There's a reason why I've never stopped going here for all of my cars & the same goes for my parents. This place has become my family's go-to mechanic as my grandma also goes here now after we recommended she take the over 30-year old car with over 200,000 miles on it here as she refused to give up on getting it fixed. My grandma's previous mechanic failed/refused to repair it but United Auto took on the beast of a job & got it done. The owner Teddy even towed her car from her house to their shop & back for free whenever a new issue occurred while she's at home or work rather than her taking it over herself & getting a ride as she's the only driver in her household; also giving her discounts throughout the process. They also replaced an entire engine in my Mom's car. The team at United Auto Repair do a wonderful job on all of my family's different types & ages of cars. They are genuinely good people that make me feel like I'm not being ripped off as their prices seem reasonable to me; a person who is sort of a car-fanatic. I feel like my cars are in good hands in their care & my family & I will continue to recommend them to our family & friends the same way I'm recommending them to the reader of this lengthy feedback.

They understandably assumed I wanted a full diagnosis because of the different issues described rather than just a quote for the valve body repair. And to be honest, that's what the process should be like. Because what if I am wrong about the prognosis, ya know? After dropping off my car, I later received a call letting me know they don't work on transmission-valve body replacements and was charged for the diagnostic, along with a recommendation to another shop. At the time, it felt like I paid for a referral, which didn't sit right with me. Recently, I came back to discuss this with the owner, Richard. We had a great conversation and agreed it was simply a misunderstanding during a very busy day. Keep in mind that Richard is also not the person who took my car in. I am sure if he was there when I first walked in, he would have recommended me elsewhere. But what stood out to me was Richard's professionalism and integrity. You have no idea how easily he could have said "no" to my visit today because at the end of the day I signed off on the paperwork prior to handing off the keys. But instead, he took the time to hear me out and make things right--not because of the money, but because he truly cares about the customer. That kind of passion and commitment is rare in the industry, and it's clear he's one of the only ones to have maintained it for however long he's been in the business, respectfully. That said, the shop itself is spacious and welcoming, not cramped like some places that make you feel rushed. Plus, the location is great--lots of nearby stores and even a gym if you want to kill time while waiting. If you're looking for a place that values honesty and customer care, this is it. Five stars to Richard, his establishment, and the team. And if you made it this far, it's only fair that you pay them a visit :)

That's fine, whatever mistakes happen. I take it back for them to fix their mistake and they call me the next day at 1:30pm to tell me it's ready. I was at work, but I left an hour early to be there before they close at 5pm. I pulled up at 4:40pm, gates are closed and there's a security. I ask him if they're closed and he opens the door to check with the workers (I can literally see them just sitting inside talking) -- they say they're closed. I ask "I can't just pick up my truck?" He asks me which truck and opens the door to the workers again and then back to me and says "nah, come back tomorrow". I wasn't mad about the wrong size fuel tank, but I didn't realize I had to call beforehand to ASK the employees to do their job until they actually close at 5pm. Look I get it. I work for a small business in town and we also close at 5, but we wouldn't turn away a customer that comes close to closing out of sheer laziness. They were there, I was there, it shouldn't have been an issue. Reply to owner: I appreciate the response but I answered and told the guy I'd be there before closing, which I was. I had also been at work and had to leave early to make it before 5pm. It was definitely not after 5pm when I arrived.

The radiator work itself appears fine, but when I got my vehicle back, the hood was clearly not put back together or adjusted correctly. Right away, I noticed the hood was extremely difficult to open. I pulled the latch, the hood unlocked, but it was very hard to lift. After trying to relatch it, I noticed one corner of the hood was sitting too low. After multiple attempts, I was finally able to get it open, but now the hood will not close properly at all. Even when pushed down fully, it will not latch correctly and keeps popping back up. This was not an issue before the radiator replacement. What makes this even more frustrating is how they handled it afterward. I reached out to explain the problem in detail, sent photos, and asked what the next steps would be to correct it. My messages were read, but I was completely ignored. No response, no acknowledgment, and no effort to take responsibility for an issue that started immediately after their repair. A shop should stand behind its work and at the very least respond when a customer brings back a serious concern involving hood alignment and latch safety. A hood that does not open and close properly is not a minor cosmetic issue. It is a safety issue. I would strongly caution future customers to thoroughly inspect their vehicle before leaving, especially if work is done around the radiator support, hood latch area, or front end components. Based on my experience, the lack of communication and refusal to address the problem is just as concerning as the repair issue itself

My sales representative, Elijah, was incredibly helpful and truly went above and beyond throughout the entire process. After we agreed on my trade-in and new vehicle purchase, I had a dinner to attend and didn't have time to complete the paperwork that evening. To make things easier, their team prepared all of the documents ahead of time and scheduled me to meet with finance the following day. When I arrived, everything was ready to go, and my car was fully detailed and waiting for me with a huge bow on it! I'm absolutely loving my new vehicle and really appreciated how smooth and accommodating the entire experience was. I would highly recommend Mercedes-Benz of Stockton if you're considering your next vehicle purchase!

Elderly customer misled and denied fair service at Mercedes dealership…read more I recently visited a Mercedes-Benz dealership to get help diagnosing an issue with my car key. I explained the problem and was told I needed a new key, which they offered to order for me. At no point was it made clear that the key would cost approximately $400. I only realized this after I had paid, and I immediately requested a refund -- but was told it was not possible because the key was "specific to my car." The key was eventually delivered while I was out of the country for several months. When I returned and tried it, I discovered the original issue remained unresolved. On top of that, my car battery had died, and AAA had to replace it. I returned to the dealership to ask for help again, and was told I should have gone to the "service department" instead of "parts." They refused to assist unless I paid an additional $289 fee to have the issue assessed. Each time I've tried to explain the situation, the dealership simply points to the paperwork I signed as their reason for denying a refund. However, I was not properly informed of the cost or what I was agreeing to at the time of purchase. As an older customer unfamiliar with dealership processes, I reasonably believed I was in the correct place and that staff would guide me appropriately. Instead, I was sold a $400 key that did not fix the issue and now face additional charges just to have the problem evaluated. I feel I have been misled, overcharged, and taken advantage of. I am requesting either a full refund for the key or that the dealership fix my key issue at no additional cost. I believe this resolution is fair, given the poor communication, unclear cost disclosure, and lack of support provided. UPDATE TO POST 2/27/26 I have already filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs - Bureau of Automotive Repair to help resolve this issue, as my elderly mother is on a fixed income and needs a reliable car to transport herself and her veteran husband to medical appointments. An investigator from that agency visited the dealership on our behalf and was told the dealership would not issue a refund, offer any discount, or make it right unless she paid an additional service fee. This is beyond upsetting. In further research, I've found that this dealership has multiple complaints and appears far more focused on its bottom line than on its customers. DO NOT GO HERE.
