This Walmart is pretty small and not too many big selections on items. Service was average and staff were somewhat helpful. Ambiance was kind of unsatisfactory and parking lot can be spooky sometimes due to the homeless problem. read more

My husband waited until the last minute to buy a dress shirt and Walmart.com had one of the quickest shipping times, so I ordered him a stack to try on. He's 6'8", so it's rare that we can find something in store for him. I placed one order, which came in five different packages, and charged as five separate transactions - typically not a problem, but more on this later. We consulted the size charts online and according to the measurements, every item should have fit him. Spoiler: NONE of them did. Even the tall sizes left nearly 2 inches of his stomach exposed. When I returned the items, the man behind the customer service desk asked what the reason for the return was, to which I replied that the size chart was grossly inaccurate, so they were all too small. His response? "Wow, I've never heard someone complaining about 3X being too small." Love the dose of fat-shaming with my transaction, thanks for that. So, he did the return, took back all the items, handed me my receipt, and sent me on my way. I happened to glance at the receipt on my way out, and I had only been refunded for one of the 8ish items. Back to the customer service desk, waited in line again, and had to explain to the man that I was missing 75% of my refund. Apparently when Walmart.com splits it into a bunch of transactions, the customer service desk has to return each one separately, despite it originally being the same order, and having one order number. Ten minutes later, I was finally on my way, with my complete refund. I'm frustrated, because 1) that seems like a dumb way to do it, Walmart.com, 2) the cashier should have been trained correctly and 3) he should have confirmed the correct total before ending the transaction. read more

We were passing through on the way to Crescent City and decided to stop by Walmart to buy some household necessities and food. I am not a fan of Walmart in general, but this is by far the worst Walmart I have ever visited. First, finding the entrance to the store was difficult. We parked in the front of the mall and walked several minutes to find the entrance inside of the mall only to discover they closed that entrance in January 2025 due to "safety reasons". This should have been a sign to cut our losses and go shopping elsewhere. We drove around to the other side of the mall to enter. Upon entering, it was clear that the staff has issues keeping up with stocking the shelves. Many items were locked likely due to shoplifting and other "safety issues" present at this store. The most disappointing part of our visit was the lack of produce. We wanted to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, but all we found was frozen and canned items. This is unacceptable for any grocery store. We will not be returning to the store and will warn our friends and family that may passing through the area to steer clear. read more

There's always just one random clerk walking around who can actually answer my question and I recently learned that Walmart is one of those stores that tracks everyone who comes in and their purchases to sell this data to brokers. I started talking to him and he helped me learn about Straight Talk and their options, and I decided to go for it! They have expired products on the shelves. Goes to show how hard those employees are really working if expired products aren't taken off the shelves. There's been multiple times this has happened now. I first noticed it when I had gotten a block of cheese and after getting home and using it, I realized it was almost a month past the expiration date. The last few times my partner has gotten the Starbucks coffees in the glass bottles they have been expired. He realized today that the one he was drinking was expired. Literally only go here for cards, the stocker will go out of his way to make up to 20 people that stand in the line wait up to five hours and wastes all of our time every week by stocking sports cards first when everyone in line is here for Pokemon and Magic cards. He also hates it when we watch him stock the cards, he gets nervous and drops them. He should stock what we want and then stock the sports. We'll all be happy and he won't have to deal with us watching him for any longer than he needs to. If you don't like the job get a different one. read more

I dig Walmart. Prices are reasonable and most of the employees at the Eureka division are really helpful. I am not saying there hasn't been trouble; but that was individuals in the minority and Walmart was more than willing to handle their shuffle-board bum. The Samsung A-29 mobile phone has really really been the best phone I have ever had. The price is very reasonable $200.00 brand new and any price card you want for the month to pay for time. Eureka, I have found it... The Walmart, that is. You see, dear reader, This Walmart has a big sign out front on the road, but it is fairly hidden away in the midst of a shopping mall. I can't say I've ever seen that before, and it took a little walking around to find the entrance. Once inside, it followed of the usual Walmart floorplan. Eureka is one of those interesting towns that is an eclectic mix of people just passing through on trips, people who have been on a "trip" since the late 60s, and people for whom a lifetime of bad decisions have landed them here, with their next steps unknown to them. We saw plenty of all three inside. Of course, the usual Walmartians with the own special panache were also well represented. I bought a few cheap/disposable warm clothing items for our camping trip, a couple of bottles of propane, and a few disposable serving item things for our Thanksgiving dinner in the forest... And things we forgot at home in the cabinets. Oh well, Walmart prices always accommodate forgetfulness. Not the best Walmart I've ever been in, and not the worst... But during a time when germs and cooties are on everyone's mind, I couldn't quite get to my car - - and a bottle of rubbing alcohol in my cupholder - - quite fast enough after leaving this place. read more

