You'll be hungry after the climb to Dun Aengus! We stopped here and only had 15 minutes before our bus left. We ordered the tomato soup and the tuna sandwiches. The soup was delicious! It tasted like there was crab in it so vegetarians beware! The sandwiches were blah but filled us up for the day. I think they were 4 euro each because we paid $14 total for everything. All the food everyone else was eating looked amazing. Def worth a stop if you're visiting!

If you are looking for an amazing restaurant on Inishmor .I highly recommend visiting Teach Nan Phaidi. The food was amazing. and The Staff are all so professional, kind and genuinely care about their guests. The salmon , brown bread and salad tasted delicious. I had such a great experience and will return again in the near future. Very clean restaurant and restrooms. This establishment rates five stars and more! It should be noted I am originally from Dublin Ireland and lived in the United States for over thirty years and served in the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great reason from all my life experiences and travels all over the world. I definitely will return in the near future! A must visit if you are looking for great food. You definitely won't be disappointed!

Best food on the Island. Hands down. We came here off the recommendation of a work colleague and I'm so glad we did. It was fairly mobbed by the time we got here for a late lunch. But they were still serving and the queue moved fast. I had a wonderful goats cheese salad and my husband the lasagne. Yummy in my tummy. The place is charmingly decorated, with lots of tables and chairs. Don't be afraid to share your table or ask to share a table. It gets busy, but they are able to meet demand to keep everyone fed. Nice people too. Facilities are grand, clean too, which is always a welcome sign. Definitely recommended, especially as a pit stop in the middle of a long days cycling around the Island.

This is a small restaurant that is near the entrance to the Dun Aengus. We stopped here after walking up to Dun Aengus to grab some lunch before we continued on the rest of our sightseeing. We ordered the lasagna, Guinness beef stew, a latte, a slice of apple pie, and a slice of chocolate Guiness cake. What can I say - we were hungry! It was all delicious. They give you the dessert when you order and then bring the food out as it is ready. Since the apple pie was straight out of the oven (seriously, I saw them pull it out and bring it to the front to be served while we were in line to order), I had to eat that before my entree. It was delicious. The beef stew was also very good. It gets quite crowded around lunch time with all of the tour groups stopping in the area but it's worth the wait. 4.5 stars.

We decided to eat here before walking up Dun Aonghasa, which might be the trick because it got busy as we were finishing up with people coming in from other tours and back from their walk. The atmosphere is extremely cozy, dimmer lighting with colorful lights strung around, mismatched pillows, and local art on the walls. The woman at the front was friendly and quite patient with us. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, along with a toffee square. The sandwiches are solid. They're made with a whole grain(?) bread, tomatoes, mayo, and lettuce, on top of the main protein. The toffee square was my personal highlight, sweet and sticks to your teeth, but I like treats like that. read more

Went in early December it was decorated the fire was going. I had got stuck in the rain hiking and Catherine was kind enough to loan me a blanket and dry my clothes. very kind. The food is excellent. I had the lasagna. I was traveling solo. This shows you what a good person she is. The service was great and all the food ate her own recipes. Definitely recommend!!! read more

I think it's Teać Nan Phaidi, anyway it was a cappuccino and a flat white only for us as we had very good fish chowder just across the way from a seafood van. I think there's an all female staff and it's a busy place. They hadn't much time for chatting but were welcoming enough and delivered the coffees on time for me exiting their restroom. The one thing I noted was that they had a toilet facility and being gracious and accommodating it was clear that more folks were using the facilities than were buying from them. We needed the restroom and the decent thing was to give them some trade. It's a small island with the main island Inishmore inhabited by about 900 souls. The other two islands that constitute Aran have around 300 and 100 folks respectively. They earn from tourism. The main island is 8.7 miles long and 2.36 miles wide so the locals have to rub along too. It's 37 years from we were last on the main Aran Island. We've never been on the other two islands. It's a 35 minute sail from the port we departed from. I can say with confidence now that we'll never return. read more

