I bought 2 6 volt rv batteries less then 4 months ago, it was a great experience and have recommended them many times. Now that being said. I had the worst customer service experience in my life with any retailer today at your Prescott Valley. Arizona location. My wife and I stopped by to express my concerns about the two batteries I brought. This guy that wouldn't tell me his name told me  I was an idiot and I must have screwed up the batteries, I sell many of these batteries and never have I had this issue. Very very argumentative and disrespectful to me and my wife. I'm not an idot or stupid, when I told him I have been working on cars,trucks and rv's for many years and he said I dought that I've been doing this longer than you are old. I've been in the Prescott area for four years and they have sold me new batteries for my golf cart, RV Coach and now my Jeep. Each time they have given me an excellent price, a top quality battery and quick and knowledgeable installation. They stay busy, but have enough employees that within a few minutes, I have the battery bought and installed. They are price competitive with Walmart and Costco, and include installation cost as part of their sale. Definitely recommend them for your next battery. read more

Batteries plus installed new battery for my iPhone. A month later I received update for my phone. After repeated attempts to upload I was unsuccessful. After 2 phone calls to apple and three hours of them troubleshooting they said the problem was the battery. So I had to drive 2 hours to closest Apple Store for installation of an apple authorized battery. I told them I wanted old battery back so I could get refund from batteries plus. They said they could not do that. Policy. I tried to reason the unfairness of that but they would not make exception of my case. So they installed new battery and everything works correctly. So I called batteriesplus and talked to manager Dave and told him the story. He immediately started laughing at me and said it was the most stupid story he has ever heard. In between his laughing at me he calls over his dad and other worker so they could share my my most stupid story. In between their mockery of my tale I tried three times to tell him to call Apple Store and verify their no battery return policy. I told manager Dave I have my batteries plus receipt and apple receipt to back my experience. He was laughing harder and told me to keep talking because he was being so well entertained. In June of 2019 I purchased the 4th battery a Duracell AGM battery for my originally owned 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that is in great shape with about 130,000 miles. I'm averaging about 4 years per battery. This is the first Duracell and AGM battery. The battery started indicating that it was not holding a charge properly late May so I put it on a AGM charger, at one point I needed a 10 amp input to get a quick charge to start the vehicle. Drove the vehicle to and from the store and between Prescott and Cottonwood several times, which should have been sufficient to fully charge the battery. The following day I took the vehicle to the store about 6 miles away and it wouldn't start. The battery was just less than a year old, but got a jump from AAA and brought it home, then took it over to Batteries Plus on a Sunday. The Technician was very pleasant, professional and said that he could not return the battery without proper checking it out and since the charge was so low I would need to bring it in on Monday or later after it was fully charged. I charged it again over the next couple of days to make sure it had a decent charge on it. I went to another store and again it died so I called Batteries Plus Bulbs to check and see if they had a replacement battery and spoke with Dave the owner of the store. He informed me that the battery would need to be fully checked out and proceeded to inform me that due to COVID19 vehicles are not being driven enough and thus batteries are failing. I tried to explain to him what I had done and about the discussion with his employee on Sunday. Dave very unprofessionally proceeded to tell me about what a poor employee he had and that was why he was working on weekends. I was dismayed that the owner Dave, was bad mouthing his employee to me whom I actually thought was pretty good. I reminded him that he should be worrying more about customer service from himself versus speaking poorly about his employee to me, a customer! Well I brought the vehicle in and Dave checked it out again telling (dictating to) me again that it was due to not driving the vehicle enough due to COVID19 as well as the vehicle was old and the charging system was bad. And since it only had 130k miles on it as old as it was wasn't getting driven enough. (Mind you this is only the fourth battery purchased for a 17 year old vehicle). I had enough of Daves' pure hog wash and looked at him and informed him that I was a certified professional electrical engineer with a Masters degree and retired from the aerospace business after a twenty five year career. And that I had taken the necessary maintenance precautions for the vehicle including the battery. And since the battery was less than a year old I believed that it most likely had some internal shorting problems, which rarely happen but manufacturing errors can cause it. He grumbled and replaced the battery with a new one threatening me that if this one fails soon its because the vehicle doesn't get driven enough, blaw, blaw blaw (he just kept digging the hole for himself). When he was connecting the new battery he went into pure drama mode and showed me the sparks coming from the terminal to the battery lead saying that with the ignition off its drawing current on the battery. He then bragged about his experience in changing out some 15 to 20 thousand batteries, but failed to even mention anything about parasitic current draws on automobiles. So ignoring his wealth of basic battery replacement experience I explained the ventilation system always returns to a neutral state about a minute after the ignition is turned off so that needed to happen, and pointed out you could actually hear it doing this. Once that stopped again he showed me sparks to show that it still was drawing current. His arrogance was unbelievable, I just wanted to get out of the place but this guy needed a lesson on automobile charging systems and parasitic draws, etc. So I hastily said of course there is a current draw, it has a built in (OEM) clock, and alarm system that need to run. Wanting to get away from this completely rude, incompetent imbecile, I left and returned home. I decided to check out the parasitic draw once the vehicle was in a complete off stat (after the ventilation system returned to neutral) and measure the draw with two different commercial meters. 35 milliamps! And yes 35 mA is enough to draw sparks on connectors. I did say I am an engineer. And most vehicles with the bare minimal parasitic draws are between 35 to 70 milliamps. Anything above 70 should be looked at. And if you have the higher end vehicles, e.g. Mercedes, they have two batteries one dedicated for the higher parasitic draw. So my vehicle is good for now, but this horrible unprofessional business owner makes me say "never to return" and I most strongly do not recommend this place to anyone. If negative stars could be given I would give the place a negative 4! read more

