Ordered lamb chops and got lamb saag. Worst way to get the order mixed up. Called up and got the money back the person was not at all apolegetic for messing uo the order. Food has no flavors and all they give for overprice menus is lot of white rice. Not authentic indian/pakistani place at all. Just the names on the menu. read more

Went to this restaurant on a Monday evening. Place looked nice and appeared to be clean. Were seated in a booth with privacy. Menu is Indian and Mediterranean cuisine. I ordered a buttery chicken and fettuccine dish #3 spice, and my partner ordered the Gyros platter. Both dishes were simply amazing and reasonably priced. The only negative comment was the Mac & Jack bwas flat and when we pointed it out to a server they were replaced with a fresh properly poured one. Service was polite and ok. The food was amazing, the service was a little slow. We ordered at of food, everything we ordered was wonderful and full of flavor. I was not a fan of my tamarind dinner drink though, but it was my first time ever drinking a tamarind drink, so perhaps it was just my taste and not the drink. We made an order for pickup this weekend and we were not disappointed. Is it the best ever? No, we've had better but it is was worth the 10 minute drive to have it again! Everything was delicious, even if under spiced, even after cooling down a bit BUT one of my samosas was WAY overdone and tasted like it had been refried which was disappointing. I wish I had taken pictures but we were so hungry we stuffed our faces as soon as we got home. They have at least earned a second shot, I think we'll do dine-in next time and see how the service is in-person. For now, I will chalk up the crispy samosa to the very large party they had leaving as we were picking up our order. read more

This place is hands down my favorite Indian restaurant. Everything we ordered was so delicious. The biriyani, curry and mixed plate were all so perfectly seasoned and the meats were soooo tender. I can't get over how tender and soft the meat was in all 3 dishes we ordered!! The green sauce and yogurt they gave us were are also super tasty. And I can't forget the veggies!!! Perfectly grilled. The man who we called and who gave us our to-go order was also extremely sweet and nice. I've eaten from here twice so far and he's smiled kindly both times and accommodated any needs I had. After my favorite Indian restaurant closed several years ago I hadn't ventured out much, fearing disappointment and a new wave of grief. Alas, it was time to try again! After some extensive online searching, I finally decided upon Bay Leaf Bar & Grill. I believe I made a reservation, although it wasn't needed on a Thursday evening around 7 for two. The medium sized space contained a handful of fellow diners, but it was pretty quiet overall. For food I split an order of the Plain Naan ($3.50). The bread was both tender and crispy, yumm. Being a plant-based eater when possible, I went with the Aloo Saag for my entree--potatoes cooked with creamed spinach, simmered onions, and a special blend of spices ($16). Now, this dish is not exactly pretty but it sure is flavorful! The dish comes with a side of white rice. I wish the rice had a little more going on, but what can you do. I had plenty of rice to take home since I wanted to enjoy the fresh naan. Unfortunately, I'm sensitive to both onions and garlic, and the Aloo Saag sauce must contain quite a bit because it knocked me out the next day. If that weren't the case I would definitely order the Aloo Saag again! P.S. 3 stars is a good amount of spice. If you want a mild meal go for 1 star. Next time around I might choose 2, although 3 stars was tolerable. Service was okay. Everyone was very nice, however, too many people stopped by (and often) asking the same questions. Better than being completely ignored though! Parking is tricky in "downtown" Bothell, so show up early to hunt down a spot, or simply get take-out, which I would recommend if you live nearby. read more

Our meal as the kids would say was very "mid." The service was very nice and had no issues with the staff. The food however was just OK. We got the Chili Chicken and Mixed Kebab platter. The chili chicken sauce was very tomato-y almost like a marinara. The Kebab platter seemed a bit small for $35. I would say there were 12 chunks of meat 8 chicken 4 ground lamb). The lamb was good but the chicken was a bit bland. Without the sauce not much was going on with them. Probably won't be back as it's not an area we frequent. Appetisers were really good. Fish pakoda was amaze. Mojitos were yum too and they just happened to have BIRA. Reminded me of Bangalore. Food quantity was pretty good. One flaw though was that "super spicy" wasn't any spicy. Biriyani was average though...nothing extra special. read more

Thought I'd give this place a shot, here's what I tried: Chicken Biryani- I liked that it was boneless chicken, good seasoning and tender. The rice could have been seasoned a little better all the way through (most of the seasoning was on the chicken) but I would order this again. Throwing in a lemon wedge would have made it tastier as well. Beef Tikka Kabab- Flavor was awesome but dried out and overcooked. If cooked less, I would definitely order this again. After writing my review and then scanning through others' reviews, I see a trend in dried out kababs. I received chutney which I assume was for the kababs, flavor was great but sweet which I didn't like. Raita- Really heavy/rich. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like they added mayonnaise. I'm used to raita being lighter and more refreshing with buttermilk and/or yogurt. Not sure how negative this review comes off but I did enjoy and would try them again, especially if they decided to try and of my requested changes. read more

Today I was on the lookout for a local restaurant that had good vegetarian offerings to balance out my meat cravings. This restaurant was the highest rated vegetarian place on Yelp in my area, so I decided to give it a chance and am very glad I did. I ordered a takeout of Saag Paneer, Butter Masala (Chicken), Tandoori Chicken, and plain Naan. Everything was provided as expected. The food was fresh, flavorful, and looked like it was carefully prepared. I made the order directly on the Yelp website, which enabled me to select the right heat (spice) level, and the food was made per my selections. The portions were generous and well packed. I'm very happy to have a great Indian restaurant in my area and will definitely come back in the future. Please give them a try. read more

The restaurant was clean and spacious, the service was pleasant, and prompt, and the food was very nice. A friend told me that this is the best restaurant in the PNW... after going today, I'm inclined to agree. The 1st thing I noticed was the friendliness of the entire staff. They were all genuine, thoughtful, attentive and sincerely kind. They obviously care about anyone that walks in to eat there. The restaurant is clean, spacious and very comfortable. Now, let me tell you about the food... when I say the food is amazing, I mean, it is amazing ... the garlic Naam bread, the salad and the entrée all were completely incredible. Miracles on plate... that's what comes out of that kitchen. Everything was made to perfection. The prices are reasonable but I will be a regular because of the food and the service.
