Update from 11/28/25 store visit: Sean was absolutely fantastic! He helped me and my parents upgrade to iPhone 17 Pros, and also assisted me with getting a new iPad. Throughout the entire process, Sean was incredibly patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. He took the time to pair our new iPhones with our other devices (including our Apple Watches) and made sure every setting was correct. What impressed me most was how meticulous he was in transferring all of our data and ensuring nothing was missed. Switching devices can be stressful, but Sean made it seamless and easy. If you need someone who truly cares about getting things right, ask for Sean--he's awesome! read more

I had a disappointing visit at this location, as I should have expected. I know I should not stereotype like this, but I find that there is usually a lack of what feels like genuine customer service at the majority of Verizon Stores I have been to. Today was no different. What made today even worse was that I was guided to get help from a store location by a representative on the website. To walk into a location and not even get a single sales person ( and there were 4-5 working that I could see) to say hello, or acknowledge I was in the building. The vibe I always get from the store locations like this, is that we need them, they don't need us, and because of that they can be as arrogant and un helpful as they chose. It is sad how our culture has allowed something as simple as a phone, invented to be a communication device, become such a divide that dictates classism and power. read more

I visited this location twice to pick up a router and was met with indifference and repeated condescending attitudes. Hafsa Rahim, and who I believe was the manager, shouldn't be employed with Verizon or any company/organization dealing with customer service. I had to contact customer support due to an issue with my order number and Hafsa was hostile on three separate occasions when the Verizon customer support specialist asked her to work with me due to an issue with my profile on the backend with Verizon. The manager never made eye contact with me or offered assistance of any kind as well. The two of you are on the clock, check your personality at the door. You work at a Verizon store, not the federal reserve. I tried to figure out a solution by myself on the phone for well over an hour and not one employee acknowledged my existence during the process. Incredibly rude, entitled, and lazy staff. The whole experience has led me to cancel my FIOS service despite the customer support I spoke to on the phone telling me explicitly that the problem was with Verizon and not myself. read more

Trying to get assistant for Verizon Fios is a pain in the butt. I called and got several different scenarios about why my account was being overcharge and not updating. I was offered a discount and had even more trouble trying to get them to apply it. Online I got an agent who had no idea of what they were doing and wanted me to call in. I had three different Verizon customer agent give me all different information. They even had the nerve to offer mobile service. Hell no I don't want your mobile service! Its hard enough to get someone on the phone for assistance and when you do it seems no one has the same story or set of information. read more

She was extremely patient, walked me through all the steps, and set up my new devices very well for me. I can give this place a 5 just because the guy who assisted us was very knowledgeable with the equipment and also about the issue my sister and husband were having with their account. He walked them through what to do to solve their issue and then engaged in conversation around the new iPhone and other gadgets for sale in the store. Usually I am not one to leave reviews, but due to my atrocious experience here I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this store. Upon entering it was suggested that the best deal for a new phone involved a buy one get one deal which "traditionally" I would not be eligible for. The employees here work the system to get a "good deal", which may not effect your bill but will affect your sanity. In the process of this supposed "great deal" my phone number of 11 years was deactivated for 2 weeks, the other phone in the deal was lost by fedex, Verizon corporate had to get involved to bring a resolution, and now I am stuck with a phone payment plan that I was assured I would not have. My phone trade in was devalued and I cannot get it back. This is a very slimy and dishonest sales store. Steer clear of "Verizon authorized" and save yourself the hassle. Go to an official Verizon to avoid the nightmare I am still dealing with. read more

Good selection of phones/accessories and I've always received excellent customer service when buying phones and accessories here. Today when I went in the gentleman greeted me as soon as I came in, found what I needed (a new screen protector), and then meticulously installed it on the phone. He was gracious enough to clean the otter box, phone, and screen and then used this device to make sure the protector went on perfectly. Very glad he did this because it would have been a dumpster fire if I would have tried to install it. To top it off I got a call from client at end of installation and had to take it mid transaction, which was rude of me, and the store employee was again nice about it. Buyer beware. This is not a full fledged tier 1 Verizon store. The store sells products that they don't back. Case in point - a screen protector. The brand new screen protector developed a crack within two weeks (and no, it wasn't dropped). Defective screen. Verizon retailer would not replace it. Not their problem. Screen vendor warrantee can be activated and used IF you send the vendor more $$. The first product didn't last two weeks -- and I should buy another one? Sounds like a great scam to me. read more