I took my battery that I bought 4 to 6 months ago in because not holding a charge and because it was only 6 V left on the battery. He said it was something I did wrong and pointed to assign that said if it's below 11 V you have neglected your battery the battery has not been hooked up for over a month to the car. and the person I dealt with said that I never said that it was neglect, but if the sign has been written, saying neglect, you can't say you did not say that a person has neglected the battery we live on a dirt road and it was live on the dirt road and it wouldn't sit on the shelf like that and get this much dirt on it if it sat on a shelf on somebody's property or in their vehicle that is not hooked up it will get dirty. And he said he is the owner of the business and he wanted to be argumentative and act like because I'm a woman I don't know anything he kept saying well it's science it can't be bad. I've had batteries that have been a dud and die and not hold the charge and go below and it's not because of neglect so I am very dissatisfied with who says he supposedly the owner of how he treated me. I had a great experience when I bought the battery and got it put in the car and I had the spray stuff put on to protect it from corroding, and it was still corroding. I would not recommend the one in Prescott Valley. He is very disrespectful and downgrading to women and talk to you like you're an idiot and that pissed me off and I did say some choice words to him and he just kept saying it's a science it cannot happen which I called bullshit because I've had it happen many times, I've had a mechanic tell me it has happened read more

I took my phone to Batteries Plus for a battery replacement. The clerk had advised me on an earlier visit that he had experience doing this type of phone. I brought the phone in and the clerk said that he had a video that showed him how to do it; I explained that I also watched some videos and that if he was unsure about the job that it would be no problem for me to take it elsewhere or do it myself. He said no problem, he was experienced and knew how how to do it. Id' never done it before so I left it to the "experienced" Upon returning to pick up the phone I was informed that he had broken the screen. I could see the pry marks where he tried to force the screen off instead of working around the sides to gently remove it. He became confrontational and abusive as I appeared a bit unhappy that he broke my phone. I was now facing over a week without my phone missing important calls, business , family etc. I lost a lot. When I inquired about the 30 dollar charge the clerk said "I did the work" I made contact with David Sullivan the owner. He wouldn't even let me speak, burying my every sentence with confrontational language and belligerence. No regard whatsoever for the massive inconvenience. Refusing to hear my experience he cut me off stating that "It's a work day and you have to call me after 7 if you want to discuss it. Imagine the "work" I was forced to miss. His concern was more centered around what the repair costs to himself was than treating the customer fairly. read more

Hey the staff there is nice and they are good for services like programming key fobs but their prices on batteries are crazy. I asked them about a Odyssey PC925 battery they told me they have them in stock and they were $231 each. I told the staff that those batteries were $163 on EBAY and $156 on Amazon both free shipping and if they would adjust and get close I needed 2 immediately. I took my laptop battery in last week and they matched it up. On Saturday I finally had chance to put the battery in my laptop and it wouldn't fit. I tried every way possible and it just wasn't working. So today I stop by with the battery and my laptop and had them take a look at it. They grab another battery off the wall and tried it and it still didn't work. So one of the guys Dave suggested trying the extended battery that one fit and went right in. Dave said I I won't charge you the difference since you had to come back. He return the old one and give me the new one at no additional charge. I have done business at this location several times before and never had an issue... there was never any reason to have one; I arrived, I shopped, I bought. But the quality of a business is not truly measured on the attitude and behaviors of the vendor when everyone is in agreement, but what happens when they are not. I made an appointment on the Batteries Plus website to have my iPhone 5s screen repaired. Confirmed for 0730 AM, which is the time I arrived. The obvious owner arrived at 0815 AM complaining (not explaining or apologizing) to the couple that walked into the store ahead of me that his employee "called in" ... (reckon if it were my store I'd make sure I opened on time regardless of whether my employee was out or not). While serving the customers ahead of me, he asked "Is there something I can do for you?" I showed him the email scheduling my appointment. He said I wasn't in the computer, and that my email did not confirm an appointment, but merely stated I had called for one and that he has this argument with customers all the time. I opened the phone to my email account and showed him the confirmation email, following which he was visibly angered and growled that he "(doesn't) do online". He further stated that I should deal directly with his "independent and locally owned" store, and that he "(doesn't) care" that online schedulers are inconvenienced. He said if I had a problem I should take it up with the corporate folks. I suggested that was an interesting customer service attitude. He then got in my face and said, "You need me, I don't need you" and invited me to leave his store. He was wrong on at least one count.... Having had nothing but great service at my Idaho B&Bulbs, I expected the same here in Prescott. I've never seen an argrier, more insulting and condescending attitude in ANY store than here. These guys are unprofessional and can not explain without creating a fight their own greedy refusal to honor corporate policy. Other B&B's offer lifetime replacements on key fob batteries, but not this owner. He chooses to insult customers and tell them they are "confused", have an attitude" and should go somewhere else instead of explaining his own default on warranties. These guys are always friendly and helpful. Anytime I needed something that I couldn't find at Home Depot, Lowe's or Ace Hardware, these guys had! I needed a battery for our alarm and they had it in stock. I needed a certain light bulb that I spent forever looking for and they had them in stock.
