ANGELA THE CASHIER at register 12 on 8/2/16 was rude and hope she gets fired for being racist, inefficient, and not knowing how to close her mouth. Note before reading: this is Walmart, the ghetto version of target. I don't expect 10 star service but if your going to charge target prices I expect you to at least have 2 registers and have employees around you can find and ask for help from. There shouldn't be 1 employee at the entrance, 2 employees standing at the exit door, and 1 at register. Management needs help from corporate Walmart. To start my review, First of all, don't disrespect me because I don't look white, believe it or not because I'm tan and have black hair doesn't mean I'm not American. Then proceed to try to force me into signing up for a Walmart credit card. When I said no she said you want to buy stamps theres a deal going around. I'm like do you get commission off selling stamps too? Asked 3 times why there is 1 checkout line for 20 people she replied she already called. I asked her when she made this apparent phone call because I never saw her do it in the time I was waiting. Every other walmarts I've been to always has 3-4 registers open at once to ensure client happiness. I'm guessing here they don't care. Then she proceeds to tell the person in front of me that I was rude for not being willing to wait 30 minutes to check it for 1 item. I understand being in a little mom and pop shop and waiting, but a giant corporate convenience store should be able to afford more than 1 person at checkout. I will do my best to make sure her rude personality gets fired because as a manager myself I understand how important customer service is and not disrespecting the customers in front of other customers because you don't know how to do your job. Today I went in to buy deodorant and was not allowed past the beauty section without purchasing the deodorant then when I walked out they checked my receipt and treated me like I was stealing. My total disappointment is in the size of this store. It is situated in a mall and being unfamiliar where to enter I had to park a second time. This is the smallest Walmart I have been in. No deli,bakery or hot food section. Little in the way of fresh fruits and vegetables. Was able to find a 12volt charger I needed. Staff a little off on their game not knowing where items were. Check the food expiration dates! I purchased expired baby formula- then fed it to my baby, not realizing for 3 days! My bad for not checking the dates on the can and assuming it would be good, however when I went to exchange- I checked the shelf and the entire Gerber Baby Formula shelf was expired. I brought it to management attention, and received insincere apology- will be double checking baby formula from now on. read more

Ordered a sofa that was supposed to be in on 11/7...on 11/10 I still haven't gotten the "required" email to me saying its in the store. Called the store and Walmart.com and they say I can't get a refund until the sofa arrives, I literally drive to the store and "return" the order [that I still don't know where it is] and then I am supposed to ask for a refund. What??? Customer service is less than ZERO for this to be the process! We needed the sofa bed last weekend when we had guests in town...needless to say, that didn't work. Very rude customer service. Just because I have dreadlocks and I walk in with my hood up because it's been raining for days and we live in a notorious wet climate area, doesn't give your half ass security guard and cart pusher a reason to walk up to me like he has a major problem with me. He got close to my face without acknowledging the fact I am a potential paying customer. The cashier guy with the glasses and bald head at the electronics really upset me that I just walked out with all 4 of my kids and not bought anything. I was behind a mother of two who was buying something and I was next online to purchase a DVD player and two movies for my KIDS! When two men came into the area grabbed a phone card and started to wait online as well BUT of course I was next.... once the lady was done with her purchase the cashier decided to walk away from the cash register and walk to go and help the two men that just came in the area.... ( FYI the guys grabbed a one of the card board papers to purchase the item. So they did not have the electronic in their hand) I was so upset about it I told my kid let's go leave the stuff there! They were so sad but I explained to them how it was not right that he did that and obviously we can take our money else where.... Staff is lacking, food is questionable, and the return line is painfully slow

We shop here several times a month and find good bargains. Michael is always on hand to assist and seems to be everywhere taking care of everything! He is very personable and eager to please customers. Every time we have been there he is seen around the store and now knows us by sight as regulars and always checks to see if we need anything from him. Everything is nice and clean and orderly. We don't shop for food there; but find a number of bargains on things we buy often. read more

I don't know why everyone in eureka was pissed that we got a walmart here! I guess everyone just loves paying ridiculously high prices elsewhere. Yes it is a small walmart, but hey, it's better than no walmart! Our experience with the staff has been favorable.... And we shop there weekly if not biweekly. My only gripe is that I wish they had a super walmart here instead, however I know they city wouldn't approve it initially. I hope that changes! Walmart employes more employees than any other store in eureka that I'm aware of so despite what many of the naysayers say, I think it's good for our local economy. The employees were friendly and willing to help, though many of them did seem new to the store and to retail. There is a little bit of everything, but its a smaller Walmart so selection is limited. Workers are downright sketchy. Most of the time they walk around talking to each other and don't help to much. The part of town is also the worst with tweekers out front talking to themselves. The items they have in Stock are far and few between. Many items I go there expecting to find are no where to be found. limited to say the least and the prices seem higher than other Walmarts. Today I went in because I had a movie rental to return so I figured I would grab a few things I needed for my garden project. Needed two cans of different colored spray paint, upon getting to the register the cashier actually said hello, which is not normal for the cashiers there, she actually engaged in a small conversation asking what the watering globes I was buying were, then said that's pretty bad that I work here and do not know half the stuff we sell here. Normally I do not even get a hello from the staff ringing my items... well... Here comes the best part, one of my cans of spray pain did not have the bar code on the can, this isn't a removable price tag either, the scanner code was never printed. She then asked my boyfriend to go all the way across the store to get a different one... she said she could not ring the first can twice because they are different colors... I understand that, however you do not tell the customer to go to the opposite side of the store to go get a new one! I then asked her if she could call back to the sporting goods dept and have someone tell her the numbers off the can or have the equivalent of a courtesy clerk run and grab one, she said she hasn't seen anyone that she could call... so we left without the paint.. that is horrible customer service and I won't be going there unless I absolutely have too... Plus the bums they let sit and mingle out front make you want to avoid the place anyways! read more

Worst Walmart I've been to and I've been to some very ghetto ones. Me and a sweet lil old lady stood outside the locked door during business hours with a cashier right next to the door. Have gone to this store several times. No one ever asks if you need assistance ever. They never have enough checkers but you would think during lunch time on a you would have more people available to check. I went on my lunch break(bad idea) There was one check stand open. There were 12 people in line. I was the 5th one back. I asked it there was another checker to help. The manager inn charge was standing next to the checker. The checker turned and looked at the manager and the manager said something to her and then walked away. The manager wouldn't even acknowledge what I had said. When it came to my turn the checker apologized profusely. I said, "She could at least act like she cared." The checker thought I was talking about her and I said that I talking about the manager. My husband has been in retail for 30 years and he said there is a rule. More that three people deep in the check stand open another one. Even if he had to open it himself to clear the line. I don't know what the issue is in this store. Seems like not scheduling breaks for the cashiers during the lunch time would be a good start. There always seems like there is a lot of people working there they just don't seem like they are managed very well. read more
