Enjoyed our time at The Brasserie. We were at New Realm next door for a drink then decided to go over to The Brasserie for dinner. The interior is very extravagant and wide open. It was also nicely decorated for the holidays. Rather waiting at a table we sat at one of their bars. I had a Stella to drink and ordered their Nicoise Salad. the salad has fresh greens, egg, green beans, juicy tomatoes, olives, potato confit, and topped with seared Tuna. I don't usually order something like this for dinner but I'm glad I did because It was super deliciousssss. I would like to go back soon to check out their other items on the menu. Stopped by the host stand outside to ask a quick question as I was walking the Beltline. Walking up, I noticed the hostess was yelling loudly over the heads of seated patrons towards people on the Beltline to get customers to come try margaritas. I consider this to be fairly rude already and I wouldn't appreciate it if I were eating at this establishment. However, the other host said a rude, flippant comment to me when I was not even speaking to him. Both these staff members were young, so maybe they're inexperienced in food service. Regardless, staff members at the host stand are expected to be the face of any establishment as they're the first people customers interact with. If this experience was any indication of the level of service you would expect from dining at Bazati, I would stay away. read more

Weird thing #1: We made reservations to celebrate my friend's birthday two weeks in advance. When we arrived, the hostess didn't bother looking for our reservation and said we didn't have one. She told us we could go upstairs to the patio for drinks. We were confused. We got help from another employee, who found our reservation. We made a reservation for the patio, but for whatever reason, our table was taken. We could only sit inside. With all things COVID, this wasn't what we planned for, but we went with it anyways. We were seated and the hostess said "there must've been a misunderstanding" and walked away. Weird thing #2: When my friend wanted to place a drink order and asked what kind of tequila they offered, the waitress insisted that she walk over to the bar and find out for herself. We eventually got a list of options from her, ordered drinks, but they sat at the bar for a smooth 15 minutes in a somewhat empty dining room waiting to be delivered. The bartender did wave as he leaned over our drinks though. Awkward. Weird thing #3: After all was said and done, we wanted to go back upstairs to the patio for drinks after dinner. Mind you - we reserved a table. The restaurant treats the patio like a club and had bouncers at the steps. The bouncer told us we could not go upstairs because they were at capacity. While he says this, he lets 8 additional people walk up to the patio. Us, completely confused as to why he's allowing them to walk upstairs ask him, "well what about them?!" He proceeds to tell us they all ate dinner with the restaurant and had tables. SO DID WE...but sure, ok. After going back and forth with him for 10 minutes, he allows us to go upstairs (attitude and all). It's uncomfortable being an all Black party of 5 women treated as if we don't belong in the building. I wish the experience didn't feel like this as we really wanted to like this place - great location, pretty good food, overall, cute restaurant. But, if you look anything like me - go ahead and save your money. There's other great restaurants on the Beltline that will treat you kindly and provide excellent service - like Two Urban Licks right next door. I highly do not recommend. read more

I love what the owners have done here. The Brasserie is the full restaurant in Bazati that highlights French cuisine. The decor is beautiful with open spaces, dining tables, and comfy chairs near the bar where you can lounge. During the day lots of natural light floods the space through the tall glass windows and at night, the many light fixtures also brighten the space. I sat at one of the bars just to have an after-dinner drink, and ordered a glass of wine. Minus one star because the bartender was not knowledgeable at all about any of the wines on the list and was therefore not very helpful although friendly. I get that it was their opening night, but one would expect a bit more knowledge on the servers' part from an establishment of this caliber. That being said, I am looking forward to returning to try some of their food. read more

Best escargot ever. Scallops delish! Steak Frites perfect. Such smooth wine, both red and white. The patio was not open at the time but I hear that it is now. The fact that they have merchants adjoining the restaurant brings this market atmosphere that is simply invigorating. I enjoyed one benefit of the market as the recipient of a beautiful rose from the florist. We will return time and time again. read more