I love my Verizon store at this location and have used them for many years once I found them. With the exception of one female employee who was terminated some time ago, I have never had more staff uniformly knowledgeable and capable of helping me replace, troubleshoot, getting auto back ups or just asking about "how to" on my phone. My latest saga was driving off with my phone on the roof of my car and losing it on the beltway when I heard a thud and my phone disconnected from the car. FRANCESCA got me set up with Asurion (always get insurance on your phone). She was patient waiting in the queue & got the job done. When told because of COVID, everything was delayed and I wouldn't get my phone for 3-5 BUSINESS days (this was a Thursday evening!), she sprang into action and asked that my record be noted that I am a physician and just couldn't wait that length of time (OB/GYN). Nothing was promised. The next AM, the marquis in my condo indicated I had a package-My NEW phone! When I rushed in to have my phone set up, JIM immediately inquired if he could help. He is masterful not just because he is the manager, but he has a great spirit and wants to help maximize restoring one's phone to even a better condition than the last one. He completed the process in well under an hour, restored and checked to make sure all was well, made sure auto back up was on for all data and apps and taught me what I needed to know as he was working. Shout out also to Asurion who under promised and over delivered! Don't buy a device without Asurion insurance. Highly recommend this Verizon Retailer. Be patient. I came in because my 6 month old phone abruptly stopped getting service. No recent drops, spent its life in its case, etc. Did all the recommended trouble shooting online, and wanted to try a new SIM card to see if that was the problem. While the person I spoke to was very nice, he really just wanted to sell me a new phone. He was just doing his job, but kept diverting the conversation to increase the sale instead of addressing my specific problem. He briefly suggested it was the sensors in my phone and kept trying to sell me a new one. I asked a 4th time to insert a new SIM so we could weed that possibility out and it started working immediately. Again he was very nice and it was a pleasant enough conversation. He was probably doing exactly what he was trained to do. I've been to plenty of Verizon's that seem to address my problem first and then try to sell me something, which is totally fine. I did not think this store was trying to do that (or they were trying to do it by me spending substantially more money than necessary). read more

Went to this Jefferson Highway store, because something was draining my charged battery. A rep. named Leonard, said I had the phone 4 yrs, and it has a virus. I told him I brought it 2 yrs ago. Maybe he misunderstood what he was seeing. He ordered a upgrade. I went to another Verizon store, because I had doubts, about needing a phone so soon. The store I went to, in Md. the rep( I forgot his name) checked their records, and showed I brought it 2 yrs ago, has I said,and there is NO VIRUS, on it! I appreciate the HONESTY and INTERITY, of the Md rep. I thank God, there are honest people still around. I will not pickup the new phone.I don't believe in wasting money, nor corporate greed. I dreaded going to a Verizon store (or Apple store) to upgrade my iPhone 7 which had problems holding a charge and keep losing cellular capability. It was long overdue but I thought the experience would be like getting a tooth pulled. I got lucky. Mike was kind and professional. He explained everything clearly, including current promotions if I wanted to add additional products but didn't push anything. The experience was painless. Mike even called a few days later, like he said he would, to make sure my new phone was working properly and that I was satisfied with it. I have dealt with Verizon locations at the Crystal City Mall and at Union Station. And this location makes those guys look like a bunch of turd vendor dirt merchants. I came in after physically destroying my old LG phone after it had frustrated me with a series of cut off calls and battery deaths. I left with a new iPhone and a new example of outstanding customer service. The salesperson I worked with, Justin, was very helpful in assisting me with importing my old contacts to my new phone and organizing all the necessary paperwork. Everyone in the store seems to enjoy their jobs and working with one another. I was able to talk baseball with a few of the reps., as business was a little slow when I came in. In most Verizon stores, it seems as if everyone would much rather be someplace else! I would definitely come back to this location for future dealings with Verizon. I am still smiling from my experience at this location...no...like seriously. I wish all of my visits to actual Verizon Wireless (or any carrier's) stores in the past were half as pleasant as it was at this "authorized dealer." The atmosphere is cheerful...but definitely not lacking in great professional, customer service. I hadn't been to a Verizon store since 2007 (when I terminated my contract with them) and was left with a bad taste in my mouth since then. Maybe I scored by walking in on "Customer Appreciation Day" because I was greeted with balloons...lol... and, most importantly, eager assistants. But I have a feeling the atmosphere there is always this cool. So I came in for a Mi-Fi (Verizon's Wi-Fi Hotspot device) but left with it AND a Motorola Razor Maxx...and I have NO regrets (no buyer's remorse today). My rep (Ben Brown) worked out an AMAZE-BALLS deal for me and took out all (and I mean ALL) of the hassle in terminating my Sprint plan, porting my number, and transferring all contacts, photos, and get this...TEXT MESSAGES!! ---No..for realz...who does THAT?? Anyway, just had to share my experience because i'm a huge sucker for "genuine" customer service and have to sing the praises of businesses that go out of their way to make me happy :) I met ALL of the guys (Ben, Sean, Pastor Justin, Dan, Joel and Jacques) and gal (Erin) in this store and each of them added to my experience in their own unique way. Never been this thrilled to sign a 2-year contract with ANYONE. I seriously feel like I've gained an entire family who will take care of me throughout the term of my contract...and hell..maybe beyond :D Feelin' good. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS RETAILER!!!!!! Don't get caught by the very shaky $1 tablet scam. I specifically asked why they would sell tablets for $1 during my upgrade. They responded "As a way of thanking our loyal customers". Nobody stated there would be an additional $54 per tablet on my bill nor a recurring $10 charge per tablet per month for 24 month! I denied insurance, yet there it was on my bill. Wouldn't that be illegal to not divulge to your customers? I recommend STAYING FAR AWAY from this location and visit an official Verizon center and not an "authorized retailer". There is definitely a difference. read more

