Wasted $20, turkey smelled awful like it was old.

Not sure why I paid $20 for this "club sandwich" alone, which did not come with the aioli advertised on the bread, and was super tiny and made with turkey that smelled and tasted rotted and old. Super disappointed. They also close at 17:00 every day, though they advertise a "happy hour" that starts at 14:00...

Go to Lunch Spot. I always order takeout from Bazille since I work in the mall and I am never disappointed. This time we had a bistro club and a shrimp salad. Everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Their management is great, as well as their staff. Fast service, decent prices, and great food.

We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was somewhat busy. The staff were very nice, and it does have a good menu. It's rare that I find a place with a good French Dip sandwhich. Great flavor and a bit of her I was to the au jus.

After a long mid afternoon door dash, one must replenish with some really good food and since Bazille is conveniently located in my beloved Nordstrom, it's hard to belief that life is not rigged in my favor! The food was absolutely delicious and the French press coffee was something to write yelp about. When you shop, you should drop - in, that is! It just amplifies the quality time when you go on a shopping date.

This restaurant is located in the Nordstrom department store. This was honestly not even an option until our movie was too close to showtime and we were starving! First off, who serves calamari without tartar sauce ( drops one point). So, now we're at 4 points. I was told by the waitress that the crab and lobster mac and cheese was amazing. So, what do I do at a place i've never been to? I go with what the waitress says to order. Can you guess what happened next? I was not impressed by the suggestion. (drops another point) Looks like we're at 3 points now and service was super slow so TWO stars serves this place accurately. I also wouldn't return to this place even if I'm shopping and starving again.

Nordstrom Cafe/Bazille Restaurant: I have eaten at Nordstrom since I was a kid and while I worked there, lol. I tried a newer dish, gnocchi with chicken meatballs - a little kick to the sauce and good chicken meatballs. Also, always loved the crab bisque and the crunchy cheesy toast bread they had here so that was classic.

The restaurant is very pretty overall, though the interior is quite dim, making it difficult to read the menu without additional light. The tables were also placed fairly close together. Our server was polite and welcoming throughout the evening. We started with the Korean fried chicken and tuna tataki. The chicken was moist and coated in a sweet and spicy sauce. The tuna tataki was flavorful; however, the taro chips were very thin and tended to break easily when holding the tuna. For our main courses, we ordered the Icelandic cod, rigatoni, Freebird chicken, and a side of whipped potatoes. Dessert was the hazelnut chocolate crunch, which was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the food was enjoyable. That said, the pricing felt more in line with a fine dining experience, while the atmosphere and service were closer to an upscale casual restaurant. Some small details, such as the whipped potatoes being served without a serving spoon, stood out. While minor, these details can make a difference, especially at this price point.

I had the banana pudding, it was perfectly moist and not too strong on the banana. The beers were cold and refreshing on a sat night listening to live bands? Couldn't get any better! We stopped in mid-week for a family dinner after work and even on a Wednesday the place was buzzing. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, which makes for a cozy atmosphere but also means tables are very close together. If you can, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The menu is somewhat minimal, but the food overall was good. I eat gluten-free and noticed the options were a bit limited, which made ordering slightly challenging. I ended up going with the sea scallops. They were nicely cooked, but the portion was smaller than I expected--five small scallops with some vegetables. For the price, I do wish the portion had been a bit more generous. I have to admit I left still a little hungry. My dad ordered the short rib grilled cheese and really enjoyed it. That was probably the standout dish at our table. My sister ordered the honey bourbon chicken and said it was okay, but afterward she mentioned she probably should have gone with the short rib grilled cheese instead. One surprise of the night was live music on a Wednesday. I usually enjoy live music, but since we were hoping to catch up as a family it made conversation a little difficult. The music was fairly loud for such a small space. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. They also have a rewards program, which worked out nicely--my dad received a complimentary dessert for his birthday. I ordered the crème brûlée, which was a great way to end the meal. A couple practical tips: parking in Ridgewood can be tricky. The restaurant advertises valet parking, though we didn't use or see it during our visit. If you find street parking, make sure to feed the meter because the town is known for giving out tickets. In warmer months they do offer some outdoor sidewalk seating, though it looks fairly limited. It also appears they have a happy hour, though we didn't arrive in time to try it. Overall, I'd recommend checking out Steel Wheel Tavern--just be mindful of the timing of your visit, especially if you're hoping for a quieter dinner.

Kitchen view; Nice sized bar with all the good stuff; Excellent food and drinks! Big public parking lot next door. But keep in mind it doesn't come cheap. What looks (and is) very casual is still in Westwood ( an always evolving Foodie town). A true artisanal menu. I suggest you look at the menu and Google some terms because you're going to see some ingredients & foods that are not common place. Multiple types of Mozzarella ( and other cheeses) Home made pastas that you don't always see anywhere (no penne or spaghetti here!) Our group of four is infamous for ordering A LOT off the menu and sharing; No two like items here. Apps Choose a basket of one of the bread choices; Make sure you try some cheeses ( REAL Italian burrata and REAL Italian buffalo mozzarella from Italy here!) A MUST--Italian Stracciatella ( stringy & soft cheese like Mozzarella with house made Hummus in a Roasted Garlic Pinsa Romana that came with pita. Even the hot honey mozzarella sticks made a common item great. Everything is expensive so I get it but it just didn't blow my bra onto the bathroom ceiling. 260 a couple and one wasn't drinking is reasonable If anything was wow...the best bite of the night was the 10.00 fresh table side bite of mozzarella...it's the one thing we've circled back to talking about over the evening. 26 of those bites would have been way cooler and delicious...which is a good idea for next time. Clams, tasty breadcrumbs. Couldn't find a clam...with both hands, it tasted good if not a little dry just didn't really get "clam" Mozzarella sticks....tasty breadcrumbs and hot honey. But no pull. Focaccia? Over well?? Dark on All sides and only ordered bc our entree was "saucy"...plot twist...it was not. Inventive with the sausage chicken cutlet but scarpiello is supposed to be spicy, sharp...this was roasted peppers on a sausage chicken cutlet with not a drop of sauce. (We shared this, decent serving but for the price you couldn't even garnish the plate?) Chicken scarpimellow maybe ? Cocktails? Tiny and just ok, nothing to write home about and a lot of "just bc you can doesn't mean you should" I want a cocktail with alcohol not molecular gastronomy in a shot glass. The espresso martini was very good, I will give them a 9 on that. The staff was the star, friendly attentive but I can't say knowledgeable because the focaccias sole purpose was for sauce that didn't exist and she didn't come back to ask so here we are with focaccia that came out before apps for an entree that didn't need it. The worst element was that at various points the restaurant was filled with an acrid smell of burning plastic or food or something and it was very off putting but it wasn't a delicious scent. Also, for the vibes and the cost the influencer in gym shorts really throws that whole mood yes society is more casual now but gym shorts aren't really appropriate at any restaurant with the same price point. I'd give it another shot in the future maybe just for cocktails and hand fed cheese.
