After traveling to Ireland and then renting a car to drive to Ennis, we were beyond exhausted. I'm pretty sure I struggled to even read yelp reviews in order to help us finally find some food to eat. So we just decided to walk into town where we stumbled upon this amazing place. The decor and warmth of the restaurant was top notch. The gentleman who greeted us and served us was so helpful. We were so jet lagged I'm sure he had a hard time understanding our mumbles. The menu was easy to read and he was able to pair beers and ciders to us perfectly. The food was amazing. The portions was so big. My wife and split the chicken curry, I had a side of chowder and she had a side salad. We still had food left over because there was so much. My son and the fish and chips and it was devoured. My youngest had the kids fried chicken and said it was the best chicken she's ever had. There wasn't a single complaint about this place. So if you stumble into Ennis lost, hungry, and needing a relaxing place to eat, try this place. read more

Our first proper meal in Ireland after a fantastic day of sight seeing and it fell flat. The ambience was above average, clean, solid service, and fair pricing. We didn't have high expectations, since our previous two in-country meals were bland and potato laden. However, our awesome day had us feeling hopeful, nonetheless. I ordered the Irish Steak, medium rare, with side salad. It came with onion rings and sweet potato fries. My wife ordered the Chicken Sate Skewers, which came with white rice. We stayed in Ennis for a night and wish we had stayed longer. What a charming little town! In any case, this place was delicious with an attentive and kind waiter. We had the three course prix fixe, which was kind of amazing - you could have an appetizer, a main course and a dessert OR an appetizer, a main course and a drink OR a main course, a drink and a dessert. The daily crumble was heavenly (my dessert choice) and my husband's sticky toffee pudding was also amazing. I had the Mediterranean pesto tagliatelle, which was also awesome. After our awful stay at The Inn at Dromoland, the wife and I headed to Ennis to stay at a hostel. We found Rowan Tree and it's conveniently located near the downtown hub of Ennis. After checking the local haunts for food we came across the Storehouse. They had a new Penne Pasta dish and a Supreme Chicken dish that the waitress suggested. They were both magnificent! The pasta was Mushroom and Artichoke and the Chicken came with creamed potatoes and chips. So much flavor I nearly licked the plate! For desert we had the brownie and tiramisu. 10/10 would eat here again! read more

I must admit, this new renovation they have done at the upstair restaurant at Knoxs is very good. I like the new decor, they did a brilliant job with the place. The food is equally amazing. I had the tri of seafood which had seabass, monkfish, and prawns which was simply divine. I also had a chance to taste the Coca-cola BBQ baby back ribs which were equally as tasty. Added bonus - they have a really good childrens menu and are great for families. read more

We were driving through Ennis around lunchtime and picked this place out from Yelp. My husband and I got the fish and chips and our 11 year old got the kids beef stew with mashed potatoes. Our waitress was friendly and we were allowed to pick our own seating which our son loved and had fun doing. The fish and chips were awesome! Our son didn't love the kids beef stew but he tends to be picky. He did eat all the meat out of it. The atmosphere was fun and laid back. read more

Upstairs above Knox pub that has Traditional music nightly. Storehouse restaurant also has a multi coarse meal which seems to be a thing with the Irish establishments and also a great deal. Had the Seafood Trio with the chorizo salsa and roasted fennel bulbs it was very very good, also had a side of their veggies the mashed carrots are super yummy. He seafood special was a smoked seafood linguini with smoked salmon and another fish. Pasta was al denti, so perfect creamy it was all very delicious. The service was impeccable from the bar tender downstairs to both our waiter and our waitress. Always asking if everything was fine. read more

Stopped here at the end of our Ireland vacation, we were desperate for some good food and a better variety in the menu. This place did not disappoint. Everything was prepared perfect, was tasty and defiantly not the typical Irish meal. Would recommend to anyone. The bar downstairs was also great with live music. Friendly efficient waitstaff, overall a great experience and made the end of our family trip enjoyable! read more

Ate here for the first time based on other Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! I had a Cesar salad and the BBQ chicken wings... for sure some of the best wings that I've ever had. They literally fell off the bone. The salad was served in an edible bowl and was excellent. Will definitely make this a regular visit whenever I visit Ennis. read more

Went to the storehouse this weekend after not being there for some time. I have to say it was very much mediocre. The service was nothing special. The waitress said there would be a small delay because they were so busy but there was no more than a handful of people in the restaurant so couldn't understand that one. I ordered a steak and had to wait another 5-7 mins for the sides to come after the whole table had gotten their food. When the food came it too was no more than mediocre. I ordered the steak medium rare and it came out almost well done. The potato skins starter was slightly tasteless also. Was not impressed at all and won't be going back there to give them my money. It's a pity ennis doesn't have an affordable and reliable steak restaurant that I can think of anyway. Texas steakout in Limerick is where I'll keep going. read more
