Pancakes with syrup

This was my husband's and my first time visiting Ireland. We stayed in the town of Doolin and found this little place on our first day. This cafe was probably one of our favorite parts of the trip! The food was delicious, and the coffee was amazing. If you go, you have to get the pancakes with syrup and a cappuccino. This cafe is the first thing we mention to people when we talk about our trip!

Best veggie breakfast of my life.

This place is the reason I fell in love with brunch. They do a fantastic Veggie breakfast - one of the best I've ever had. It's got poached eggs, two kinds of home made toast, sweet grilled cherry tomato, roasted peppers, grilled halloumi and home made pesto, fried onions, fried potatoes and home-made baked beans. Phew! It's enormous and AMAZING. They also do lovely silver dollar pancakes with maple syrup, and some great looking other dishes. They do fabulous coffee & lovely freshly squeezed juices and morning cocktails. Their Berocca Sunrise will sort you right out ;) Not to be missed, seriously!!

Cozy friendly little cafe with good value and good quality food. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so you can take your pick. We stopped in quite late in the afternoon after returning from the Aran Islands. It was a freezing blustery day, so we were hungry and cold, but also feeling a little motion sick from the rough ferry ride so we weren't sure what we could actually stomach. They still had soup left (thank goodness) - a lovely homemade tomato basil soup that was warm and comforting without being heavy. A steaming bowl of the soup with some nice brown bread was exactly what we needed to revive us. They also have a selection of salads, sausage rolls and sandwiches. All their baked goodies looked delicious as well, so we got some brownies for the road... they were super moist and decadent! I have nothing bad to say about this adorable cafe!

Amazing array of flavored chips!

Our Paddywagon Tour bus pulled into town for a quick stop. There aren't a lot of food options in Doolin so we walked by each place, looked at their menu and kept walking until we stopped at the Doolin Café. Unfortunately right off the bad this establishment was not really kid friendly based off their menu (no place in town really was!) It was lunch time and I had to order my child a carrot cake muffin. She wasn't too please but if it wasn't that it was a cookie of a brownie! The sandwiches were all too sophisticated for a 6 year old (and all pre made) and large. I went with the spicy chicken wrap. I have to say it was not spicy at all and there could have been more meat in the sandwich! But I can say the wrap was super fresh and delicious! My mother had the turkey/cranberry sandwich. No complaints! As it was our first 24 hours in Ireland we were not accustomed to the amazing potato chip flavors. As I was standing in line to my left was the beautiful array of choices! We purchased the marshmallow flavored popcorn and chorizo tomato. I really liked the chorizo chips and so did my mother!

Don't bother. Seems it's closed for good. Google maps can't find it and when driving through the town it is nowhere to be found.

Cute little cafe in Doolin with friendly service. The quiche was delicious. Small but creative menu. Coffee was good. I would go here again.

Not a lot to look at, but what they do focus on is a great meal. The food was wonderful and the service was fantastic.

We found Brian Hackett hard at work in his jewelry studio, which I think has taken over the Crafts Gallery space. In any case, we were impressed by Brian's work but were not in the market for jewelry, so we moved along. In the other wing of the building, we were astounded to find the most AMAZING little bakery - to think we almost drove right by this place and didn't even know it existed. Fabiola, Brian's partner, has brought a little piece of France to this quiet corner of Ireland! Her delicate pastries and exquisite desserts reflect professional training and an artistic eye. They taste every bit as good as they look, too... I am still dreaming about the raspberry tart. Oh, la la. Fabiola herself is a welcoming host and will make you feel right at home as you enjoy her sun-bathed cafe, which overlooks the patio garden and fields beyond. A magical place, with cheerful touches of color and character in every inch of the decor...the perfect spot to sit and stay a while as you savor a mouth-watering pastry or scone and linger over a cup of dark, true coffee. Not to be missed if you are passing through Doolin. If the signs for the Doolin Crafts Gallery lead you astray, here is my best attempt at directions: take R479 northeast out of Doolin. About 1.0km out of town, you will see a large white church on a right-hand corner. Take a right on the lane just before it (L1036, I believe). The cafe and jewelry gallery will just a few hundred meters up on your right.
