Ask the Community - Tucson Computer

I have a friend who is dealing with a hack on all of their devices. Would Tucson Computer be able to help with this?

Hello my name is Raul Tucson computer this is something we can take care of do you know when they want to bring it in?

I have an elderly client who is not computer savvy. Will you send a tech to her home to check her very old, very slow computer to see if she has a virus? What would be the charge? She lives in Sunflower off of Cortaro.

Hi Laurie, Good news! You are in our service area! For all house calls it is $150 for the first hour and $100 an hour after that. We would be happy to have one of our… Read more

That is often what separates a good business from one that truly stands out. A seven-day guarantee may work in theory, but for small business owners like myself, flexibility matters. I operate a transportation service, and my schedule doesn't always allow me to address technical issues within such a narrow window. A 30-day guarantee would reflect an understanding of real-world business pressures and remove unnecessary strain. Although the payment for Greg's services was refunded, that wasn't the outcome I was looking for. I wasn't seeking my money back -- I simply wanted the work completed properly and brought to a clear, final resolution. As it stands today, the matter still feels unfinished. One part that was honestly disconcerting for me is that I've had a very good relationship with your company for nearly 20 years -- essentially since you first started. I remember when you were working out of your living room, and I've genuinely been glad to see how the business has grown over time. What caught me off guard was that the young lady I spoke with had no awareness of who I was or the history I've had with Geeks2You. After hanging up, I felt less like a long-standing client and more like just another name in the system. Loyalty and history matter -- especially in small business relationships. I've valued supporting your company over the years, and I hope that kind of long-term connection still means something on your end as well.

When Verizon refused to fix/replace something that was clearly a manufacturer defect (instead insisting I buy a new one for $200), I brought it to Hi-Tech computers to see if they could fix it. They determined they couldn't, but the guys there firmly felt I would be getting ripped off if the manufacturer or Verizon wouldn't replace it, due to the defect. The technician took it upon himself to call Verizon on my behalf, and then after being shuffled off to the manufacturer, in NYC, he stayed on the phone and helped convince the manufacturer to repair the part at no charge to me. The technician then helped me package up my adapter and arrange a UPS shipment to NYC to get things fixed ASAP. Since I was only visiting Tucson, I wouldn't be in town when the part was returned, so Hi-Tech offered to call me when the part returned and ship it to me at my home in Seattle. Even though the part is not yet back (not for any reason due to Hi-Tech), and this whole process is a bit tedious, I am grateful for the guys at Hi-Tech for taking so much time to help me out. They're not even making any money on this! Just helping someone out. If that isn't a sign of a business worthy of our patronage, I don't know what is. I thought I would give them a shout out and highly recommend them to anyone in Tucson who is looking for great customer service.

Riley, the technician, called on the day of my appointment to let me know what time he would arrive, and arrived promptly and knew what he was doing. He had the computer up and running quickly. Then he proceeded to run checks on the hard drive and the security system, did some updates that needed doing and showed me where to find them (I thought I was all up to date). He recommended replacing some parts (which I would have to buy and then pay for them to come back and install). This all took about 1.5 hrs, which I felt was kind of long to run the checks, but I am happy with the work and feel confident knowing that everything is okay. I liked having the repair done in home so that you can talk to the repair person as they are working, and get answers to any questions as you go along. And you also know what they are doing; not so if you drop your computer off at a shop for a week. Generally, I am happy with the work done and would use them again.

I had an in home appointment that they cancelled so I was directed to this phone diagnostic. So I had to set aside time on 2 different days. The home appointment would have been more efficient and less expensive.