Wow!!! This place gets two stars for the nice interior and the bar man makes good drinks. The food is HORRIBLE!!!! I ordered a burger and my girl got the smoked salmon Benny. After 45min we asked how much longer would it be for the food. The restaurant was empty due to the coronavirus a lot of people weren't eating out. When we get our food smoked salmon Benedict came with no salad, no capers, no onions just the bun,salmon,egg. I asked where the rest of it was. They came back with a wilted salad. I had to ask again for the capers/onions. After the third item they forgot to add to the dish they decided to redo the whole plate. Second coming was decent but we were over it. I asked for a medium burger I got a dry very well done burger. What is obvious is NO ONE IS IN CHARGE. There is no manager who is really running the show. Even from the other pictures in other reviews you can see not much care is put into the food or presentation. Shame because the location is great. Only saving grace is the barman. This is a super cute restaurant with beautiful, classy, and vibrant decor. I was only there for dessert and coffee, but they have a full menu. They were out of coffee so it ended up being just dessert for us. We got creme brûlée which was creamy and sweet, but I was expecting more from a French restaurant. Other than it's a cute spot for a date and or just to hangout. There's even a store in the back with books and fabric to buy or just glance at. Exceeded expectations! I read some previous reviews in advance after a client chose The Brasserie for a business dinner; I probably wouldn't have picked it based on those reviews -- but I couldn't object since the client chose the spot. :) But I'm happy to report that we had an overwhelmingly positive experience. Please don't let the previous reviews prevent you from trying this place. We started with the cheese plate and beef tartare. Although other reviews complained about the amount of cheese for the price, I thought the servings (3 big hunks) were quite generous. I had the duck confit served with roasted fingerling potatoes and duck jus. You can choose between 1 leg or 2. I got 2 because I thought maybe the portion would be small, but I probably would've been satisfied with just 1 -- there was a lot of meat on each leg. The duck was cooked really well, with crispy skin on the outside and tender on the inside. Only teensy-tiny complaint: it was a little too salty, at least in combo with the potatoes and jus. Other people in my party had the scallops, steak frites, and pork chop -- they were all pleased with their orders and finished each and every bite. We shared a trio of desserts: creme brulee, chocolate done two ways, and an apple torte. All were really lovely. The space is beautiful and service was generally warm and friendly. I'm giving 4 rather than 5 stars because of the salty, rather one-note nature of the duck confit and because I thought service at times was just a touch off from what I'd expect of a well-oiled machine (for example: our waitress asked a few people for drink orders but didn't ask others at the table if they wanted anything; the staff was quick to clear our plates from the shared plates even before the cheese was finished, but then there was a long pause before entrees were served). read more

I went out with my gal pals for a birthday dinner. I was really looking forward to the evening. However, the dinner was awful. The potatoes were undercooked, the service was bad, the manager got into an argument with one of the gals in our group because we wanted to get a refund on one of our awful plates. The brussels were full on burned. We just wanted to get a refund on the horrible plates we could not eat. The manager refused. I would not recommend this establishment for eating. 1/2 price bottles, $1 oysters !!! We happened upon this gem randomly on our search for a happy our deal. First, let me say... Brian the bar manager is everything! He casually selected a custom bottle of Cabernet for my self and my wine snob of a sister that was amazing. He was so well versed in his craft and made our first visit very memorable. The view from the bar area was breathtaking at sunset and the interior decor is boho shiek and comfy. The oysters are super fresh and clean ! Not quality French food at all. Previous reviews are correct: overpriced and no good: how can you mess up greens? The lettuce that came with the croque-monsieur was super salty and soggy (as noted by previous yelpers). To make matters worse, the chocolate duo has no ice cream at all, just some nasty gelatin, ditto for the so-called profiteroles. What a letdown. Yuck! Drinks are expensive! Disappointed to say I will NOT be returning for a meal to The Brasserie. This place offers a weak French food menu but also the French aloof service. Today was my wife and I's first time here. It's a beautiful day so we sat outside which has a great view of the belt line. She orders the trout, I ordered the burger. The trout was just OK, a bit tasteless and it took a good 25mins to come to the table. Also it's hard to mess up a burger, but The Brasserie figures a way to make a burger without much taste. On top of over priced yet under flavored food, service was slow and inattentive. I had to stand up to grab my server to ask for the first and only water refill and my own check. I've been here twice, once when it opened in September and once last weekend. I'm sort of torn, because I like this restaurant, but at the same time I wish it could be better. I like how the restaurant looks. It has a different feel from the other two major restaurants on the beltline (2 urban licks and new realm). It's quiet, elegant, refined. You can take your time conversing with your group and you don't feel like to have to talk over the music in the background or the parties seated next to you. The service tends to be slow, which I actually like because it allows you to soak up the atmosphere, which is really nice. They have large windows which basically makes up the entire wall facing the beltline, so you can enjoy the outside scenery. On warmer days they have great outside patio seating. Inside, there are several cool small shops adjacent to the seating areas(a cigar store, a flower shop and umbrella store etc.) that bring a nice eclectic feeling. The food was ok. I really like french food. I've been to France and I lived in NYC where they have great french food, a so I might be overly critical on this. I don't think it's that much better or worse than the other french food in Atlanta. The steak tartare was ok, the fois gras was decent, I liked their french onion soup. They have decent offerings but, nothing that makes me say, "I need to go back and try that dish again." I do think some of the reviews on yelp currently are a bit harsh. The food and service has improved greatly since opening and will probably still improve over time. read more

