Amazing restaurant in the town of Doolin! One of my favorite dinners while in Ireland actually! My fiancé and I were staying at The Sleepy Leprechaun B&B and one of the owners Sarah recommended this place to us for dinner. We actually were celebrating our engagement the night we came here for dinner and I had an amazing burger with fries and my fiancé had a great fish and chips. But what blew us out of the water was the homemade dessert - banoffi pie, wow! I wish I would have taken a picture but it was so delicious that we were savoring every moment. The service was good and the owner came to check on us a few times and brought us the dessert. I definitely would recommend it to locals and travelers alike. It did seem though that one side of the restaurant was used to host locals and the other may have been for tourists, maybe I'm making that up but it didn't even matter, we loved loved loved it! And will be back in the future to maybe celebrate future celebrations :). I hope this place continues to do well!

I'm a little late with this review, but we had a nice meal here a few months ago. It's not exactly clear on the map where it is, but look for a sign on the main road that says "Good Food". Note: they're only open in the summer, so will now be closed until summer 2016. For starters, we had the duck spring rolls. I'm not a huge spring roll fan, but these were delicious. We all agreed this was one of our favourite dishes of the evening. For mains, we ordered the fish & chips (not bad) and the braised lamb shank. The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone, very flavourful and served with a big heap of mash. It's nothing creative or edgy... just unpretentious good food and generous portions. Surprisingly, it was completely dead when we stopped in for dinner, which did affect the atmosphere. We felt like we had to whisper as our voices echoed so loudly in the empty restaurant. That was just one small thing, though, and it wouldn't deter me from going back.

Family went here while staying in Doolin. The ambience was amazing and a nice break from pubs (if you need it). Our service and food were both wonderful. The salmon was fresh, cooked perfectly, and had an amazing herb blend on top. My mom got the house salad and the pesto was some of the best I've ever had! My stepdad had the seafood trio (special) and got to close to licking the plate clean as you can without actually licking the plate. Close to McDermotts and McGanns so a good pre music dinner. Would highly recommend!

This place is brilliant! The food was served fresh and hot, the service was fast and super friendly, and everything tasted delicious! Highly recommend the vol au vent, hubby recommends the salmon, and both of us put five stars on the cheesecake. Worth a visit

Great food, had the BBQ ribs and they were so tender they were falling off the bone. Short wait time and good service. Highly recommend!

A wonderfully picturesque bistro with spectacular views of the County Claire countryside along the Wild Atlantic Way. From the 100-year-old cottage that the restaurant is situated to the beautiful patio and deck around it, Stonecutters provides the ideal scenery if you're visiting the area when you want to enjoy some delicious cuisine. We started with a bottle of Sangiovese while I noshed on some homemade brown soda bread, which was divine with Irish butter. The seafood tagliatelle was delicious and creamy that I savored every bite between the mussels and prawns and squid. The banofee dessert was magical between the biscuit on the bottom topped with bananas and drizzled with caramel and topped with ice cream. Enjoying our meal amidst the glorious setting was equally as memorable, if not more. No pictures can do justice to just how breathtaking it is to enjoy a meal in such a beautiful setting. Stonecutters is an ideal choice to enjoy dinner that has endless amounts of scenery to enjoy a wonderful outdoor dining experience.

The bright yellow house, turned restaurant is easy to spot on the way to/from the Cliffs of Moher. You pull in to a small playground and a friendly dog roaming the grounds. This place is unusually kid-friendly, while not being child-centric, particularly given the size. By that, I mean, on entering the public toilet area, there is a nifty baby changing station - WITH supplies. Anyone who's had a child can relate this to a restroom having toilet paper! I found it to have very thoughtful touches like that, the special room & playground equipment - I also heard staff tell a patron that the kids get a toy to keep with their meal. I didn't view the kids menu, tho I heard a parent talking about some options with her child, including fish & every child's favorite fun food "spaghetti"! Adults were not forgotten- there were candles on the table and nicely plated meals and home-style options, with a lovely selection of wine and beet to choose from. The service was friendly and helpful- food was well seasoned and properly cooked: fingerling potatoes were crisp outside and tender inside. I wish we'd skipped attempting the cafe at the cliffs all together & just started here!!

The service was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The fish and chips? Hands down the BEST I've ever had -- perfectly crisp on the outside, flaky and tender inside. And the seafood chowder was beyond words. Rich, flavorful, and packed with seafood. Of course, the beer was fresh and delicious, just as it should be. An awesome, cozy spot that delivers on everything you hope for in a great Irish pub. We'll be back.

A true Irish Pub experience, bravo!…read more Our tour guide/ bus driver chose this location for us and gloated on how they have the best fish and chips in all Ireland here, as you can expect I was pretty eager to get on and try them. The fish and chips did not disappoint and the portion size was very generous. If I had to pick a flaw I suppose I would mention the size of the container of the tartar sauce that comes with the meal is very small, about three smears worth. Also, omg, look at the chips! Those are some unique shaped chips, at first I thought they were potato chips that were fried but no, they were French fries that looked like a potato chip. We stopped here after visiting the cliffs of Moher, the restaurant is located in Doolin County, which I believe has a cave you can visit if you want to get some more adventures in after a great meal at a terrific authentic Irish Pub. As always people SYOY!!!
