Food tasted ok, but we had a major order mixed up issue. We had 1 order of shrimp+beef and 1 order of beef only. When we got home and opened up our boxes, both orders were pretty much mixed up/combined and split. We've been coming here for years and sadly after last nights blatant disrespectful gestures by the two employees, I won't ever come back here. Apparently they started this policy where you need to fit everything including the noodles.....into one small bowl. They have never done that before. The noodles have always been on the kitchen side and they ask if you want noodles with your order or not so you can fill your little bowl up with all your veggies. The lady in front of me was just as confused, and as I watched her trying to pack her bowl with veggies while it's all falling over because because of the noodles on the bottom. I thought that looks so dumb there's no way they would expect us to do that so I got two bowls one for noodles and one for veggies. The lady in front of me ask the worker if we can get two bowls for our things because her veggies were just spilling out and she could barely make her way to the next veggie cart. The worker who was a small Hispanic woman answered us in a tone as if she's been answering that same question all day. She said it all has to be in one bowl and if we get a second bowl it's an extra $7. This is where I had the problem, as I was putting it back she starts smirking at me like I'm the joke for trying to get two bowls. Mind you, I'm 6 months pregnant so of course I look like a big girl right now. So I put the bowl back, try to go about my business I pay and call my husband to tell him how they changed their policy. The girl comes back smirking at me and can hear me talking to my husband about it and so she goes and tells the other cook with a tattoo on his left arm and he starts to smirk and laugh at me. Both of them think it's hilarious that myself and the other customer found it absurd they changed their policy around. I don't know what was so amusing they felt the need to poke fun at smirk pregnant lady? It just never used to be like this we've been coming for the last 6 years but after last night and then constantly changing their menu and policies around I think we're just about done here. This used to be a place you got your moneys worth and you were able to customize and experiment your meal however you wanted which is what I loved about it this place. But now its almost twice in cost for smaller portions in meat and veggies. And now to receive unnecessary attitudes and glares from the employees because you asked a question. Sigh... I truly truly want to support small business and this place has the most wholesome owners, but the latest changes put me in a position where I don't think I can continue coming here. It pains me to even deduct stars from my original review because I know the economic downturn is what's driving the changes. Price has increased a second time in the last few months and one must now include noodles in the vegetable bowl. Prior to this change, the bowl was dedicated solely to veggies and noodles were tacked on before the food was grilled. I'm not going to deduct stars because I think people need to realize that complaining just makes you look incredibly rude/insensitive. Do you think they want their inventory costs to go up? Do you think they want a sriracha shortage in order to deprive you of fcking sauce? Do you think it's easy to make even minimal profit when margins are slim in the restaurant industry and resource cost/distribution is going up EVERYWHERE? Open your fcking eyes and have some decency to at least keep your bitc*ing off Yelp where you exacerbate the business's struggles. I selected my meat choice in the freezer then headed next to the veggie bar to get all my favorites and put it in the bowl they provided. Its small but I was surprised I fit alot in it. I gave the guy behind the counter my tray and he added all the spices I chose. He added the noodles. Then off it went to the grill. He did his magic and in a few minutes came out my order. My husband and I frequent The Loft next door and saw this restaurant open a few months ago (maybe several months ago?) but we were skeptical because this is like the 4th restaurant/food business to occupy this space since we moved to Cypress 5 years ago. But after remembering my brother in law rave about this place, and since our next door neighbor told us this was one of their restaurants (they own another restaurant at Cerritos mall that we've yet to try!), and we wanted to try something new anyway... we decided to try it last night. And, we weren't disappointed! The portions are a great for the price! Very delicious and filling! Hubby and I each had the Mongolian bbq, and teppan chicken bento box for the kids. Love the way Mongolian bbq is set up! First, you pick your box of meat (I had beef, hubby had a chicken/beef combo), then you grab your empty bowl and fill it, stuff it full, mound it up as high as you can with all the different veggies you want. Then you pour scoops of different sauces (we did one of each scoop - except for the spicy sauce, our palates are weak!). Then, you hand it to the cashier, pay, and the guy cooks it for you on the giant flat.... uh... wok? Grill? Lol whatever called. And what comes handed to you in a togo container is this piping hot, delicious dish that's enough to serve two people! Or, eat half for dinner and save the other half for lunch - like what I did! Our kids loved the teppan chicken and steamed rice, too! Hubby and I devoured the salad, cali roll pieces and fried dumplings it came with! Stuffed ourselves full! We will definitely be back! I came to this place after the ramen place i wanted to go to had an hour long wait! I was starving and