    Ddeok-Bokki with cheese
    Amber N.

I was craving some Korean Fried Chicken so this was the closest spot to us. The parking was in the back of the restaurant with lots of space. Walking in, I noticed the restaurant was small and not a lot of tables so you definitely cannot have a big party. They have a lot of flavor chicken options. We ended up getting the Galbi flavor 8 piece wing ($15.99), Ddeok-bokki ($14.99) & ($2 additional cheese). They have two bathrooms. We only waited 15 mins for order. The lady was nice and gave us plates for us to eat. She first gave us our Ddeok-bokki which was very tasty and rich in sauce but it was on the spicier side. The Galbi chicken was good and the wings were huge. Very flavorful and tender, came out fresh so it was hot. The down side you can only do one flavor. I also thought the water cups were small and water was not cold unless you ask for ice. I would come back.

I was hoping this would taste like bulldoc I miss that place This was low quality chicken and it was not good and a couple pieces were even raw inside I have been wanting to try this for so long and I was so disappointed We ordered at work and my coworkers didn't like their food either So sad cause 8 wings cost me 19 dollars

I saw bbq chicken on TikTok and wanted to come and try it. On a hot day the AC was very nice to feel while waiting for our order. Our order took about 20 minutes to come out. I order 8 piece soy garlic bone in & 8 piece galbi bone in. My favorite was the soy garlic & right behind it was galbi. Both flavor are great. I enjoyed the crunchy texture of the wings as well. The soy garlic didn't have much sauce, I paid $2.17 for extra sauce. The Galbi wings had the perfect amount of sauce. The minus one star has to do with the amount of dead gnats on the ledge of the window and on our table. Though I prefer them dead than alive, it would've been nice if that area was cleaned, I wiped it myself. Other than that I will returning & recommending this location.

We need more Korean food restaurants. Simply delicious. Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant is so cool inside, the wait was bearable. The flavors were delicious and the outside was crispy while the inside was juicy and tender.

Ordered a variety of different flavored wings to choose from for a group dinner. The Honey Garlic was hands down my favorite. It had a super crispy exterior (honestly the crunchiest of the bunch), lightly sweet with a nice garlicky finish. The Cheeseling had that nostalgic sweet cheese powder dusted on top (it reminded me of the Buldak carbonara cheese powder). Slightly less crunchy than the honey garlic, but still solid if you're into that sweet-savory combo. The Spicy Galbi had a great smoky flavor, but they were a little heavy-handed with the sauce. It softened the skin more than I'd like, I'd personally prefer a lighter coating to keep that crisp factor. The Original was a classic crispy fried chicken moment. I ended up adding a bit of soy sauce for extra flavor and that did the trick. Only small complaint was that the pickled radish wasn't very pickled, it could've used more tang, but at least it still had a satisfying crunch. Overall, if you're craving Korean fried chicken with serious crisp, this spot delivers. I'll definitely be back for that honey garlic again.

I came with fellow yelpers, Andrew K, Chiqui and Marcos. I am not familiar with Korean food and I feel like Fresno lacks that style of cuisine. Andrew recommended this particular place and put together an unofficial type of meet up. We ordered original, galbi, soy garlic and honey garlic chicken, jasmine rice. Mozz sticks, pot stickers and a 12.99 chicken plate that came with 2 slices of toast and fries. Pretty large spread! It was nice to be able to taste so many items. My fave was the soy garlic wings, very flavorful and not too sweet. Galbi was good too - I like the addition of sesame seeds and green onion. I like that they fry their wings in olive oil, the texture is very crispy while the chicken remains juicy. No cheese pull on the Mozz sticks and fries were average tasting even tho the pot stickers were fat there was no dipping sauce. To be fair, these are not things they would be known for anyways. Orders take awhile to come out because they make everything fresh so I wouldn't recommend coming if you're in a pinch.

I heard good things about this place from my coworkers and I have been craving chicken wings so I finally decided to try it out. The staff greeted me when I first got in and there was one other person waiting for their order. It was pretty clean inside but not that many tables if you dine in. I ordered the small 8 piece honey garlic wings and boyyy was that good! It was hot and fresh. Very crunchy and had sauce all over which was flavorful. They also gave pieces of radishes that paired well with the chicken. I loved every bite and I will definitely be back to try other flavors.

Amazing CRISPY fried chicken. The sauce makes it even better. Good if you're craving some good fried crispy chicken!

This place is just solid. It's a franchise but every time I've been here I've had good quality fried chicken. This place is totally worth checking out. So my friends and I got three plates of fried chicken and two appetizers. The potstickers were just OK and probably what I least enjoyed. They were mediocre and felt like something I could buy at Costco. The kimchi fried rice was an explosion of flavor. It was probably one of the more spicy things that we actually ate. Again it had good flavor, but just wasn't the star of the show. We ordered three different orders of fried chicken and by far the garlic honey was my absolute favorite. It's sweet garlicky, and just fried to perfect perfection. There is no bad choice on this menu. All in all, this is a yummy place and I seriously look forward to going back.

