This place is kind of hidden but I'm glad I saw it and got to try it. I got the 3 tacos--chicken, shrimp, beef. The sauce, condiments they put on the tacos are delicious. The chicken was good, basic (3.5/5). The shrimp was lacking in flavor(3/5). The beef is where it's at. Super flavorful, super good. Just get this one. It's a teriyaki beef taco(5/5). Yum. I'm still craving this. It was really slow inside. They had two workers, no other customers really. But it was clean inside. I'd come back again, especially for those beef tacos. read more

Gross. The rice was mushy and tasteless and the chicken was dry. The potstickers, which let's face it, are pretty hard to mess up, were soggy. The staff was nice and it was clean inside, but the food was pretty pricey for the amount and quality. I can't rate higher than three stars because the food was genuinely so mediocre. read more

We just discovered this little hideaway recently and we are already back. The Dumplings last time were wonderful. So were the chicken tacos. Tonight I am trying a chicken, a steak and a shrimp taco. I drive past every time I'm out so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived, I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The restaurant was spotless. I love how clean it was. There was no trash anywhere, it smelled so good as soon as you open the door. There were three employees there. The manager, the cashier, in the cook, they all acknowledged and smiled when I walked in. The cashier was very patient with me because I never been there before I stared at the menu for a little while before I made my decision. I ordered the steak plate and the chicken tacos. The steak plate was the perfect size, I got two meals out of it. The salad was nice and fresh, I've never had dressing like that before, but it was really fresh and had a good taste. The chicken tacos were good. I loved the sauce that was on them. It was so good. It had a little kick, but it wasn't hot. It went really well with the grilled chicken and cabbage on the tacos. I looked around the soda machine area. It was nice and clean, no spilled soda, no sticky counters nice and clean. Was driving around for work and noticed this establishment. It's a newly built corner on Herndon and brawley with different food options. I googled it and saw it was Japanese well.... I love Japanese so I placed a pick up order. Just stuck with the basic chicken plate with brown rice, dumplings and salad. When I walked in I was greeted by the friendliest guy. He had great customer service skills and very upbeat demeanor. The food was ready to go so off I left with my lunch. Everything had good flavor, the sauce wasn't too sweet or overpowering. They gave me a good size portion of protein and brown rice. The salad was a little sad though, hardly any was given to me. The dressing was yummy though. The potstickers (dumplings) were delicious. Last time I came here, I ordered to go and paid extra for white meat chicken but was given dark meat only. Today I went and I was having issues with the kiosk. I asked the employee if it supposed to take several minutes to calculate the total (for 1 item) and she said yeah and didn't try to help. I went to pick it up shortly later. Nice small restaurant. A few tables for seating. Greeted by kind worker & order was ready and handed over. Paid for it and wished a good day! Lunchtime! Chicken tacos - dry, very bland meat, boom boom sauce is flavorless, tortillas were not cooked all the way, the slaw was not slaw at all, it was shredded cabbage with onion. A coworker got the taco trio (all meats) and reported the same with the exception of the beef which was processed meat, not steak at all. Everything was cold, and they had just opened. Today is Saturday.... I've gone to WaBa Grill... THREE TIMES THIS WEEK. This food is delicious! It's fresh and makes me not feel terrible after eating. The ribeye is amazing. I've tried the steak and chicken bowl and now making my way to try the sauces. The boom boom sauce is delicious, as is the garlic Serrano. Every visit so far the service is great. This was my first time at this restaurant and it will be my last time. I've called twice trying to get a refund and ask where was the rest of my order (6 dumplings were missing) and was charged almost twice of what it should have been but have been told that she can't do a refund and that "there's no manager on duty" and "no one in charge." The restaurant is chaotic with no leadership, apparently, and no accountability. If I'm not refunded for the errors of your restaurant's staff, (and there was someone who reread it and verified our order when we put it into the kiosk), yet items were missing and we were double charged from my point of view, I will be taking this to small claims court as this is stealing from the consumer. We weren't able to enjoy our meal in peace. I would NOT recommend this establishment. read more

First time trying Waba Grill and was pleasantly surprised. Me and my husband each got the Chicken and Steak plate. Portion size was good, food tasted good and was nice and hot. We ordered online and the restaurant was nice and clean. Removed one star for customer service. They have ordering kiosks at the counter. The employee we saw did say hi when we first walked in but didn't come up to greet until it was clear that we had not placed an order at the screen. I saw an instagram ad that this place was open and was offering BOGO free kids meal with a regular order. So I thought why not try it and the kids can try it too. There's a small parking lot outside of the establishment that they share it with a couple of other businesses so it gets pretty full but there's more parking next to Habit. It was nice and clean inside with a decent amount of tables and chairs to enjoy your meal. When I went to order I asked about the BOGO and the employee wasn't very fond of me asking about it and said it was only for Los Angeles location. Which didn't make sense when the ad said for their location. I didn't have the ad saved or screenshot so I just said fine and ordered a few plates to go. My kids didn't care for the food so it was disappointing being misled by the IG ad. The food was mediocre. It's not something I'd rave about. If anything I would prefer our local spots like Pete's Teriyaki or Teriyaki Don for their friendly service and their food is much more satisfying. My husband and I have been here a few times and I finally remembered to leave a review. I usually get the beef plate and my husband gets the taco trio. The food here is always fresh and tasty. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. This place is very clean but usually empty when we're here. I believe a lot of their business is takeout. Anyways, I decided to try their tacos since my husband always raves about them. We each ordered the mixed taco trio (chicken, beef and shrimp) and a small order of 5 potstickers. It came to less than $25. We did have to wait a little bit since it's made to order. The tacos were all delicious. Plenty of meat and very fresh veggie toppings. This will be my go to the next time we're here. With the price of fast food now, I think this is a tastier and healthier alternative for sure. read more

The chicken and boom boom sauce were good but the veggies turned out to be a cold salad of bagged lettuce, edamame and cucumbers. Your advertised picture shows broccoli, carrots, green onions and what looks like bok choy. If my food was hot and it wasn't with that cold salad under it. From the picture it's hard to tell how small the bowl is. It's 6.5" diameter and 2"high. It was an incredibly disappointing meal. I won't be back. read more
