I cannot recommend this repair service highly enough! This is my second experience using Nerdy Neighbor and If I could give them more than five stars, I absolutely would. The Issue: My smart phone was accidentally thrown into Talk Back mode when my basset hound puppy, unhappy because his sister had grabbed the prime real estate area on the bed which is snuggled into my side, stomped on my chest with the full force of all his 32 pounds centered into one paw. This caused a seismic event on the bed and by the time the shaking was over, my phone was stuck in Talk Back mode. After spending at least two hours trying everything suggested from Google, You Tube and Reddit to fix the problem, I became despondent. As I am not very diligent at backing up important data, I was worried I would never see my contacts, photos and text messages again. The Hero: 1. I am a student who came in with a computer that wasn't charging consistently. Nerdy Neighbor failed to fix my computer TWICE and refused to refund me. The first time they replaced the battery and it was about $270 and when my computer wasn't fixed I brought it back in and they replaced the charging ports, this was $98 because they only charged me for the new ports. Up to this point I was satisfied and felt that the service was good. Then I got my computer back again and it still wasn't fixed. I am out almost $400, I am skipping grocery trips to be able to afford this and I have missed countless assignments bringing it into the shop. I called to ask for a refund and they refused to refund the work- the majority of the price and said they would refund the parts but only if they stripped the parts from my computer so I am then out hundreds of dollars and I would have a completely un-usable computer. They would have the parts back to use in another computer and still were paid for their work. 100% a massive waste of time and money and now I can hardly afford to get it fixed elsewhere. I brought my phone in because the screen was messed up and showing a bright green screen. Thye replaced the screen and charged me $190 to do so. Then, within a week of normal everyday cellphone use (not aggressive or anything and I have never broken a screen before this) the screen cracked after a fall under 1 ft onto a rug which should not have caused the screen to shatter like it did. I was fine using a broken phone screen but within a week of that the screen completely went out on me and went black. When I went in to address the fact that the screen they replaced my phone with was bad and that I needed it to be fixed they told me that the damage was entirely my fault and not covered under the warranty and that the phone had been through some serious trauma which is absolutely the point because every day use of a cell phone should not be considered serious trauma especially when it is in a case. They wanted to charge me another $190 +tax to fix the screen again. I am a college student and was skipping grocery runs already in order to pay for this phone because I need it to get into my classes using two factor authentication. I feel like I was scammed into a low quality part the first time only for it to break within two weeks and to be blamed for it. read more

They patched up my keyboard promptly and "tuned-up" my laptop, even ran their anti-malware software and removed unwanted junk, now it's running like the day I bought it. This is my first post on social media unless you count Happy Birthday. I'm only doing this because I believe a number of you have experienced some of the frustrations that I have. I turned 70 this year and never would have believed that I would be using a computer this much in my life. I've lived in Prescott for a little over 30 years during which I've been forced to seek out several computer businesses for problems I've had. While my problems were generally fixed over time I find that I've ended up buying additional items such as anti virus programs, newer and faster programs, etc... Recently I had a problem that even my Grandson couldn't fix and I ended up at Nerdy Neighbor. I brought two laptops to them and they were both repaired by the next morning.