Came here on an empty day, order at kiosk, and got food after a 20 minute wait. Worker was very nice! My friend and I ordered the 8 piece soy garlic bone-in wings and the rose tteokbokki. The wings were great! Not overly sauced (though I wouldn't mind if they were too), nice crunch, juicy, and good flavor! The rose tteokbokki was good! It's creamy, and the flavor was great. I could drink the sauce tbh. The consistency was more on the liquidy side, but I didn't mind! Super good, I expect myself to be doing pick up orders from here again in the very near future...

I was introduced to the BB.Q Chicken chain when I lived in Texas (odd, right?) I was excited to see they opened a location close to me. I ordered what I normally got in TX, honey garlic and soy garlic. What I love about BB.Q Chicken is that amazing ability to stay crispy after I bring my take out order home and even the next day. This was no different. The taste was as expected BUT there were clumps of garlic - as if it was part of the breading. It was overwhelming. I think they still need some time to work out the new restaurant quirks. But overall nothing that will deter me from visiting again. Additionally, the restaurant seemed clean and service was friendly.

We were in the mood for wings after hiking. We wanted to try multiple flavors and just order one order of 24 chicken-however we were told you're only allowed to order one flavor of 24-so we had to pay a little more and get three separate orders for each flavor of eight pieces. you ordered three orders. The chicken pieces came out much larger than we expected, so really just a 16 piece between the two of us would've been fine. The batter was very crispy however, it was pretty thick, which was a little overwhelming after a while. All of the wings had good flavor though! Our favorite was the soy garlic. The ddeok -bokki was also tasty, which made up for the kimchi fried rice, which was a little bland-so I'd probably pass on that next time . However, we just added some sauce from the ddeok-bokki fried rice and it was fine. If you're in the mood for fried chicken -this is a solid spot to stop by!

After trying their wings a couple more times, they became my favorite especially the honey garlic and the original spicy. It's been consistent in terms of taste and flavors. I really enjoyed the crunchiness from the honey garlic wings and that tad bit of sweetness in every bite. As for the original spicy, it isn't too spicy and just enough flour coating around it. If you're craving for chicken, definitely check this place out. It's better than kfc or popeyes.

The soup was AMAZING and I was surprised that I liked it so much because I usually don't like tofu. So, when we went this time to dine-in together, I decided to get that soup and my husband got the Oxtail soup (or something like that). As before, the beef tofu soup was DELICIOUS, but I will say that the soups come out piping hot which the server did warn us about. My favorites from the banchan were the kimchi, cucumber and sauce, and the noodles. As for my husband's oxtail soup, we both wished that it had some more salt or umami flavor because it was a little bland. Other than that, the food was still really good and we look forward to coming back, especially during the cold season. The restaurant is smaller than expected but it is very clean and kept up. Dishes are $15-$20 compared to $20-$30 at most other korean places in town and the banchan is really good. Like really good. The kimchi is saucey, spicy and a little sweet. I can't confirm it's made in house but considering how yummy it is and that they used to sell their own kimchi when they still had the market I will assume it is. They've been around foreverr and I respect the pricing and Im rooting for them But with that said... I ordered the bibimbap and the flavor was good but the rice was soggy, creating a terrible texture that didnt crisp at the bottom of the bowl despite it coming out sizzling. I couldn't finish the rice. I don't believe this is a regular issue so I won't hold it against them. This is where it will turn into a bit of a blog post. If you haven't been here then this part will offer no value. It feels like as time goes on I am more and more disappointed. Like, 15+ years ago they were a market-restaurant hybrid. Eventually they eliminated the market and were just a restaurant. Bummer. Previous to this last visit, they had a self-serve banchan station. So good. So many options. SSS best in town and the reason I came back. They've swapped it out for a self serve malatang. I'm devastated! So, now it's one serving of three banchan and one of them is literally salted peanuts. That and the soggy rice really ruined the experience but I don't want my review to be clouded because I miss the good times. They're doing what they need to do and I highly value the commitment to reasonable pricing without letting the quality of the food completely deteriorate.

What I mean is that there is something about the Korean food made here that just tastes a bit different than what you'd otherwise get or expect from a more traditional and authentic Korean restaurant. That said, Korea Mart seemed to start off as a Korean mini market, with a small focus on prepared meals. That may have gained some popularity and the owner decided to shift their focus more towards the prepared food and less on the mini mart. The problem is that the prepared food, while focuses on traditional dishes, just doesn't taste traditional. There is something off about the dishes. For example, the Jajamyun's vegetables were very off. It lacked zucchini and the cabbage wasn't enough. The kicker is that the onions weren't even diced. The onions were in big chunks-which actually works sometimes, but made the dish feel lazily and hastily put together. Then, the tubboki was too saucy. Flavor wasn't too bad, but was too saucy. Finally, they refuse to give you an itemized receipt until you finalize payment with a tip? They charge $2 for rice when they don't advertise it anywhere and they ask how many you want without telling you, and rice isn't an extra charge in most Korean restaurants. Just overall pretty disappointed. But then again, Korean restaurant in Fresno was probably a "my bad" decision. Oh well. As for ambiance. It felt like you were eating in the back of a mini mart. Super dark from the outside gave it a weird vibe.

