Everything I have tried here is good, especially the nicoise salad with salmon and the ham and swiss sandwich. YUM! We found this to be a decent place, but not similar to the typical Nordstrom's standards. Food was flavorful and decent, ambience was nice. But nothing exceptional. Nordstrom is my favorite store in the Galleria and I've actually ignored the cafe for years...I don't eat when I shop, it just gets in the way! Went for a lunch date with some friends and I was pleasantly surprised...it's really nice inside. Are the waiters working on commission? My waitress kept pushing the wine and mimosas on me. Damn lady, I said no! Everything is more expensive because they use 'high quality' ingredients or whatever. I've been on a salad kick lately and ordered the shrimp and lime salad which was really good and filling. The tomato basil soup was yummy too. My friend got the mac and cheese. We eat here monthly. It's family friendly and the food and service are consistently good. There are both healthy and more indulgent options available to please any palette. However, ever since they changed names to Bazilles, the portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller. The kids meal used to come with raisins and fruit. The raisins are no longer there and the fruit portion shrinks a little more with each visit. They added a burger to the menu which is a plus. For a restaurant with a high chair at almost every table, they should know better. Maybe they're just trying to squeeze the shopping mamas out and appeal to a different clientele! Waiters are always great while the hosts are not so on top of it. Decent place to eat while shopping that is not fast food. read more

I would never go out of my way to come here unless I was at the Galleria and everyone in my party wanted to go. The food is well-prepared, staff attentive, and it has a nice ambiance--but there is no wow factor here for me. The flavors do not stand out and the menu seriously lacks vegetarian offerings (about two salads, sometimes soup, and a couple pizzas). They seem to have a good seafood selection if you're into that. Prices are pretty steep for lunch--between $10-$18 per dish, and for two people this afternoon we paid about $40 (without any appetizers or alcohol). I guess there is something kind of glamorous about shopping at Nordstroms and then stopping at the top floor cafe, neither of which I do often, but the appeal stops there for me. This is one of the nicer places to eat in the Galleria mall. The atmosphere and service are good. The bistro menu has variety in spite of not being extensive. The jumbo lump crab cake is delicious - it's all crab and no filler. Their salads - especially the pear and blue cheese are excellent. They also rotate out 3 different pizza choices that are strong. Their bisque soup and french onion are also excellent. The Cafe Bistro fills up for lunch very quickly. Get there by 11:30 or expect to wait for a while. read more

I want to give this place a million stars I'm just that impressed. We went for Mother's Day and had a reservation which made things very easy and were seated immediately. We started with the Grilled Cheese Tomato soup. This was the Soup de Jour and why it's not on the menu all the time I have no idea because it was the most decadent delicious soup I've ever had, and I LOVE soup. Cheese, tomato, croutons, and truffle oil are you kidding me?! We were all scraping the bowls. The shrimp/lime/cilantro salad is great, big shrimp and a nice light flavorful dressing. The roast chicken was pretty good (seemed a little fatty) and great fries. My mother and grandmother wanted dessert so they got a slice of the chocolate cake with toffee I believe. I'm not much on sweets but it was pretty good and they were totally loving it. The staff couldn't have been better. They were attentive but weren't constantly interupting unnecessarily, which is nice when you're catching up and opening presents. When I'm at the galleria, I prefer having lunch dates at this quaint bistro tucked away on Nordstrom's third floor. The menu is reasonable and the environment leaves a subtle getaway from the bustling mall. On this particular occasion, I decided to bring my girlfriends here though we have missed the lunch hours. Early dinner is a little pricier so be prepared for that, but the quality of food remains the same. I was a little saddened because I was anticipating a sandwich. The food did not kill my craving as I had angel hair this time. Not the same. Totally not the restaurant's fault but it just didn't feel like it was as worth it this time around. It's probably because I was on a brunch-lunch mindset and was thrown into an early dinner setting... I guess it wouldn't be too fair to dock off a star. However, service here, for a nice establishment, is kind of spotty. Sometimes the hostesses are simply absent-minded and sometimes the servers are unattentative. I will give it to our server Chris this time as he is probably the best server I've had here in years. Go Chris! :) Ok. Overall... Better alternative to the food court. Those pomme frites are to die for. Definitely a must for lunch. The bistro club is my absolute favorite. I love avocados in sandwiches so that's my bias. The honey chipotle chicken sandwich is tasty too. For dinner I would recommend the salmon gazpacho. If you are looking to do pasta... I want to say its better to head towards Cheesecake Factory. I like Nordstrom very much, and honestly didn't know there was Bazille. I was pleasantly surprised with the food quality. We had BLT salad with a cilantro dressing and a sautéed chicken with a pomodoro sauce. Both dishes were great, but I have to say the BLT salad was outstanding. Usually bustling on a weekend, grab a buzzer and multitask your brief 20 minute wait in the home section - my new favorite quote on a jewelry tray: Life's a party, dress for it. Occupying prime retail space, expect to be cozily surrounded by your fellow patrons - not obnoxiously close, but I wouldn't suggest trying to have a private conversation. We settled in and ordered off-menu for cocktails; boasting a full bar, we opted for the kir royale to toast a fruitful shopping day. Our server shared the daily specials with a flair, enticing me to order the salad with egg and bacon. Boy was this the right choice! We also opted to share the bistro club, our server graciously accommodating us by already splitting both entrees and serving them as salad/sandwich combos. The salad arrived with a beautifully fried egg laying upon fresh arugula and field greens with generous bacon crumbles. The runny yolk provided ample dressing, with each bite part salad part breakfast. Next up, the bistro club was expertly layered with fresh deli sliced turkey, bacon, avocado and a spicy aioli on grilled focaccia bread. As if that