found this place on yelp so I gave it a try, and I'm so glad I did! The portions were sizable, and the food was delicious. My boyfriend and I each got our own plates and left without about half our meal as leftovers. The employees are extremely nice and helpful. I always get the Mongolian barbecue where you choose from any variety of meats and then, of course, all the vegetables that you want to pile one with which sauces you like to make it spicy or not. It's a tremendous meal, it's healthy, and extremely filling. Also I drive home and then go grocery shopping and get home about a half hour later and the meal is still piping hot. I actually have to wait for it to cool down. They also have Bento, Ramen, Korean Bibim Bap and Sushi, but I always get the Mongolian BBQ. I eat here 3 to 4 nights a week! Guess what... I used to have to go to the mall food court to get my Mongolian bbq fix so I was so happy with this stand alone restaurant opened near me! It follows the same drill, grab a bowl and tray and start piling in the raw veggies. Unlike the mall, where you gotta do the same for the raw meat, the meat here is prepackaged so you don't have to touch the raw meat itself and it doesn't take up space in the bowl :) I add in broccoli, mushrooms, cabbage, zucchini, onions, and bean sprouts. Then I add in 1 scoop of the 6 different sauces and garlic. You then pay the cashier and they cook everything behind the counter. It's a lot cleaner and still tastes great! read more

They have improved from previous people's reviews since the workers speak English, the stages are clearly labeled and it's a lot more customer friendly. I feel like it tastes pretty good but nowhere near Ghengis Khan. The lady serving and charging was really nice vegetable selection was pretty good not very thorough but I can't complain. I noticed that they put the noodles 1st so you fill your bowl with noodles and then vegetables but on my way out I saw somebody had filled their bowl with vegetables 1st and then stacked a huge amount of noodles. It's not AYCE, but how much can one really eat of this stuff? It's super filling with all the noodles, veggies, and meats. And you really can't go wrong with Mongolian BBQ, because you're the one who picked all the stuff on your plate, right? So here's how this works: first pick out your choice of meats. These come pre-packaged and there's choices of: chicken, beef, pork, or seafood options. There's also half beef/chicken, or half beef/pork, etc. For those like myself, you can get two packs of meats for only 2 more bucks. Not too bad. Second, you go along the fresh veggies and start filling up you bowl with whatever you like! Cabbage, onions, mushrooms, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, even tofu. That list wast just off the top of my head, they have most of the common ingredients of a Mongolian BBQ, if you've ever been before. Only difference is you don't need to SMASH all that meat down in the bowl to get you moneys worth. So the whole bowl; fill it up with everything you can fit in there from the veggie buffet tables. Next you just throw on some sauces. This is always the hardest part no matter where you go, because you have no idea what this stuff tastes like til it's in your mouth. Luckily, the kind man & lady are there to help! I usually go with 1 garlic, 2 lemon, 1 chili oil with chili flakes, 1 or 2 house sauce, and 1 BBQ. But there's no law here, just experiment with what u may like. Lastly the noodles. Don't worry if you piled up your veggies and it looks like there's no more room for the final ingredient. They'll take your veggie bowl toss it all on the grill and then put the noodles on themselves. When it's all done, ull have yourself a masterpiece of savory meats, veggies and noodles. Piled high and served up in a box. Most people stop here, but since I can not deny my Filipino-ness, I had to order a side of white rice! Been here a few times. The system they have works quite well, especially for me since I don't have to worry about portioning vegetables and I don't get meat anyway. The veggies have been fresh each time, and the lady at the front is always so cheerful and helpful. I've usually come here once each time I'm in the area since the price point is cheap, and realistically you design everything yourself with Mongolian BBQ anyway. If it comes out wrong, it wasn't the hot plate or anything that did you in. They also do not add a crazy amount of water which is nifty since at some places they'll do that so it steams faster but you lose a lot of the flavor you were going for originally. This is probably the best mongolian me and my husband have ever had. Having no idea where to buy mongolian other than the mall, we ventured onto Yelp and found BBMongolian BBQ not so far from home. They have great reviews, and now I couldn't agree more with them! I would definitely reccomend this place. :) I also liked their set up and prices were fair for the amount of food you receive. Not a true Mongolian bbq place, they portion out the shaved meat in plastic boxes, which is expensive- prefer they invest $ in allowing more meat in each portion. Also they give you a small little bowl in which you compile your ingredients to make your dish. I used 2 bowls and they tried to charge another $5. A ripoff if you ask me. They portion noodles for you if you want them.. they have rice available at no extra charge, but it's not posted anywhere and is nowhere's to be seen in the place. Apparently you have ask and they'll give you some. They use styrofoam containers which says they are cheap and don't care about our environment. It's not bad, but in the true spirit of what one expects from a Mongolian bbq joint, they have managed to some of the mojo out of the concept in order to make it more profitable.