I was blatentnly discriminated at the customer service trying to buy and send a money order I am old and disabled and was using the stores electric cart., seeing how I don't walk well any more,with proper I'd valid licence was told I could not buy one without a rent receipt or utility bill,I am in a rest home and get neither of these things , was treated with rudeness and contempt and that the big guy said he was just doing his job.(So was Judas when he betrayed Jesus.) the girl there agreed and I left empty handed .this was on the 4th,of may. This is a decent size Walmart and offers groceries. I would park around the back of the building for the best entry access. We are staying the area a few nights and needed a few things. Seems clean and the staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Currently seems well stocked. We picked up a few groceries and then checked out the games. The toy and game section was smaller than we are used to at home and they didn't have what we were looking for... the new Marvel boardgame and a few others. Don't bother trying to purchase anything here, because it's all locked away securely with not an "associate" in sight. The call buttons either don't work, or are ignored. People have warned me about the Walmart and that drug addicts and homeless hang around the area. However, I've not had any negative experiences the times I've been there. It's at the right farthest end of Bayshore Mall and there's a side entrance through the mall or another main entrance if you drive down further through a long road and parking lot. They have cheap prices for food and they actually have some cute clothing! I've ordered some products online to do store pickup. I've really liked this option cause some products may not be in stock at the store but I can get it shipped to the store for free without having to worry about meeting a spending limit to get free shipping. They email you when the item is ready to be picked up & have a week to pick it up from 8-8PM. If it's not picked up within a week the item will be cancelled and payment refunded. The pickup is at the very far right back of the store, you show the barcode from the email so that they can scan it & have you sign for it. The guy who operates the pickup area is very nice. I have noticed that some of the clientele are a bit interesting looking but so far other customers have been polite to me & one even noticed I dropped my reusable shopping bag & came up to me to give it back to me. I did notice some homeless hanging out in the parking lot today but they weren't bothering anyone. Sometimes the store seems like it has low stock in some aisles and seems more bare. But I really like the Great Value Walmart brand food products cause they're cheaper than name brand. They even have their own version of Girl Scout cookies Tagalongs and Samoa's and the Tagalongs taste the same if not better than the originals! read more

At this point, I've been to probably over a dozen Wal Mart stores across five different states, and the Eureka one is unique, albeit not in a good way. Some of this isn't the store's fault- it, like every other business in town, big or small, has to bear the brunt of the City of Eureka's inability to deal with quality of life issues. The store is hampered by its poor location, being crammed into a small space and having an isolated parking lot where drug addicted thieves have a much easier time breaking into cars. The rest though, IS on the store. To be blunt, this store is neglected. Employees try their best, but it seems they are under-trained. Shelves seem perpetually under-stocked, from toys to shoes to even milk. Because of problems with shoplifting, certain things are held under lock and key, and it can be a real pain to get them. I am at a loss of how to start this review. My expectations of a Walmart are very low in general. The register folks here are nice enough. I won't say they go out of their way to help, but they answer simple questions. Again low expectations, so my expectations are met. The bulk of the store is stocked well with cloths, etc. There is a separate check out if you are purchasing anything in the cosmetics area, like Q-tips. So weird. Lots of the toy, grocery, and electronics areas are empty. Sometimes there is over-stock on a top shelf, but mostly empty. For being such a small store it doesn't make sense. The parking lot regularly has homeless of druggies looking to break into cars. You can see them walking around or riding around on bikes looking into vehicle windows or trying door handles. read more