wasn't enough, the club comes with an extra large side of crispy fries and spicy aioli. Pro-tip: Do all your clothes shopping BEFORE you indulge in the crispy goodness of these fries because you won't be able to stop. I might have just had a single bad experience...but it has been a long time since I have had this bad of an experience. We came on a saturday night with friends. First off the waitress had told us about the specials and which food was good on the menu which was nice. She elaborated on the dishes very well. Then, about 20 minutes later, no one had come back to take our orders. It's also not that they were busy...There were about 2 other tables at the time with people. We had to flag down another waitress who was very sorry no one took our orders. She was very polite. She even offered some bread/butter which I don't know if that normally comes with the meal or not. We ordered the crab macaroni and cheese, grilled shrimp, asparagus risotto, and the chicken pasta dish. The food was good except for the chicken. It looked cooked on the outside but it was very raw on the inside. I don't know if it is because they rushed it due to them being late in the first place. We had also come in kind of late and their restaurant was closing. I would not recommend going here...unless you want to risk getting sick from undercooked chicken. They didn't charge us for the chicken, but since we barely ate it, it didn't matter anyway. They offered us dessert, but we declined since the service was so slow anyway and it was closing time. I made enough time to stop in while at Nordstroms since I've seen pics of the desserts...I'm Ben and I have a sweet tooth..so I wanted to have lunch and see for myself. I ordered shrimp and risotto for my entree. It was..just OK. It tasted like someone read a recipe off a package and was able to make it just as is...and with not much else. It wasn't bad tasting just was very over priced for what it was. For dessert I had the bread pudding with white chocolate. It LOOKED soooooo good... It tasted just ok. Just as the risotto, there was no depth of flavor..just put together. The staff was also really inattentive. The restaurant was very slow yet it was hard to get any attention for a refill or just to ask a question. Lucky for me..my beer was good : ) I still love Nordstroms and so should you..even if their restaurant is blah. I give 2 stars for blah food and reluctant servers. The grilled chicken is pounded flat. In addition, I ordered a cup of crab bisque. Update. Got an email saying that they changed their name and their menu so I went back to check it out. I was really sad when I found out that they took away their mango tea.... but my favorite salads and fries are still on the menu! I highly recommend their Lime & Cilantro Shrimp salad and Nicoise salad with salmon. The dressing goes really well with the salad and cilantro haters can actually eat this dish without tasting it! Well maybe I'm exaggerating a bit too much, but I do have a friend that doesn't eat cilantro and love this salad. As for the nicoise salad, I personally don't like salmon that much but they make it really good here with this dish. Also another must have dish here is their fries! The fries come with a purple dipping sauce. I believe it's made out of olives and other spices. I don't know why it taste so good, but it's the best fries in town! I usually never get to order dessert since I get so stuff with the salad and fries...but if you have room for dessert, try their bread pudding and creme brulee. All and all this place is awesome! After I informed the waitress of my son's serious nut allergy, she had Chef George come to the table. He was delightful! He answered all our questions and provided us with some wonderful options for my son. Chef George even heated a separate batch of canola oil to cook my son's fries, and found a safe bread to make him a grilled cheese. It is so difficult to have a child with life-threatening food allergies as it often requires eating primarily at home. I read some good reviews on the chipotle honey chicken sandwich, so that's what I went with. It was good. I wasn't a big fan of the chutney spread that they put in it. Is that even what it was? Or was that some seasoned tomatoes? Because it was a take out, I think I ruined the french fries that way. The staff was really nice. Overall, my food was just OK. I love coming to the Bistro because it's a reasonably priced alternative to traditional [unhealthy and disgusting] mall food. It's also in Nordstrom, which I frequent often. If you're a Nordstrom card holder, you should definitely dine here; they accept the card, and you'll get points towards your account! Perfect place to eat lunch before a big shopping haul. The environment is pleasant and well lighted. I've also never had a problem with service here. I usually get the Caesar Salad or Warm Asian Glazed Chicken Salad. I like my salads to have several ingredients and components so that there are varying textures and tastes. Their salads are fresh and flavorful. My family always gets the Crab Stack; probably their favorite menu item here. A couple times, we've ordered items that were too salty, such as the Crab Bisque and Prosciutto sandwich (not on the menu, was a special). It is also quite handy that this places is inside Nordstrom for when there is a wait you can go browse and entertain yourself. One of my worst ever experiences in a Nordstrom cafe. I been to Nordstrom's Cafe's or now called Bazille in Seattle, California, Arizona and have always found their food, service and attitude towards a client to be outstanding. Unfortunately yesterday experience was very disappointing. Started with a waitress with attitude, really not caring about our order, pretending not to hear and being careless about the service. Ordered a kids meal, tacos and soup. The noodles were not cooked, the tacos were "Barbie size " as my daughter called it and the soup was good. We returned the pasta and received a negative attitude from our waitress (no apologize whatsoever, effort or willingness to correct the situation). We didn't know that the tacos were small plates (they do well on the mini portions) but 7 USD for 2 mini taco? We approached the manager who listened but remain indifferent and unresponsive, not even an apology for the inconvenience. To complement lunch I ordered a salad which came faster than pasta, which took forever to be served, I was almost done eating my salad when the pasta came. The pasta was now well done but super salty. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Did not received any discount or apology. Nordstrom please take a close look at the staff and management at this location, we were expecting the good service that characterizes your but found a very unpleasant and disappointing experience.
