also got fries & the lunch combo of the kimchi fried rice which had an egg on top and to add cheese is a $2 charge. Everything we ordered was great, even the fries. The lunch combos are on the menu for same price range for dinner, the only difference is you get a drink with it during lunch hours. The place was clean and spaced out, okay seating but this place gets pretty packed. I would definitely go back to try their other dishes and different sauces. Price range is pretty reasonable, could be a little high for some people. Everything I ordered came out to $56. read more