I only give this review 2 stars because the employees that assisted me, Manager included. Helped me politely if anything. However the jewelry department had a blue haired bad-word for a worker on this particular day who took over 25 minutes to even appear in the department where I and 3 other individuals where patiently waiting for some semblance of attention. After I asked the near by self check out lady to help 3 separate times she appeared. She was very rude extremely un pleasant and about the most un professional thing id ever experienced in this sort of setting. After she took my apparent order she disappeared with all the haste an I don't care at all attitude could possibly provide and scurried off to do what the hell ever because almost 30 minutes later she woefully reappeared to insult my physically disabled best friend tell him we were not there that long then repeat taking my order and stormed off with the same I don't give a crap attitude that at this point I began to expect. It's a Walmart. You know what to find in a Walmart. This one has a small selection of groceries, but it's neither the SuperStore or Neighborhood Market type Walmart that has a deli or full line of perishables. For that, you might still look elsewhere for a supermarket. As a visitor just passing through town, was looking for some granola bars and water. The granola bars was not an issue, but surprisingly the water was. There were large multi-bottle packs, and a few of the alkaline and other foofoo water types, but what I was after was a simple gallon or two gallon jug of drinking water, and on the visit that day they were all out. There was a big empty shelf where they should have been. It's alright though, because the local supermarket filled the gap. I get the feeling this location doesn't get as much love as it should, having cemented position in town as a dominant Big Box store. If they have what you need, great. If not, there's a Target on the other end of town. There are some comments that it's difficult to find. Maybe if you try from inside the mall. I just drove all the way in back of the mall and went in the entrance there. Seemed OK, but I guess it's kinda out of the way. read more

Besides the criminally cheap products, the employees are great. After shopping today I came out to the parking lot only to realize I had a dead battery. Someone told me that sometimes security will have the tools to help so I thought I'd ask. I asked Andrew, who said they didn't have anything but that he had his own personal cables in his truck and that he'd ask his manager if he could help me. I think it's funny how all of these customers go into a Walmart, expecting to get first-class treatment, as if they are shopping Saks Fifth Avenue--and be in and out within a five minute time span. I worked at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, & writing from experience no matter where you shop, there will be a wait time. That's why Amazon exists people! This is a Mall-Wart. It's a condensed Walmart, and much like the local Dollar Trees, there will be a lot of product that is either stockpiled in go-backs or simply boxed because the space is SMALL. The City of Eureka down-voted a Walmart going in, so when it was a go--they build a small one. And the irony is, everyone on the hush goes there to shop and expects it to be a "Super Walmart". I'm glad it's small. Keeps the congestion down. The employees they DO have, are super friendly and personable. Certainly, there may be a wait time at the Service Desk, but it depends on the time you go. The impatience of Humboldtian's makes me laugh for an area this small. And besides, if you're gonna buy something for a dollar to return (why buy it in the first place?) and need to wire a million dollars to your Aunt Edna in Timbuktu, there's a CVS right up the road. Kidding aside, the store rocks if you need warm items like plush pajamas for you and the Mister, a video game to keep your Mister busy, and a great selection in cosmetics. Store is understaffed. They are not trained well. While I was there I saw a very angry lady, sale items came up normal price sale and a lot of items were double charged. A fight almost broke out over someone thinking people are trying to cut in line for customer service. I was in line for over an hour. There was only one person working the counter. There was no manager present to help solve situation. I've lived in Eureka for 4 months now and I'm still finding things about Wal-Mart here that I don't like. knowing where to start is the hard part. if you are coming from the Mall side, where you see the Wal-Mart sign, is very misleading because when you walk in you expect to see Wal-Mart, but its DMV and Ross. There is no sign directing the customers to the Entrance whether its outside or inside. To enter from the outside (main entrance) , there is no direction to get to that parking lot without driving clearly around the mall. Even the short cut is hard to find. Once in the store you have the illusion that it's big, reality it's not. Its small. Their clothes department and the Grocery department takes up half the store if not more. Clothes side, they aren't always stocked. they don't even have a Maternity section. I've seen women that are pregnant, my self included and it so hard to find clothes that fit. The plus sizes there aren't any stocked. It stinks that I have to travel to other Wal-Marts to get what I am looking for. Online doesn't help either. read more