Excellent shepherd's pie + lasagna on a cold, misty spring day. Would gladly go back if ever back on the island.
I do not know why there are not hundreds of reviews for this place. For starters, there are 900 puerile who live on the island full time, and there are only like 5 restaurants, so you'd think that all of them would've come here at least once! Anyway, I had this bookmarked and with a bit of time on my hands before catching my tour bus break to the ferry, I popped in for a piece of the Guinness cake. You should do the same! In fact, be smarter than me and get it beforehand and take it to the top of the fort and enjoy while admiring the views. The place was hopping with people, and everyone looked happy, so while I didn't try the food, if you've got more time them I did you should! One star off because I had to eat the cake with my hands (no utensils offered for take out). Overall, GO! read more

Visited Inishmore on a cloudy/rainy day and decided to take the bus tour rather than the bike tour. The bus drops you off right in front of this cute little restaurant that is close to the Dun Aonghasa entrance. The staff is super friendly and we all tried her Guinness beef stew that she recommends, even though she is vegan. That beef stew hit the spot! It is quite a bit of food, but we were so hungry that we ordered scones before the beef stew came out. I was so stuffed, but it was so good that I continued to eat it all. There is a sign on the door that says that accept credit cards, but the day we went, she said the machine has been down for a while, so it would be smart to have Euro handy, as you should anyways. read more

This place really rocks. We came down from the fort, cold, wet and windblown. Teac Nan Patoi was a wonderful respite from the weather. Cash only, order at the counter. They were out of the beef and Guinness stew when we got there, but others had it and it was delightful. I had a goat cheese salad. The goat cheese is made there on Inishmore. My husband had the scallop potatoes. They were good. My friend tried a pastry, as they have lots of home baked pastries and it was pretty amazing. It looked like a healthier homemade Reese's cup bar. Bathrooms were clean and functional. I'd eat here again! read more

Traditionally, I try to restrict my reviews to a focus on the bathroom facilities of any given establishment, but since Teac nan Patoi only has two reviews, I'm going to widen that focus here. First, the food was delicious. I had scalloped potatoes, and my wife had some sort of salad with fresh made bread, and though I don't eat salad as a matter of principle, I did try her bread, which was almost as delicious as my potatoes. The restaurant is across the road from Dun Aengus's museum-entrance point, and after we had made the brief walk up to the top to see the amazing view there, the warmth of the food, and of the staff that worked here, was perfect. Second, I did use the bathroom here, and found it to be perfectly adequate. I hadn't been sure what to expect, as I knew that the island's water supply came exclusively from aquifers of rain water, but the effects of that were minimal on the flushing process. Third, and probably most importantly, THIS PLACE HAS A THATCHED ROOF! How fantastic is that? Where was the last place *YOU* ate that had a freaking THATCHED ROOF? More places should. read more

YUM! Recommended by Michael Faherty (Michael Faherty Tours are amazing!) this place was super cute inside and had a nice little cottage feel. I ordered the Beef and Guinness stew and the Chocolate Guinness Cake. Both were absolutely amazing! A lot of food for the price and was a great stop as we toured the Aran Islands! read more

My daughter and I only had 10 mins before our tour bus was coming to pick us up so we rushed in this cafe and ordered the fastest meal. SOUP. I had vegetable soup and my daughter had the tomato soup. Mmmm the soup was just fantastic!! It also came with a slice of yummy earthy tasting bread. I wish we had time to taste other items on the menu. Highly recommend read more

This is another one of the places I visited in Ireland that served food that changed my life. I don't remember what I ordered for lunch but I did get a slice of Guinness chocolate cake and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Since then I've tried about ten different Guinness cake recipes trying to replicate this culinary perfection but nothing has come close. Do yourself a favor and get the cake. read more

The best restaurant we ate at during out week in Ireland. My vegan nieces weird food needs were warmly accommodated. The Guinness Stew was so good. Others in our group loved the Potato Gratin and everyone had seconds of the Guinness chocolate cake. Totally worth the long, exciting, boat ride. read more