The Brasserie at Bazati is new. I went at the end of their second or third week being open and they must still be working through the kinks. We had a reservation which noted we'd like to be on the patio. We spoke to a gentleman when we arrived and told us to browse the shops while they set up our table and he would grab us. After about 15 minutes we checked back in at the hostess stand and the lady said it would still be a new more minutes. We were waiting on one person in our party to arrive and checked back in when she got there and were taken to be seated by one person who has also taking another group and did not communicate that to us. So once the disaster of getting seated was complete, we ordered a bottle of rose and a dozen oysters. I ordered the omelet, it was the perfect French omelet! Others in our party loved their dishes as well. All the food was delicious! However, we had to ask our waitress several times for refills, silverware and she forgot an odder for coffee 3x... I've been hesitant to go back due to all the issues they have, hopefully they're now worked out because the food was too good not to go back. read more

I went here for dinner on Friday night. They were busy just like any other restaurant off the Beltline but they still gave great service. As far as the food goes, I'd say everything was beyond what I expected. We shared the escargot which was very delicious. I ordered the trout by recommendation of our waiter. It came with rice and asparagus. Everything on my plate was great! My date ordered the tuna salad and the tuna was perfectly seasoned. I don't like salads but I will definitely return to order that salad. read more

My first time on a Friday business lunch. The place was not busy and our service was great. Our server just wrapped up her first week, but she was delightful. We had the chance to speak with the chef (Remy) who was very pleasant and knew his food. I had a simple Chicken dish that was quite good. Very juicy on a bed of rice with finely diced tomatoes. My colleague had the mussels which were absolutely delicious. I'll get those next time. The Manager and General Manager both stopped by and spoke with us. STRONG. I've been on a French kick lately, and when I heard that the chefs from Bread and Butterfly had made their way here, I was intrigued enough to give it a shot. The ambiance is great. Open, modern, industrial even (?) but it all feels homey and familiar somehow. Fantastic, top of the charts service - warm, friendly, greeting us with a smile and seating us right away. It was nearly empty at 7:00, but was completely full by 7:30 - recommend getting a reservation if you're going on a weekend night. Great drinks, and they favor authentic French cocktails and wine. We both had the Updated French 75, and it was delicious. The Malbec had sold out and been replaced by a Cab Franc, but my lady paired it with the Steak Frites and it went perfectly. I had the pinot noir and it went great with the Duck Confit. Speaking of the food - spectacularly good. Reasonably priced, great portions, and delicious. In addition to our mains we had the pork rillette and let me tell you, I loved every bite. A great evening, a great spot. If you like high level cooking that doesn't feel showey or stuffy, this is the place for you. read more

Lounge / bar area is very relaxing and overlooks the beltline. This is a gem for the neighborhood as it includes several bar and lounge areas, a dining room, patio, and rooftop. As a former server myself I was really turned off by the obvious mistreatment of staff at this establishment. Our drinks were wonderful, my server was hilarious and SO knowledgable - she made our entire night....despite subpar seafood and the whole menu being oil/butter/cheese based with little seasoning other than salt. Unfortunately it was clear that over the course of our (2+) hour stay, she only had one table other than us...a two top having a very casual night. They were clearly overstaffed and I felt extremely sympathetic to all involved. It did not seem like any of the servers were receiving the right amount of tables (or tips as a result) The staff there seemed super knowledgable and capable...I feel like our server could have run the whole restaurant if given the chance. I enjoyed the aspect of being able to shop around at the pop-ups while waiting on my food. I appreciated that much of what was for sale was imported from other countries, but I wish a small section would have been dedicated to local/ATL art. We are out of towners and are always looking to buy local when we are in a new place. Support servers! Support local art! read more

Please be careful, I took my leadership team here for dinner. The food was tasty. I went to give them the card to pay for the night. The waitress gave us the receipt, but not the detailed portion. It turns out that they automatically take 20% tip for groups over a certain amount. So she purposely did not give detailed receipt in hopes of a double tip. The automatic tip came out to $163.70 and "we" tipped $200 before we saw detailed receipt. Once we saw that, we scribbled out the extra tip. The place is really nice, right on the beltline with outdoor seating. Unfortunately, that's about as good as The Brasserie gets. Went to The Brasserie with my wife to celebrate her birthday. I made reservations but the place was almost completely empty on a Wednesday night so they were not really necessary. We sat outside and there is a great view of the city from here. The brewery next door had a guy playing extremely depressing renditions of popular songs on the patio next door which killed the mood where we were, but that's not the restaurant's fault. We were seated and after about 35 minutes I had to flag down a server because all we had was water and had not had a chance to order. There were only 3 other tables with customers outside and 1 inside so I don't know why it took them so long. We ordered drinks, some of which they did not have, and apps. The apps were fairly good, but not great. We ordered dinner after another 35 minute wait for our server. The Steak & Frites tasted a bit weird and the Coq Au Vin was OK, but not great. We decided to skip dessert to avoid further disappointment and went elsewhere instead. There are MUCH better French restaurants in Atlanta and The Brasserie is just not good enough to repeat, especially at the prices they charge. read more
