I'd been thinking about malasadas for weeks. When I saw a creme brûlée flavor on the weekly menu, there was no question about it: I was driving to Dublin. Order online or DM @bayhousecakery on IG if you want to mix and match. Isabella responded to my message within a couple hours and I paid in advance via Venmo. Each week features different flavors, so if you see one you like, don't hesitate. We ordered the creme brûlée, passionfruit, and cappuccino flavors. The dough was soft and thick, but didn't sit super heavy in our stomachs. The vanilla bean filling in the creme brûlée was a highlight. I just wish the sugar coating held up to that standard. Unfortunately, it tasted too burnt for me. But if I see vanilla bean on a future menu, I'm definitely jumping on it! I wish the malasadas were warm upon pickup, but not a major issue; they were still delicious. Highly recommend you do NOT eat this in your car unless it's directly over the box lol. Super sugary and it will get everywhere. Have a wet nap handy!

Delicious Ube filled and original sugar malasadas! YUM!

We discovered Bay House Cakery via Denica's Real Food Kitchen.... as you can pre-order a batch of malasadas for the next week and select one of Denica's three locations for pick up which is FANTASTIC! We've ordered from Bay House Cakery twice already and I honestly think I've gained 10 pounds. Their malasadas are THAT GOOD. I mean, who doesn't love warm, fluffy, fried dough rolled around in sugar?... or even better, filled with delicious flavors such as ube or guava?! I'll be ordering from Bay House Cakery on the regular. I'll need to stock up on the stretchy pants, ha :) You can easily place an order from Bay House Cakery by ordering online (either Bay House Cakery or Denica's websites). Don't wait as they sell out FAST.

Oh my. My sister in law just visited us from Castro Valley and she brought us a box of malasadas from Bay House Cakery. Yikes that was good. Devoured it before taking a photo but quickly got a pic of the remaining two. The one my husband and I split had some kind of creme inside, maybe banana? It was heavenly. Guess it's a good thing we don't live close otherwise this place would be dangerous! Super yum. If we're in Castro Valley, would definitely stop by to check this place out.

Ordered ube and strawberry cream. The malasadas weren't overly sweet or greasy, which I like. The donut part was a little bit dense unlike traditional malasadas but delicious nonetheless. Ube was pretty good but strawberry cream lacked fruitiness and tasted like plain custard. Note that you have to order a minimum of three malasadas per flavor. I wish they'd let us mix and match.

My husband loves a good brioche donut and Bay House Cakery recently popped up in my IG feed with all their delicious looking malasadas. I wanted to pick up some treats for him since he's had a busy work week. It was easy to order, but flavors sell out quickly. I chose the "Damn Good" 3 malasadas filled with fresh whipped cream. Pickup was easy at Denica's in Dublin. My husband was happy and enjoyed his treat. The light and fluffy malasada was filled with whipped cream and coated in sugar. Yum! We all hope to try more flavors.

Malasadas for a bridal shower! :)

I brought malasadas for a Hawaiian themed bridal shower and decided to go with Bay House Cakery and they were a hit! They were super delicious and yummy and everyone loved them. We got several different flavors - everything from ube to haupia to lillikoi to guava - all super rich in flavors! Definitely recommend getting them to get a hint of Hawaii in your life. :) Highly recommend!

This was my first time trying malasadas and they were amazing! Ordering online was easy and I got the flavors I wanted (they do sell out though). I picked them up at the Livermore Denica's which wasn't crowded at all on a Friday around closing. I got the raspberry passion, Maui pineapple jam, Dreamsicle, and black sesame creme. They were all so beautiful and delicious I almost didn't want to share. The fillings are sweet but complement the doughnut texture so well. Looking forward to trying more flavors!

From top left clockwise: Green onion savory brioche, Banana Cream Malasada, Kona coffee, guava, and passion fruit (with the seeds).

Mmm... Their Malasadas are so good! Fried soft pillowy goodness rolled in sugar. To top it off their flavored fillings are all tempting. We got passion fruit, guava, Kona coffee, banana cream. Someone asked for a savory brioche (green onion and maybe garlic?).

Simple packaging that hides the real star in the box !

I love to support local bakeries especially either owned and run by POC or women. I ordered the dole whip malasadas! When I first saw these on the Denicas website I knew I had to get some. I love the dole whips from Disneyland and this was a must try. I was not disappointed! Fresh and the cream custard filling that hit like a dole whip yet not overwhelming! I'm trying to find occasions now to order more of these. I will be ordering every flavor ! I highly recommend you try these fresh. I will also say the owner was so kind when I had an issue and accommodated me. Best customer services that matches her baked goods and dessert artistry!

Stumbled upon this shop that specializes in Malasadas. We have been craving these from Hawaii but have not been back due to the pandemic. I decided to order some to try and was so happy bc these they are so delicious! A special Shout out to Isabella for dropping off to my house due to a pick up order that got messed up. Also Isabella was so thoughtful to gift a box as a Mother's Day surprise last weekend. Her Hawaiian flavor are to die for. The coconut cream, cream brûlée and passion were delicious. The dough has a slight crisp n the inside is nice and chewy. Go support them! Will definitely be back for more!

This is probably the best in the Bay Area, just a bit pricey but i love it. Get your fix in, wont regret it.

    Guava and Passionfruit Malasadas!

It was such a treat getting some tropical malasadas in the East Bay! To order, direct message @BAYHOUSECAKERY on Instagram. I chose to pick up my malasadas and pay at Denica's. The biggest negative is that malasadas are best eaten right away, and these had to sit out until I picked them up. With that said, they were absolutely delicious! My husband and I liked the Passionfruit malasadas the best as they were a perfect combination of sweet and sour. My favorite fruit is probably guava, so I also very much enjoyed the malasadas with the creamy guava filling. The malasadas were also beautifully packaged in a box with twine. Malasadas are 3 for $12, and I would definitely order again.

