Needed a new battery for my car, went to Costco and they were backed up 15 deep at the counter. Had heard good things online about the batteries at Batteries Plus, and they were a few minutes away so gave it a shot. Walked in, nobody there, the young lady gave me a choice of 3 batteries that would fit my Forester, went with the 4-year warranty (AGM). She was very good at doing the install. The guy was very rude, complained he already charged the wrong battery I had ordered after I explained I wasn't sure the one online was the right size. He was angry and blamed me for ordering the wrong one, then proceeded to tell me to fill and charge the correct battery myself. I decided not to purchase anything and left. I want to support local business. I ordered a somewhat specialty battery online to pickup in store. A day or so after I ordered the store manager Called and said it would need to be a few days until it was picked up and that it may not be the exact brand - x2/North Star vs odessey. No big deal but weird. When I arrived the battery was a 27m not a 27 f like I ordered. He apologized and said he would have to make some calls - no immediate response this really passed me off. Eventually I got a call saying the correct battery was ready. I walk in and it's not a odessey but an x2 - this is what I ordered and the guy was surprised as I was...???. A few days later I was getting ready to install and realized it wasn't a 27f but a 27. The terminals were on the wrong size. I went back livid. Luckily the manager wasn't there as I was ready to tear him apart. Long story short I got what I finally got the correct battery - not the x2 I ordered but a odyssey performance in 27f I should have left a single star but the 2 gentleman at the end really saved it. The worst service ever!!!! Josh wanted to charge me $21.99 for a garage door battery (on Amazon they're $5.99 for a pack of 10) he quickly took my garage door opener wout saying how much. Wish I could have gotten in the store. Opened at 10 on Sunday. I get there at 10:45am. The only employee there was outside putting a battery in a truck. Had the door to store locked. Another customer came by. Got the same message as me, "I'll be done in a few minutes". She left after 5 minutes. I waited another 15 minutes, 20 minutes total. He didn't acknowledge I was there again, went to the other side of the truck and kept working on it. Lost two customers, not sure how many more. Incompentent! I called first to confirm the car battery was available and they were able to preform the service. When I arrived they didn't know where the battery was and then couldn't test it and finally wouldn't install a new one because of location. We're talking 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I Left and went to the 1st. ave store. They acted professionally and installed the battery without any issues or whining. Never will I go to the Cortaro store for any battery needs. I came here because the previous location I had been to did not have the necessary hardware to fix the problem that they created. I was met with complete doubt that I knew what was wrong with my phone, as well as scrutiny for coming to this location at 5:30 pm even after the previous location called to make sure if I came at 5:30 pm that there would be enough time to fix my phone. After fixing my phone, I was very grateful but encountered another problem--my touchscreen was not responding to touch properly. Upon calling this location, the same person who was rude to me the night before sounded annoyed and/or inconvenienced that he would have to replace my screen again (surprise). Battery was going bad on vacation in San Diego. I called around and NOBODY could tell me they had a battery for our 2016 Scion iM. So we took a chance and drove it home to Tucson without shutting it off. We then called to find out when Eric would be in. Eric had helped us for years. A+++ service and he always knows what's best for us. So we just went over and this is actually what happened. Walked in the door, he was at our car in 30-seconds, he measured our battery, he gave us two options, he installed it, he asked us if we needed any other batteries for other devices, we paid, and we were gone in all of 10-minutes. Received a 10% discount for buying the battery on line and an additional $18 core refund after it was installed free of charge. I went in to get a new cell phone battery installed. The service was outstanding! The only reason I have to take one star off, is their inventory system told them the battery I needed did have NFC capability. But, when I took the phone to try the NFC, it wasn't working. I spoke to Eric, he was fantastic about researching the problem, trying to find a solution. Eventually, he reinstalled my original battery, refunded my money, and kept apologizing over and over. This is the store you need to go to for all your unique battery needs, including a car battery. I was looking for an older video camera battery and they were able to help me by looking at the device. I didn't have to know exactly the battery I needed before purchasing. I found their prices to be good and their customer service outstanding. I placed an appointment to replace my iPhone 6 cracked screen. The appt was easy to make and you received $10 off for scheduling online. The young man who helped me was friendly and helpful and that's why I at least have 2 stars. The replacement screen is awful and low quality. This is my first screen replacement and assumed they would put in a quality screen. The screen has a blueish tint, blurry and drains my battery. If they would have explained to me I was receiving a less quality screen, I would just went to the Apple Store. Cost me $108 plus tax for a screen with distorted images. Very dissatisfied. read more

5 stars for very friendly and helpful service. After our car battery suddenly died we went to the Batteries Plus at the Arizona Pavilions. The gentleman working there was very helpful in doing an alternator test and a load test to determine if the problem was in the battery or if it was in the alternator. He determined it was just with the battery. After selling us a new battery at a fair price he helped us install the new battery and took away the old one. read more

Don't expect this store to give any leeway on product warranties in the name of customer good will and retention. I tried to return a failed motorcycle battery that was 3 weeks past the 1 year full replacement warranty. The best they they would do was a meager discount off of the full price of a new unit.
