Gino and the team at Fabulous Roofing are absolute pros!…read more Gino and his team replaced our roof in 2022, after a brutal winter, we reached out to Gino for a roof inspection to check for any leaks or storm damage. He sent his crew over right away to do a full assessment. We were thrilled to get a clean bill of health on our roof, but even more impressed by their responsiveness--and they did the whole inspection free of charge! If you're a homeowner in the NYC area looking for a trustworthy roofing contractor, Gino is the one to call. Whether it's a roof replacement or a quick roof repair, they are the best in the business!

He was very responsive and informative, keeping me updated with pictures throughout the process while I wasn't at home. After giving me an estimate, he even came back the next day to double-check the flat roof area--even though I was only asking for an estimate for the shingles, as I thought that was where the leak was--and to make sure there was no additional damage, even though he didn't know if I was going to go with him to repair my roof. That level of care really showed how thorough and reliable he is. His crew was equally impressive--professional, clean, and clearly experienced. They set up everything flawlessly and even took the extra step of cleaning up my neighbor's area when the work was done. What really stood out was how much Gino goes out of his way for his customers. He even drove all the way from Brooklyn to New Jersey just to pick up the colored shingles my mom wanted because they weren't available locally. On top of that, he made extra installations at no cost, despite already giving me a discounted price, and even provided a brand-new gutter free of charge out of his own pocket. That kind of honesty, dedication, and professionalism is rare to find. I will only recommend this roofing company to my family and friends. If you're looking for a roofing company, do yourself a favor--look no further. This is truly the best. Highly recommend!

The roof on one my buildings had reached the point where the frequency of repairs were becoming…read more.. exponentially more frequent. So, it was time -- full roof replacement. Since the building is both commercial and residiential, one of the biggest concerns was minimizing disruption to tenants, and of course keeping everything on budget and organized. From the start, Royal Renovators seemed to understand these concerns and put together a plan that worked around the building's daily operations. The existing roof was removed, damaged areas were addressed/fized, and a new roofing system was installed along with snazzy updated flashing and drainage improvements. Communication throughout the project was - chefs kiss - and we always knew what stage things were in. As expected, there were additional conditions unconvered that needed to be addressed. But, these guys were transparent about it, laid out the options like they did before, and it didnt turn into pressure or surprises. What stood out was how transparent they were when additional conditions were uncovered. Every decision was discussed beforehand and documented with photos. In the end, the new roof was completed on time, and is performing exactly as expected.

After Royal Renovators performed a quite thorough inspection, it became clear that the issue wasn't limited to one area. The project ultimately included roofing repairs, flashing replacement, waterproofing around the parapet walls, and some exterior restoration work where years of weather exposure had taken a toll. What impressed me most was how methodical and easy the whole process felt. Sean and his crew were punctual, respectful of the property, and kept the site remarkably organized considering the amount of work being done. There were no surprise upcharges or pushiness, just great work at a great price. The house has been through the ringer with the weather, but can happily report no signs of moisture. It's a relief knowing the work was done correctly instead of simply covering up symptoms.

(Roof repair/roof leak/fixing valley) I am sorry that I…read moreposted this review late. I promised Bill to post this on 12/8/2021(FYI, I am not getting any discount/money for posting a review). Bill and his crews did a great job of fixing the roof leak! It hasn't been leaking so far after the fix on 12/6/2021. Although they are not the cheapest among the vendors offering to fix the roof, they were very responsive, offered a great quality of work and a 10 years warranty! While all the other contractors I talked to needed at least 2 - 4 weeks before actually fixing it, Bill did the inspection himself and was able to schedule the work in about 3-4 days! His crews, Mario and another man who can't speak much English took just 1 day to install the new valley membrane and finish all the patching. And they cleaned up all the garbage promptly. There were only 2 things I was a little bit concerned about, which Bill promptly and patiently answered. (1) It's a bit cloudy/rainy on 12/6, so I was worried that might affect their work and was wondering if Bill wanted to reschedule. But Bill, based on his experience, assured me that they would be able to finish the work before the rain, and it shouldn't have any impact. (2) It's stated on the contract that the valley roofing material will be "new Firestone roofing with black mineral surface", but eventually what's installed is "Firestone SBS White". Bill explained that the white one would be a better fit because a silver coating is needed for the black one, and with Firestone SBS White, the silver coating is not needed. I am really glad and appreciate that Bill took the time to patiently and promptly address my concerns, and explained everything thoroughly to me! And he is very flexible with the payment methods as well! Overall, Bill and his teams did an awesome job! Thank you very much for the hard work! And I will post an update in 3 months - 1 year if anyone is interested!

They came out the same day, went up on the roof, and quickly identified a small hole that two other companies completely missed. Both of those companies quoted me around $2,500, saying I would need to remove fascia and gutters--without even inspecting the roof properly. Bill White Roofing was honest, straightforward, and saved me from unnecessary work and costs. It's so refreshing to deal with people who truly care about doing the right thing. I will absolutely be referring them to all of my neighbors and will continue to call them for any roofing needs in the future.

Cracks and pinholes began appearing across the surface, followed by larger areas that peeled away with light pressure. The failures were not limited to seams or penetrations. Adhesion testing showed that the coating had been applied over a poorly prepared and locally damp substrate. Moisture had spread through the fiberboard below, making another coating unreliable. The owner chose to remove the liquid membrane and the older roofing underneath it. Removal required more hand work than an ordinary sheet-membrane tear-off because the coating thickness varied considerably. Once the concrete deck was exposed, it was cleaned of residue and allowed to dry. Damaged areas around two abandoned pipe openings were repaired and filled. New tapered insulation corrected ponding along the center of the roof. A high-density cover board provided a consistent substrate for a two-ply modified-bitumen system. Reinforced base flashing was installed at the parapets and stair bulkhead without relying on the remaining coating. The occupied storefronts stayed open, with removal scheduled before their busiest hours. Coating fragments were vacuumed from the roof, setbacks, and sidewalk enclosure. The finished assembly passed drainage and adhesion inspections before the project closed.

Test openings found damp insulation beneath several older repair areas, indicating that the moisture had traveled farther than the visible stain suggested. The owner compared removing only the wet sections with replacing the complete roof. Because the existing modified-bitumen system was heavily patched and approaching the end of its service life, full replacement was selected. NY Roofing removed the old roof to the deck, deteriorated material around the hatch was replaced, and tapered insulation was added to improve movement toward the rear drain. A new two-ply modified-bitumen system was installed with fresh wall flashing and metal edges. Materials were lifted from the street during a restricted delivery window, while the neighboring roof and occupied rooms below received additional protection. The finished surface had a consistent slope instead of the shallow depressions that had formed around earlier patches. Following several rainstorms and one freeze-thaw cycle, the bedroom ceiling remained unchanged.
