Mall management has completely destroyed the place. I worked in the mall for several years between different stores. I was friends with employees from several other stores, and I even remember once when I was planning to leave my current store and was applying elsewhere, a manager from a store I didn't even shop at offered me a position. Management was openly racist toward the Burger King owners while also refusing to hold up their end of the contract regarding maintenance, Foot Locker had a roof leak for years that damaged multiple $150+ pairs of shoes and the concrete floor in the stockroom had a huge crack from the big earthquake many years ago, The Children's Place had a leak in the roof over the storage loft. Now there's barely anything left. You can no longer access Walmart OR TJ Maxx from inside the mall, there's basically no food court left (just the Food Poisoning Express, the Taqueria, and the fruit place). When I moved away six years ago, the mall still got packed during the holidays. Now it's just sad. Even the permanent kiosks are gone. Sunglass Hut and that one jewelry place. Y'all need to fix the mall. Lower the rents, get businesses back in there. Replace the management with someone competent. Edit: I just read through some other reviews and saw that someone else also apparently called the one place the Food Poisoning Express thank goodness I'm not alone here! The health department has had to step in way too many times for that place to have lasted this long. read more

I find this mall to be RIDICULOUS particularly the mall security whose a bunch of lame old farts trying to be badasses because they never became anything in their life but a PAUL BLART rent a cop. Who works for minimum wage goes on frequent power trips and oversteps their authority. Instead of actually doing the job their supposed to be doing like kicking out the shady people who are a threat to the mall patrons safety all they do is racial profile people they think are shoplifting and harass them, for instance the other day I was trying to buy some clothes at kohls when I noticed everyone was watching me and a suspicious middle aged fatso was in hot pursuit of me with a ear piece in his ear like he was a bodyguard for the president walking around with his hands behind his back and blocking every exit I was near at this point I had realized they thought I was shoplifting even though I frequently buy overpriced crap from that store all the time and was about to spend over a hundred dollars on a couple pairs of pants which by the way I still bought my clothes even though I shoulda put them back and when I went to get in my car the wannabe national security followed me out in the parking lot and watched me drive away, I felt uncomfortable harassed and offended I'm never returning there again thanks to that, the funny thing is while those dummies are racial profiling and stalking anyone of color I bet they are getting robbed blind by people who are actually shoplifting. read more

Due to the enormous homeless rate existing behind the Bayshore mall which many of us know as the Devils playground, the Bayshore mall has become a stomping ground for dangerous desperate homeless people constantly and aggressively demanding change and or any amount of money and food from shoppers that just want to shop safely unbothered by this epidemic of transients. Respectfully I understand that the security office existing in the mall do the best they can to regulate this issue however... When honest good people become assaulted, violated, and personal vehicles vandalized it is apparent that this is no longer a safe place to handle your shopping needs. In conclusion serious steps need to be made to remove these dangerous opportunists from continuing to violate and create a dangerous uncomfortable shopping environment! I will be happy to change my review when I am no longer approached with threats, vandalism, and violent behavier coming from these people that literally live behind the mall. I understand that this is not an easy problem to fix as I am a certified guard myself through the federal department of investigation and understand the laws and liabilities pertaining to the rights of these scum lords that take complete advantage of what they know that they can get away with! Where did the arcade go, first of all? It was the only saving grace of this god forsaken mall. Hot topic and Claire's are the only stores remotely mall-like. This mall is honestly really scary. I'm guessing demonic possession from the devils playground. Everywhere you walk in the mall there is a bleak, dark, depressing energy. Los gallos is so dank though and Burger King got that tight soda machine but that doesn't make up for all the sadness I experience when going to bayshore. Game stop smells like B.O. Every time I leave the mall I question why I'm even alive and why I even live here. For the love of god, bring the arcade back. The little fake animal bikes you can ride around won't save this mall. The overgrown area behind the mall is an abandoned industrial complex covered with graffiti, perfect for bonfire drinking parties except for the fact its also a huge homeless encampment. Suggested recreational diversion: park at the McDonald's on 101 near sunset, and watch throngs of homeless emerge from the shrubbery like throngs of the Undead, to engage in antics and shenanigans in the Mall parking lot for all to see. Tweaker babes changing clothes in front of children, grazers entering Walmart to feast in the store aisles while ignoring staff's increasingly frantic orders to stop . . . Priceless entertainment, you'll laugh and laugh like broken glass. read more

When I was a kid here in the late 80's early 90's the mall was crowded and had almost every single outlet filled as well as numerous kiosks lining the main pathways. Since around the year 2000 it has slowly been losing its stores and raising its rental prices far too hi. I think it was when Broadway Cinema beat out The Movies at the Mall when it lost its magic. The food court lost Arby's and Orange Julius and most of the places I enjoyed eating. I still shop here because Humboldt has no other options really but at this point it isn't an enjoyable place to be anymore, its get in get out and quick. read more

This mall has it all! Broken ceiling tiles, a shitty food court, stuck up baristas and a Claire's! No, seriously, this mall has very little going for it. Other than being the only real mall in Eureka (maybe Humboldt?), it doesn't make sense that it stays open. Their theater, which was the "cheap" theater, just closed. The Radio Shack has very little, the Sunglass Hut is overpriced just like it is everywhere else and the local shops seem to promote the pothead ideal that is Humboldt county. The only mall I've ever seen bongs in, I will give it that. Their saving grace: Kohls. read more

Whatever.....I shop the mall once in awhile, but now adays everyone shops online so why are you "out-of-towners" complaining? This mall is very ghetto and extremely rundown. Interior was literally dead and vacant. It totally needs to me demolished, remodeled, and add more new stores to support more business. There were tons of homeless and drug mules in the parking lot and inside the mall too. That was a big problem and will ruin the city of Eureka. I definitely advise anyone not to visit this mall. read more

Better than nothing as a place in the middle of nowhere :-) I am happy that they are actually adding new stores like ULTA, Petco, Marshalls etc. We, people of Humboldt should support instead of criticizing what we have. People in general here take for granted the things we have. We just complain on almost everything but never realized the good effect of it. read more

Mall is pretty empty.. There are not many stores open. Pretty much u can see the fear on employees. Like if they are waiting to hear the news that their store will be out of business's too. How sad an depressing this place is. I guess nothing good here... At least for the little stores. There is a Ross and a khols. Other than that this town is a ghost one. read more

It sucks here someone save me. More closed stores than open and people constantly steal from here. Also so many people don't wear their masks. Results in the stores being neglected and not having very much product to sell. Can't have shit in Detroit... I mean, Eureka. read more