Valentine's day special- chocolate chip. Good chocolate flavor and not too sweet.

I have never tried malasadas before, but if you want a filled doughnut then this is the way to go. Started following BHC on IG because of Denicas. Couldn't resist the temptation anymore and finally ordered this week. She has different flavors and they change weekly. She also does other things like Pavlovas , but haven't tried that yet. Luckily, she decided to do a hump day special. The malasadas are made in small batches, so there are cut-off days/times. Hump day specials: Got the creamsicle and black sesame. Creamsicle: nice floral scent, liked the flavor, but would have liked a more citrusy flavor. Black sesame: was super excited to try this flavor and didn't know what to expect, although she described it as a peanut flavor. Definitely has a nutty flavor and I liked that it wasn't too sweet. Valentine's special: filled with chocolate chip. Loved that addition of chocolate chips inside and wasn't too sweet. All in all, these malsadas were very fresh and lasted me several days. I looked forward to having one each day with a cup of tea. Each one is generously filled and quality is really good. Easy to order online and I like that they have several Denica's locations to pick up at. Great communication from the business and she even texted me one time to make sure I pick up my order before they close. Give this place a try and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Coconut and cinnamon. Looks yummy but coconut needed more coconut :(

The bakery doesn't have indoor seating, but there are a few tables right outside the front of the store, but it can be a little chilly sitting out front. We had one of the best tasting croissants we've had ever here. The spinach artichoke croissant had a rich cream that balanced with the baked cheese on top. It was huge and had amazing and unique flavors to it. We also tried the brownie, which had chocolate chips and every bite -- though the crust wasn't crispy at the top, it was still a rich brownie. The pistachio latte was very unique and she told us that the pistachios came from the Middle East and were freshly grounded. The latte was very smooth, though on the sweet side, and my partner said he would come back just for the latte. It is very clear that the owner puts a lot of thought, care, and love into her baked goods and drinks. Everything we had was very impressive and we can see why there was a steady stream of customers all morning. However, we did initially come for the cinnamon rolls, and even though it was an hour after the bakery opened, they were all out of cinnamon rolls because someone came and bought them all. That was a little bit disappointing but it does seem like a good bakery like this will sell out pretty quickly. We'll definitely be back!

We got the buttercream bread, sweet rice donut, chocolate cloud cake, milk cornet, and the strawberry milk bread. For drinks we got the red velvet hot cocoa and the caramel macchiato. The buttercream bread was my absolute favorite out of the bunch. The butter cream wasn't too sweet and the bread was sooo soft. The ratio of cream to bread was just right, so each bite of bread had a sweet balance of the fluffy cream. The sweet rice donut was okay. To be, it could have been more softer, but it was expected for it to go stale a little bit since it's been out lying for a while. Some things are just unavoidable. The chocolate cloud cake was really good, but there was so much cream. Unlike the buttercream bread, there was imbalance here, but I adored the giant strawberries sandwiched between the cream. The consistency of the actual cake was perfect though, because sometimes I know it can get really soggy from the cream. Next time I would give another cake a try instead. The milk cornet was great! Tried it out because it seemed really popular; there was only one left. This pastry like a croissant stuffed with milky cream. The cornet was perfectly crunchy and the milk cream wasn't too sweet. Next time, I want to give the blueberry version a try. The strawberry milk bread impressed me. It was super soft, and I like how there was a really small amount of cream. Like, I understood what the cream was trying to do there. One bite of just bread would be pretty dry, but a little bit of cream can help smooth things out but still keep the spotlight on the bread. The red velvet hot cocoa drink was what surprised me the most. I suppose this drink is Valentines day edition, so it's not always here. I was so surprised when I opened the lid and saw hot pink foam! Like, DANG! Tous les jours really went out of their way to give us a sip of Valentines day! This drink is on the sweeter end, though. A friend said that the caramel macchiato was just okay, nothing surprising or impressive about it. I guess it was a safe order. The baristas were really efficient with our drinks; both drinks took five minutes or less! I love the interior of this bakery. So cute yet so easygoing. Perfect ambiance for catching up with some girlfriends!

Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

Also had picked up a slice of their tiramisu which was okay. There was just something different to the taste/quality. St least there wasn't a piece of plastic in it like last time. Still decent from ones I've tried. I still prefer Paris baguette over tour de jous.

I originally came in for Dubai inspired chocolate pistachio cheesecake but was instead greeted so warmly by head pastry chef Nile! She is full of life and so passionate about her baked goods. I almost wanted to buy one of everything after hearing about each item. Desserts: *Blueberry Ube Cheesecake *Pistachio Ricotta Cake *Dubai Pistachio Chocolate Cake with Biscoff Cookie Butter *Red Velvet Cheesecake Cup Nile just baked the Dubai cake and mentioned she would have a slice for herself that night. It was sweet and decadent for sure. Definitely perfect for sharing! I loved the blueberry ube cheesecake and so did Mom! I was looking for my leftovers and they disappeared from the fridge. Creamy and slightly fruity with that thick buttery crust-- amazing! Pistachio Ricotta cake was light and moist. Perfect when you want something delicately sweetened for tea time. Red Velvet cheesecake cup was just ok for me due to the cheesecake frosting. I think I would've preferred a whole slice of cake instead. This bakery kiosk is a part of Turkish-Mediterranean restaurant Moussaka. Interior has the cutest cafe tables and chairs. Love the grey with baby pink + mint green color scheme. Step inside and go directly to the dessert display to place an order. They're also on DoorDash. Can't wait to see what Chef Nile comes up with next!