I was recently on a weekend vacation to Alexandria when I needed to replace a lost iPhone. I searched the internet for Verizon wireless and this location came up. First let me be clear this IS NOT A VERIZON WIRELESS. It is an authorized retailer which has Verizon on the outside (and no other markings). On the inside it says Cellular Sales in the same font and color as Verizon wireless which one could assume means that location is where you buy a device. It is a DIFFERENT COMPANY. After the iPhone I purchased there suddenly stopped connecting to the network and could not read the SIM card, I went to a Verizon Wireless near me and they said they could not do any work on the phone because it is not a device they sold. I had to commute an HOUR AND A HALF on the metro to go back and get my phone fixed. So if for any reason you need to get it fixed you have to GO BACK TO Cellular Sales or the phone manufacturers . The employees there when I arrived for the second time told me that this was not true. I don't know who to believe- I think I'll go with the actual Verizon store not the pretend Verizon store. The employees were mediocre. When I entered the store the second time, two employees barely glanced up from their phones while sharing sports highlights. They did not make eye contact, were condescending and unhelpful. Eventually they went back to pretending to do work while I still waited to be helped. One employee Michael, I spoke with on the phone said that the manager's off days were Monday and Tuesday. I went on a Wednesday and asked to speak to him and the employees on their phones dismissed me saying Jim wasn't there. So I was MISINFORMED yet again. Finally the salesperson who sold me the phone came out and replaced it with a new SIM card. He said he remembered me from a few days before and had noticed the SIM card didn't connect well, but preceded to let me walk out of the store with it anyways. When I accused George (the salesperson) of knowingly selling me a dud phone he backtracked his story. When all was said and done they would not compensate me for the inconveniences they had caused: several days at the beginning of the school semester without a working phone (I couldn't login to several accounts that needed two step verification), prevented me from paying rent (also needs a text code sent), and took away several hours commuting to and from, until after they had consulted with a manager. Who given my phone conversation and the employees' attitudes must not be all that present at the store. Furthermore in reviewing the receipt I got on the first day I noticed a non-refundable charge of $40 to set up the phone. George had asked if I knew how to set up the phone and I answered yes. He preceded to do it anyway and charge me. All in all, absent or disrespectful employees, hidden fees, and the con art of not being an actual Verizon Store made for a rather unenjoyable experience. NEVER AGAIN will I go to a "authorizes retailer" to get any help. read more

