I held the panchetta. The saffron is not really visible in the seafood pappardelle but it is also a heavy dish indeed Very creamy (that is definitely the theme!) with mussels, prawns, clams, samphire garlic with estate chilli and lemon cream) The service is prompt, courteous and informed. They are very well versed about the nuances of the dishes on the menu A short walk from the castle if you're staying there, just across the bridge It may help to hold the amount of cream to let the seafood stand on its own a bit in my humble non-expert opinion

This was my favorite restaurant because of the AMAZING seafood. The raw oysters were super fresh and it was fun getting to see the manager show us how to shuck oysters (he used to compete in oyster shucking contest and was ranked pretty high!). The steamed mussels and crab claws were also delicious. Ending the meal with cheesecake was great! The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you are visiting a friend's home for a nice meal. Highly recommend checking out this restaurant if you are in the area and are looking for amazing seafood!

People after us were directed to the bar for open seating. The seafood chowder was rich and filling. Mixed oyster plate came with three Gigas and three natives (5 years to grow) but we couldn't agree on which was the best. Moran's featured half a dozen different cold platters and we ordered the smoked salmon which consisted of plate sized slices topped with a salad and a scoop of crab. The Marie rose dressing was delicious and made this salad one of our favorites of this trip. Lastly their Irish soda bread was the best we've eaten and wished we could've gotten a loaf to take with us. The good service, great food and eclectic ambiance made for a nice Easter Sunday meal.

Lots of seating outdoors, but being it was super windy, it was impossible to eat outside. We were greeted immediately upon entrance. We did not have a reservation and unfortunately all tables with ocean views were occupied. We kinda begged our server for an ocean view table, and she made it happen! A previous reservation had cancelled. We ordered a few drinks and for dinner- beef with mushroom gravy and cod with mussels and potatoes. The cod was absolutely delicious!!! A generous portion on top of potatoes and mussels in a light coconut curry. The fish was not overcooked, but flaky and moist. The beef was juicy and had a lovely mushroom and onion gravy. Chef kisses to both entries!! Service was great with prompt service and friendliness. After dinner, we wandered outside to check out the ocean views, and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the horizon. This restaurant was definitely worth the stop!

But the staff gracious sat us at our reserved table and handed us a few hand towels to notionally dry ourselves. We ordered the hake with mussels, scallops and the trio of crème brûlée. We ordered the crab dip (very small portion, and it tasted like imitation crab meat), the steak was overcooked with little flavor; the side of veggies tasted like they cooked them in butter and oil (no hint of salt). The drink was horrible and I'm not one to send things back, but I'm not sure how a lemon drop martini ends up tasting like watered down lemonade. The oysters were okay and they make a good home made mignonette, but there was no hot sauce or horseradish provided. Maybe it's an Irish thing, but room temperature oysters are off-putting. The service was terrible, but our waitress was likely working the bar as well. She definitely forgot about us for a solid 20 minutes after she took our plates and verified that we didn't want anything else. I do not recommend this place. Pros: The ambiance was beautiful and it's quiet enough to have a conversation. I gave 1 star for the aesthetic.