You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

We got the house special broth mild and it was already spicy medium tends to be too much for us. Good company great food and service and ambiance. Veggie Fried rice with eggs slapped definitely a must to eat with the veggies and meat. We normally get a veggie combo tofu combo and meat combo. We ended up taking both broths home and enough meat and veggies to make two separate giant bowls at home.

Not many tables but it was enough to get people in and out, since it seems more like a takeout spot! Menu was straight forward and prices were fair. Got the japchae, korean fried chicke , gyoza and spicy tofu soup. Everything was delicious, especially the fried chicken!! They even have like a stamp card so if you go often, you get a little reward. Highly recommend trying this place out if you want a Korean cuisine fix!

My friend wanted to go here for her birthday on Saturday and I'm glad we did. Since watching…read moreCulinary Class Wars and finding out one of the chefs (Paik) had a restaurant (chain) here-- it's been on our list. It's opposite of Sakura Chaya on First and Nees, same lot as McDonald's. We ordered the Japchae (of course)-- one of my favorite Korean dishes. So simple, yet so good! We got a half order (5pcs) of the Garlic Soy Wings + half order of the Sweet & Spicy Wings, the Chili Shrimp, the Sweet & Sour Pork, and a bowl of rice (x2). This was more than enough food for us (3). They gave pickled radishes on the side and I also asked for a side of spicy sauce (chili oil and garlic-- fire). We all preferred the "Spicy" Wings over the Garlic Soy-- the flavor was just better but they were both good options. We all loved the Japchae, duh. The Chili Shrimp was really good and flavorful-- and we were pleasantly surprised by the quantity as well as quality. Our least favorite, sorry to say, was the Sweet & Sour Pork. It wasn't bad, just not our favorite. I did opt for dipping it into the spicy sauce rather than the Sweet & Sour sauce though. We also probably would've been okay with just one bowl of rice as well, since we had the Japchae. We're in 100°+ weather so we were not in the mood for soup lol so we'll have to come back and try out some of the soups another time-- as well as their stir fry dishes. Service was quick. You order and pay up front. The girl who helped us was nice, and helpful. They even give you a dish for free (if it's your bday)! Pretty cool of them to do. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at, nothing that stood out to me. They had a good amount of seating available considering they aren't that big inside, so that's a plus. If you're looking for some good Chinese - Korean fusion food, this is your spot. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it was still satisfying to our bellies-- and the leftovers came in handy later too!

I overheard them talk about how they were going to a movie so Joy offered to help pack their food to go, write their names on it and leave it in the back so they can come back for their food after the movie. I just felt that was super thoughtful and above and beyond. Outside of that, she also took care of me and my friend. She was one of the only waitresses who ever mentioned the rewards program to us and let us scan our QR codes only to find out we each had about $6 off our meals. Fantastic service and great food like always!

I decided to go with the Seoul Pot and my friend had the Hai De Pot. The food came out quickly and we asked our server to turn off the burners since the food was boiling. The one thing I wasnt crazy about was that my pot was filled to the brim where I couldnt add the noodles. I had to pull items out that seemed like "filler" items that wern't that tasty, seaweed knot and some kind of compacted rice ball. I would of preferred a little more broth could of done without those extra things. The broth btw was very good! I felt my broth and bowl was a better tasting option than the Hai De Pot my friend ordered. Our server was great and checked in often. More people entered for lunch but it was still a quiet atmosphere, which was nice. All in all we liked this place and I recommend it. The service is good, prices are fair and food is pretty tasty.

I love the Yaki Udon and usually get it spicy. All their food is always made fresh to order and with lots of love. Service: The service is great! We are always immediately seated and offered drinks within the first few minutes upon entering. Throughout the meal, we weren't checked on. I wish they would put water pitchers on the table for the customers so we wouldn't have to always ask for a water refill. Unfortunately, there have been times where my family and I have gone but it's so busy and we never got refills for waters. Ambiance: Great, cozy, warm atmosphere. They have large flat screen tvs that usually play compilation videos on them. I wish they synced the tvs up to play kdramas or kpop on them instead. Every time I've gone, the tvs are usually turned off or playing funny/meme compilations from YouTube. I think many of their customers would enjoy a Korean show while eating Korean food! Maybe even play some mukbangs, as many young people nowadays enjoy watching those! My family and I are regulars, and we will always be back to support our favorite local Korean restaurant!
