I purchased a battery from Batteries Plus located on Eisenhower in Springfield. After installing the battery in my truck, I began to notice irregular performance. Despite using the battery regularly, it failed much sooner than expected. When the battery stopped working, I returned to the store to have it checked. The employee who assisted me, named Omar, tested the battery and found that it was only producing 6 volts. The battery was still under warranty period, but the store refused to honor it. Omar explained that according to their policy, the battery must still read 12 volts in order to qualify for a replacement. This reasoning did not make sense to me, because a failing battery by definition will not hold a full charge. It felt as though I had been sold a defective battery from the beginning, and the store chose to avoid responsibility by using a technicality. The employee's attitude was unfriendly, and the experience left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I do not recommend this store to anyone. In my opinion, the staff does not honor their warranties and may look for loopholes to avoid helping customers. My boyfriend has had a complete NIGHTMARE of an experience at this location yesterday. I had to drive to him, and jump start his car, after Batteries Plus not only left him stranded at their store, but threatened to have him arrested by the police (what?!!) when Amed (Batteries Plus manager) said that he was calling corperate, because they would not honor the warranty for a $400 battery, that was already approved for replacement. Apparently, Mo heard that another Batteries Plus manger had approved the warranty replacement, and he refused to allow it - insisting that my boyfriend pay the BMW dealership to test the alternator and then bring it back. The car was dead, and would not start. How was he supposed to do that? Apparently calling the customer support service number will result in the local franchise calling the cops on you to have you arrested for trespassing, because this location will not allow themselves to be held accountable. They advertised cell phone repair but they chose not to work on my Samsung Galaxy phone, as it was foreign to them. They did kindly recommend another local service shop not near the BV Mall whom I used and was satisfied with. read more

My "go to" place to get replacement batteries, keys and car fobs programmed at a much cheaper price than a dealer. It was a great day when they received the machinery to cut and program car keys/fobs. The closest location was the store at Woodbridge and the team at the store are professional and have the "can do" attitude. I drove around trying to find this place. Finally called them from my car telling them where I was and could they help me. All I got was a recording and I could leave a message and they would call me back. I drove around for 20 more minutes looking for their store and NOBODY returned my call. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE--find another one -- according to their manager "there are batteries+bulbs everywhere", and I would recommend you not choose this one. I went in to have my phone fixed - there was a line out the door and they were not trying to even talk to folks and explain their situation or request folks to return. They were replacing batteries on a guys watch, and after the store insisted it was fixed, he had to go back and help them do it because they somehow didn't realize there were multiple batteries and they had only replaced one of them. Additionally there was a man there with his daughter and it took them 40 min to get to him just to check him out for a battery. I went to have my phone screen replaced. I got home and the button was loose, but I was getting on a plane to travel for work the next day and couldn't do much about it. The next morning i tried to put a tempered glass screen on it and the touch screen wouldn't work with it--I quickly found that when there was moisture in the air or sweat on my hands it also wasn't going to work. I knew i had to go back in but I wasn't going to have a day off for weeks so i figured I'd suck it up until I could get back to the store rather than pay someone somewhere else another $100 repair. By the time i was back in town a crack had formed on the top of the screen. I was told by the manager that they would not honor the warranty because of the crack - the crack that's there because the phone screen was faulty and i couldn't use a tempered glass cover to protect it. He explained that he's the one that could waive this, but that he didn't believe my story and "I could have called or gone to any batteries + bulbs earlier before it cracked again if i was telling the truth." I work 120 hours a week--the phone has been infuriating in it's screen malfunctions since I got it fixed but i specifically waited because of this warranty. I didn't know I could go to any store, and I wasn't in the DC area. My phone cracked the first time because i was tackled by an excited dog in a vet parking lot who broke his leash. I usually keep tempered glass on my screen because i have two big dogs and things fall and break. Being treated like a liar and with the lack of human understanding by the management and staff of this store was appalling. That's on top of the fact that they do terrible work. read more

They are very Helpful. I had some keys cut, as well as some batteries recycled. It was really hot when I was there, and they gave me a bottle of water while I waited. Went to this Batteries Plus Bulbs location looking for specialty batteries for a stairlift system. We spent quite some time making sure we got the right voltage with the correct connector size. I needed to purchase a car battery, and I came in to this store to be greeted by a two store associates. They said they offer free battery installation, however my car needed specific tools, so I had to go to take it to a mechanic. When I got back to the car, my engine wouldn't start. The store owner drove his car all the way around and helped me push my car out of the parking space to give me a jump start. They are very nice, helpful, and honest people. I went into the store a few days ago to get my iPhone 6 screen replaced. I was very appreciative of how polite the employees were to me. they got my phone done in about an hour while I went to go grab some lunch and when I got back the screen was as good as new. I've previous phones repaired by other places but this is one the place where my phone was repaired in a timely fashion and the employees where very nice. If i ever have another needs regarding my phone or batteries in general this is definitely the first place I am going to visit. read more
