If you are looking for an amazing restaurant on Inishmor .I highly recommend visiting The Bay View Restaurant. The food was amazing. and The Staff are all so professional, kind and genuinely care about their guests. The chowder , Fish&Chips and desserts tasted delicious. I had such a great experience that I returned immediately Very clean restaurant and restrooms. This establishment rates five stars and more! It should be noted I am originally from Dublin Ireland and lived in the United States for over thirty years and served in the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great reason from all my life experiences and travels all over the world. I definitely will return in the near future! A must visit if you are looking for great food. You definitely won't be disappointed!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 After spending the day bicycling around the island, my sister and I stopped off at Bay View to grab lunch before going gift shopping. We ordered a pizza, chowder soup, and two sweet iced teas. The food was delicious, but the best part of the meal had to be the sweet iced teas. Holy guacamole. I kid you not, this had to be THE best sweet iced tea I've ever had. It was amazing. Service was wonderful, and also had an enjoyable time conversing with another patron. Thank you for helping create happy memories!

Very cute restaurant looking over a beautiful scenery. The service was a little slow (though we were in a group of 6), but the meal was well worth it. I ordered the chicken and gravy and it was absolutely delicious--highly recommend.

    Prawn ceviche was outstanding!

We took a seat outside, under the stairs which was completely covered. Our cheeseboard was enjoyed with the candlelight ambiance. I couldn't stop looking around and smiling. I will say while service was nice, it was slow and we actually didn't get exactly what we ordered. There was only one person in the whole restaurant working. I believe he was taking orders and preparing them. The menu is very selective and doesn't offer alot of options. It is my recommendation to stop by for a glass of wine and cheese plate before dinner at another location. This place is gorgeous.

The ambiance alone is worth the visit. The restaurant itself is below street level so eating outdoors in their outdoor seating area is like sitting in a romantic nook - candles galore, gorgeous twinkle lighting upon entry, a small fire place/woodstove(?), and tables & chairs that somehow felt so cozy. I can't say much for indoors because I only ventured in for the restrooms but it seems warm & cozy and on a colder night, a better place to dine. I will say however, based on the set up, unless I missed something, this location is not handicap accessible. Aside from the ambiance itself, the options were plentiful for boards and wine. Our host/server was so helpful and spoke to us about the daily cheese options and what kind of make up we'd like since only one of us eats meat. The board that was brought out was perfection. In addition to a delicious selection of cheeses, we ordered green olives and not just one order of garlic flatbread but two bc it was so tasty with the cheeses. I think I could eat the onion marmalade by the spoonful. The service, quality of food & wine, and ambiance made this restaurant a memorable night and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

The space itself is small and cozy, with just a handful of tables and a private room, which gives it that intimate, tucked‑away feel. I'd 100% go back. They offer two specialty cocktails and a wine list, and while the cocktail selection is limited, the wines are unique and fantastic -- definitely worth exploring. The food was outstanding across the board. The monkfish scampi isn't what you might picture, but it's fantastic -- super crispy and full of flavor. And you have to get the bread: tomato focaccia or brown bread, then topped with the fennel, thyme, and maple butter were all unforgettable. The bavette steak was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were truly out of this world. The sea trout was incredibly fresh; just a heads‑up that the gremolata is spread over the whole dish, so it ends up almost poached in olive oil -- worth noting for anyone sensitive to that, but the flavor itself was excellent. Definitely end the night with the affogato and the shortbread cookies (chef's kiss). Who doesn't like to dunk their dessert? Highly recommend, would absolutely come back.

It reminds me of a country home by the water. The service was friendly and young. I got the plum salad, fallow deer, and roasted peach/caramel ice cream. The salad was spectacularly tasteful and fresh. I felt like the deer was a little too salty for my taste, but presentation was good. I was disappointed by the dessert. My ice cream was partially melted and the peaches were cold. I would give the environment/ambiance 5/5, service 5/5 and food 3.5/5. Overall 4/5.

The historical aspect of this part of the castle is particularly interesting, and we appreciated the history lesson given to us by our dinner server. The decor is in a similar style to the rest of the castle and is beautiful, extravagant, and well kept. Service was friendly but very slow for both meals. They have gluten-free options making ordering, if you're celiac, quite easy. Food was beautifully presented, and everything was good, but nothing really blew us away as far as our experiences with gourmet fine dining goes. It was all done well and innovative, but flavors were unexciting. Plating was marvelous. Prices are high. Breakfast was nice and came with our room due to how we booked. There was a mix-up with my food, and by the time I got my plate, my husband had been done eating for some time. It was a good breakfast, tho. Overall, it was a nice dining room of a caliber you would expect in this type of hotel.
