The Bar is one of a few on the Inis Mor islands. My wife and I stopped here after our hike to the ruins. It goes without saying that the Guinness was good, well poured, and fresh. The service was friendly and they allowed folks to bring their dogs into the bar which I thought was nice. We didn't have anything to eat so I cannot comment on their food. However, the menu seemed robust and there were plenty of options. There was a dining area and a partitioned off bar area. Both were clean and well serviced. The Bar is worth stopping in if you are ever visiting the island.

If you are looking for an amazing Pub and restaurant on Inishmor .I highly recommend visiting The Bar. The pints and food are amazing! I loved the live entertainment also. The Staff are all so professional, kind and genuinely care about their guests. The burgers , desserts and Irish Breakfast tasted delicious. I ended up going to The Bar at least four times upon my visit to Kilronan, inishmor . Very clean restaurant and restrooms. This establishment rates five stars and more! It should be noted I am originally from Dublin Ireland and lived in the United States for over thirty years and served in the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great bar from all my life experiences and travels all over the world. I definitely will return in the near future! A must visit if you are looking for great food and music. You definitely won't be disappointed!

There's a few bars on Inis Mor, but this was recommended by a someone who had visited before. On entry, there is a main bar area with a pool table, along with tvs for sports. There is also a 'Tap Room' to the side, again with a tv, where it's a bit cosier for a more chilled out pint. I had a pint of Guinness €4.20 and it was great. I don't think I've actually had a bad pint of the black stuff while I've been in Galway to be honest! It's within good walking distance to all the major BnB places. Overall a good experience!

Excellent Fish & Chips and the Lamb Roast

My husband and I stopped in during a particular cold, wet, and windy day during the beginning of the off season and a lot of places were closed. It was a lovely respite from the weather! We had been hiking around the island exploring and tried to stop in at another place but they were preparing for a wedding reception and couldn't help us. Not long after we arrived at The Bar, it rapidly filled up with wedding guests which lent a cheery air to the space. Despite being busy very quickly, the service was lovely! My husband got the lamb roast (he reports it was the best meal he had during our 3 week stay) and I got the fish & chips (which were best fish & chips I had during our stay... and I had a lot!). I definitely recommend stopping in!

We stopped here for lunch after departing the ferry to the island. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual and the tables outdoors and by the windows have a beautiful ocean view. I had the lamb stew and my husband had the fish and chips. Both were very good and the portions were generous. Service was pretty quick. I recommend making this part of your visit to Inis Mor.

Great for a drink while waiting on ferry. Able to grab a seat at the bar easily. Only bar in the port.

The place was busy a few hours before the ferry took off, but the crowd was friendly and table sharing was allowed.

Wow! Talk about an authentic fish 'n chips. This one almost nails it!…read more The restaurant is super cozy and right on the water. It was fun and quaint and hearing the Celtic music in the background made this lunch spot all the more special. Since I knew I was going to be doing a lot of walking that day, I decided against an alcoholic beverage and got a Ginger Ale. It was tiny, kid sized! Honestly, not as good as I would have liked. It was quite heavy on the ginger, which perhaps is a good thing because that would have aided best with nausea or stomach issues. I never had any of those while in Ireland, which is telling about the food there. The fish 'n chips are great, wait a minute, so is the rest of the seafood here! To start, I got a seafood chowder, and sorry Boston, sorry San Francisco, sorry Seattle, your chowders do not match up to this one. It is hearty, full of fish in each bite. The broth is milky delicious, and it is a helping of one that would make any fisherman feel great mid shift. As for the fish 'n chips, how could I forget? Great fry, great chip (because the chowder was so heavy I could not eat them all), and the fish (it was Hake), is super flaky. Be mindful though as the fish has the bone-in so you will have to pick them out or you can accidentally choke on one, or swallow one painfully. From the ferry to the plate, this is one restaurant you are not going to want to miss if you plan a trip to the Aran Islands.

A wonderfully picturesque bistro with spectacular views of the County Claire countryside along the Wild Atlantic Way. From the 100-year-old cottage that the restaurant is situated to the beautiful patio and deck around it, Stonecutters provides the ideal scenery if you're visiting the area when you want to enjoy some delicious cuisine. We started with a bottle of Sangiovese while I noshed on some homemade brown soda bread, which was divine with Irish butter. The seafood tagliatelle was delicious and creamy that I savored every bite between the mussels and prawns and squid. The banofee dessert was magical between the biscuit on the bottom topped with bananas and drizzled with caramel and topped with ice cream. Enjoying our meal amidst the glorious setting was equally as memorable, if not more. No pictures can do justice to just how breathtaking it is to enjoy a meal in such a beautiful setting. Stonecutters is an ideal choice to enjoy dinner that has endless amounts of scenery to enjoy a wonderful outdoor dining experience.

The bright yellow house, turned restaurant is easy to spot on the way to/from the Cliffs of Moher. You pull in to a small playground and a friendly dog roaming the grounds. This place is unusually kid-friendly, while not being child-centric, particularly given the size. By that, I mean, on entering the public toilet area, there is a nifty baby changing station - WITH supplies. Anyone who's had a child can relate this to a restroom having toilet paper! I found it to have very thoughtful touches like that, the special room & playground equipment - I also heard staff tell a patron that the kids get a toy to keep with their meal. I didn't view the kids menu, tho I heard a parent talking about some options with her child, including fish & every child's favorite fun food "spaghetti"! Adults were not forgotten- there were candles on the table and nicely plated meals and home-style options, with a lovely selection of wine and beet to choose from. The service was friendly and helpful- food was well seasoned and properly cooked: fingerling potatoes were crisp outside and tender inside. I wish we'd skipped attempting the cafe at the cliffs all together & just started here!!
