Employee owned and operated! It is always wonderful coming here way before or after rush hour. The selection of food is quite vast at this Winco. They have a small selection of vegan items, veggie meats and protein meats. So much so that their aisles, especially their miscellaneous aisle, tends to change within two weeks or so.

If Costco and Walmart had a baby with Kmart as the surrogate, Winco is the result. Now I only came here because I forgot to pack my food for a early morning hike and it was 2AM in Eureka, and this place was the only store that was open, and it was open 24/7! It's fairly large given how small Eureka is, and it is quite worn and old aesthetically, but it gets the job done. Found 4 sandwiches for $7, and add a little lettuce and I was good for a day's hike. It was sweet roll bread as well so honestly it was pretty good and I liked the wrap, it's about what you expect for a cheap wrap, especially if you need it for the next morning without waiting for restaurants to open. They had a good selection even super late at night at 2am, and have cheap stuff relative for this area. Main issue is this WinCo is REALLY ugly looking. It really is an abomination to see. Reminds me of a 80s Kmart with the ugly beige on the walls, tube lights in the air with the worst eyes straining light and exterior/logo looking like a Microsoft paint edit. But mainly it's in a pretty shady area at night as well, but Eureka just has a fair amount of shabby people tbf. The area with the WinCo reminds me of Isla Vista in Santa Barbara back in my college days. I wouldn't use this as my first option, but given its 24/7 Winco is always there. Price and 24/7 is good, but negatives like the ugly area and the shady people outside make it a 3 for me.

This is what was left after I cut fat off

Open 24hours, super cheap, huge selection, and has an awesome pick and mix section at the back.

I don't buy everything here.....I like a certain degree of quality and nutrition, especially for what I feed my son.

The produce section is my ultimate fave...so many fresh fruits and veggies! Apples, pears, lemons, pumpkins, grapes, plus a huge variety of tomatoes and mushrooms (king, oyster, wood ear, shiitake, etc.). And the salad greens? Fresh kale, lettuce, lemongrass, mint, basil, yummy! I also love their bulk section, tons of grains, rice, quinoa... you name it. And their alternative milks, so many options! Honestly, this place feels like a mashup of Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, but with that local, eco-friendly heart. The store is clean and well-maintained, staff are super friendly, and there's always fun little things to discover--local soaps, chocolates, jams, honey, wine, and seasonal displays. Plus, the sushi bar upfront is delicious. They also sell cute plants, candles, totes, which makes the store feel extra fun. Yes, it's a little pricier than other supermarkets, but for freshness, variety, quality, and that special eco-friendly, local vibe, it's totally worth it. This is my go-to store. Highly recommend!

It has a similar feel to Eureka Natural Foods on Broadway except the prices are higher on some items, but the hot deli and salad bar here are just as beautiful and stocked with nutritious selections. The GF thought the sushi bar upfront is a nice touch. The chefs were preparing fresh batches of Sushi on the spot while we were there. The produce section was impressive - loads of fresh fruits, veggies - Apples, pears, lemons, pumpkins, grapes, plus a huge variety of tomatoes and mushrooms (king, oyster, wood ear, shiitake, etc.). Wood Ear mushroom? In Eureka? I couldn't even find that in some Asian grocery stores in silicon valley.

I am not a fan of Walmart in general, but this is by far the worst Walmart I have ever visited. First, finding the entrance to the store was difficult. We parked in the front of the mall and walked several minutes to find the entrance inside of the mall only to discover they closed that entrance in January 2025 due to "safety reasons". This should have been a sign to cut our losses and go shopping elsewhere. We drove around to the other side of the mall to enter. Upon entering, it was clear that the staff has issues keeping up with stocking the shelves. Many items were locked likely due to shoplifting and other "safety issues" present at this store. The most disappointing part of our visit was the lack of produce. We wanted to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, but all we found was frozen and canned items. This is unacceptable for any grocery store. We will not be returning to the store and will warn our friends and family that may passing through the area to steer clear.