I'm not sure what the disconnect is but when you have a potential customer walk in, aren't they suppose to feel welcomed. I am looking for a new service provider that offers an all inclusive plan. Carmen, the rep at the store, had no idea what I was talking about. When I explained to her I am looking for a plan that includes unlimited text, talk, and data she informed me that I would be charged for the service plan, the phone, if I purchased one with Verizon, and a line charge. I have never heard of a line charge and she insisted that every provider charges a line fee. I was perplexed because my current provider doesn't. But she continued to agrue that they do. At that moment, I had to politely excused myself. That is not how you handle potential customers. read more

It is beyond my most disturbing dreams how this location has such great reviews. My only explanation is that the most gullible "Housewives of The City of Alexandria" and senior citizens who fall for Nigerian prince phishing scams shop here. My wife and I visited this "authorized retailer" in late February 2016 to switch her from AT&T to Verizon under Verizon's promotion that would allow her to be reimbursed for her switching fees. It has taken me so long to write this review because it has taken me a while to digest this horrible, unprofessional, and incompetent experience. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by cellphone salesman, Jacques Matthews. We told him what we were there for, and he initially seemed pretty helpful with a heavy touch of salesman sleaze. The phone that my wife wanted was not in stock, so we were asked to return the next day to pick it up. When my wife returned the next day by herself, the salesmen there definitely treated her differently without me being present. She began to feel very uncomfortable as some of the salesmen's initial friendliness turned into sexist frat bro humor and pushy sales tactics. Jacques suddenly was trying to inform my wife that there would be a down-payment on her phone in addition to the monthly installment plan. However, he claimed he had "such a great deal" that he could put a $100 accessory package towards the price of the non-existent down payment. He immediately started grabbing random accessories to start bagging them up. Faced with some pushback and skepticism from my wife, Jacques became very pushy and shady while finalizing the sale. My wife immediately realized on her way out the door that Jacques outright scammed her and lied to her in front of her face. Later that day, we both returned to the store to return the unwanted "accessory package". Upon entering the front door, Jacques looked up, saw us, and immediately became defensive and condescending. I asked him why an accessory package is required to purchase a phone on a monthly payment plan since there should be no down payment, and he kept muttering that it was "something this location has just always done" when I asked to see their policy in writing. He only accepted 2 out of the 3 overpriced accessories ($20 cable, $30 screen protector, and $45 car outlet plug) because the screen protector that his associate installed before saying what the price was, or if my wife even wanted it, was already "used". Jacques claimed that our only other option without the accessory package purchase was to enter a 2-year contract, which is a complete lie. Jacques intentionally limited our options to push his own sales agenda. He spent nearly 10 minutes trying to show us hand calculations of why his deal made sense. Jacques miserably failed at making any mathematical sense, mostly because he was making it all up as he went along. He certainly did not like when I pointed out inconsistencies and math errors (he knew I was an engineer, so it was partially entertaining watching him try to fool me, but not completely entertaining since he was playing with my money). Jacques lied to our faces to peddle his own promotions and deals. He switched us to a 2-year contract, and neglected to inform us that we would no longer be eligible for the legitimate Verizon promotion that we originally wanted to take advantage of. When I asked him to switch to the contract, it took him nearly an hour to try to navigate the paperwork, follow through with the account changes (which he incorrectly did, and required me to contact Verizon to correct); all in a completely unprofessional and combative manner. As a customer, I have never been so irate with a sales experience. I was lied to, misled, and deceived straight to my face. This location sells Verizon phones and plans on Verizon's behalf, but they are free to make their own sales requirements and promote their own "deals" which conflict with Verizon's policies. I was in touch with Cellular Sales customer service representative, Selene. While helpful and friendly, she was basically a powerless middleman who said my only option was to return the phone to the store and face a possible $70 restocking fee (a legitimate Verizon location only charges $35). I spent hours on the phone with Verizon customer service, and they could not help me because I did not purchase the phone through a legitimate Verizon location. However, Verizon customer support was extremely friendly, helpful, and genuinely upset at what happened. You know you should avoid an "authorized Verizon retailer" when several Verizon employees told me on multiple occasions to avoid locations such as "Cellular Sales" in the future. read more

This "authorized dealer" fell short; the sales guy was argumentative/belittled my liking apple products, a little pushy for what he wanted to sell me, & tried to sell me a banged up personal phone that he is going to "fix up". He also reminded me that we wasn't making any money off of me so he was "doing me a favor" for the transaction that I settled with. At the end, I got what I needed but customer service was not what I'm used to with Verizon. Won't be going back there. read more
