    Moroccan vegetarian stew - delicious!

Great cafe! Near where we we're staying in Doolin. We were all tired of pub fare so wanted something different and this place has great Yelp reviews so why not? Our table had: the goat cheese salad, garlic pizza bread, two of the pies (the Moo and the Mushroom veg one), tagliatelle pasta and the Moroccan vegetarian stew. Finished off with the GF brownie, dark chocolate cake and apple tart. We were a very satisfied group of customers and left happy! Especially on a cold rainy night, this place hits the spot! Looking for something other than a pub? Definitely don't miss Joe's!!

Joe's cafe has a fabulous location, directly beside the beach and promenade. Brightly colored on the interior with ample seating for parties if two, four, six or eight. Open for breakfast from 9:30 through lunch and tea. I am thrilled that there are REAL salads on the menu and REAL vegetarian options! Hooray! There's a handy kids menu as well as daily specials, a popular pie menu, and a great selection of coffees and herbal teas. My daughter enjoyed the desserts she tried, which were all big enough for two to share. This place is family friendly and casual. Very welcoming place to catch up with friends and family. Service is very fast! Ask for the wifi password if you need it.

Best brownie and ice cream I've ever had!!! I'll be sure to come back over the next days to try the other goodies!!! Kaia the server was kind and made us feel very welcome as newcomers to the town. I'd come back everyday if I could!! Ahhh and I just might!! Soooo good! Be sure to order "the most amazing brownie!"

    Super cute cafe interior!

Absolutely fantastic! This hidden gem along the coast is wonderful. The parking can be hard to find but don't let that stop you. The interior is bright and cute. They have a menu with soups and salads and sandwiches but they also do pizzas and pies. I had a pie and it was pretty great! And when their menu claims they have the best brownie in the world, it's actually true!!!!! Fantastic!!! This was a perfect stop for lunch before we headed to the cliffs of moher, only a 15 min drive away. Don't miss out on this place!! (Oh they have coffees also.)

Ard Bia at Nimmos - Tomato focaccia, brown bread with fennel/thyme/maple butter

The space itself is small and cozy, with just a handful of tables and a private room, which gives it that intimate, tucked‑away feel. I'd 100% go back. They offer two specialty cocktails and a wine list, and while the cocktail selection is limited, the wines are unique and fantastic -- definitely worth exploring. The food was outstanding across the board. The monkfish scampi isn't what you might picture, but it's fantastic -- super crispy and full of flavor. And you have to get the bread: tomato focaccia or brown bread, then topped with the fennel, thyme, and maple butter were all unforgettable. The bavette steak was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were truly out of this world. The sea trout was incredibly fresh; just a heads‑up that the gremolata is spread over the whole dish, so it ends up almost poached in olive oil -- worth noting for anyone sensitive to that, but the flavor itself was excellent. Definitely end the night with the affogato and the shortbread cookies (chef's kiss). Who doesn't like to dunk their dessert? Highly recommend, would absolutely come back.

It reminds me of a country home by the water. The service was friendly and young. I got the plum salad, fallow deer, and roasted peach/caramel ice cream. The salad was spectacularly tasteful and fresh. I felt like the deer was a little too salty for my taste, but presentation was good. I was disappointed by the dessert. My ice cream was partially melted and the peaches were cold. I would give the environment/ambiance 5/5, service 5/5 and food 3.5/5. Overall 4/5.

I loved the outdoor seating that allows you to take in the air, the narrow streetways, the buildings that have stood here for centuries. While we could only do outdoor seating at the time due to the COVID-19 lockdown measures, this turned out to be quite the good fortune. Where we sat was a nice spot to see the various people walking down the street, engage in conversation, all the while enjoying a cafe Americano and some tasty baked goods like brownies and shortbread with chocolate on top. If you know where to walk from the Eyre Square, it's a great find, moderately priced, and very tasty eats. Hopefully, the next time I can have some of the hot dishes they also offer when we return to Galway.

Both were excellent and very filling. The cafe is located just off the busy street and has some some outdoor seating. The window seating is great for people-watching. They have both books and newspapers as decorations/available for reading around the cafe. There's also two small restrooms (men and women, but they're individual rooms anyways). The staff were nice and the place was very comfortable. Highly recommend!
