My Verizon store wasn't able to repair the charging port on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, so I Googled the closest phone repair shop and found Nerdy Neighbor, located in a beautiful part of historic downtown Prescott near the courthouse. When I first walked in, Mike immediately discovered that my charging cord was damaged and recommended that I simply replace it, which I did. About a week later, my phone stopped charging through the port again, although it would still charge on the magnetic charger. I was worried that the charging port itself might need to be replaced. I called Nerdy Neighbor, and Mike told me to come in when he was working because he already knew the history of my phone. He also asked me to bring everything I normally use to charge it, including my charging stand. When I came back, Mike quickly discovered another tiny rock lodged inside my charging port! He removed it immediately, got everything working again, and didn't charge me a dime. I truly appreciate Mike's honesty, knowledge, and excellent customer service. Another thing I really like about Nerdy Neighbor is that if they can't answer when you call, they return your call within just a minute or two. I'm so glad I found Nerdy Neighbor in beautiful historic downtown Prescott. I highly recommend them! read more

Went in with iPhone issues and Mike thoroughly explained my potential issues and costs. In the end he nailed the issue and the price was exactly what he said it would be. Two hours later (as I was told) I was out the door. Excellent service, priced right and they were quite professional. As for the negative comments about this business, I think a couple people were a little fussy when they wrote their reviews. Nerdy Neighbors are running a business, not a free diagnostic clinic. Thanks Mike! read more

I cannot recommend this repair service highly enough! This is my second experience using Nerdy Neighbor and If I could give them more than five stars, I absolutely would. The Issue: My smart phone was accidentally thrown into Talk Back mode when my basset hound puppy, unhappy because his sister had grabbed the prime real estate area on the bed which is snuggled into my side, stomped on my chest with the full force of all his 32 pounds centered into one paw. This caused a seismic event on the bed and by the time the shaking was over, my phone was stuck in Talk Back mode. After spending at least two hours trying everything suggested from Google, You Tube and Reddit to fix the problem, I became despondent. As I am not very diligent at backing up important data, I was worried I would never see my contacts, photos and text messages again. The Hero: 1. Ethan convinced me to bring the phone in. 2. He got it working and back to normal within approximately 15 seconds. 3. He saved my professional life since I depend on my phone daily for all professional contacts. 4. He refused to charge me for the service. The Verdict: Nerdy Neighbor is my go-to for all my electronic repair needs. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, expertise and heroic tech repair service! read more

I am a student who came in with a computer that wasn't charging consistently. Nerdy Neighbor failed to fix my computer TWICE and refused to refund me. The first time they replaced the battery and it was about $270 and when my computer wasn't fixed I brought it back in and they replaced the charging ports, this was $98 because they only charged me for the new ports. Up to this point I was satisfied and felt that the service was good. Then I got my computer back again and it still wasn't fixed. I am out almost $400, I am skipping grocery trips to be able to afford this and I have missed countless assignments bringing it into the shop. I called to ask for a refund and they refused to refund the work- the majority of the price and said they would refund the parts but only if they stripped the parts from my computer so I am then out hundreds of dollars and I would have a completely un-usable computer. They would have the parts back to use in another computer and still were paid for their work. 100% a massive waste of time and money and now I can hardly afford to get it fixed elsewhere. Get payment in writing when you go to this place, especially when you are a person of color, they like to overcharge, for example, I went there to have my memory replaced, I was quoted $29.99, after the work was done, I was charged $49.99, a total rip off. read more

One of the protective camera lens on my Samsung S24 Plus got smashed. I saw on "Next Door" an extremely positive posting about Nerdy Neighbor. I called and spoke to Mike and he said they could definitely replace the lense. I brought my phone done and they ordered the part, which was there the next day. The lens was replaced and all is in very order. Very customer oriented and fairly priced. I would highly recommend them for any computer or phone issues. Conveniently located on Gurly Street across the street from St. Michael's. www.nerdyneighbor.net read more

I brought my phone in because the screen was messed up and showing a bright green screen. Thye replaced the screen and charged me $190 to do so. Then, within a week of normal everyday cellphone use (not aggressive or anything and I have never broken a screen before this) the screen cracked after a fall under 1 ft onto a rug which should not have caused the screen to shatter like it did. I was fine using a broken phone screen but within a week of that the screen completely went out on me and went black. When I went in to address the fact that the screen they replaced my phone with was bad and that I needed it to be fixed they told me that the damage was entirely my fault and not covered under the warranty and that the phone had been through some serious trauma which is absolutely the point because every day use of a cell phone should not be considered serious trauma especially when it is in a case. They wanted to charge me another $190 +tax to fix the screen again. I am a college student and was skipping grocery runs already in order to pay for this phone because I need it to get into my classes using two factor authentication. I feel like I was scammed into a low quality part the first time only for it to break within two weeks and to be blamed for it. read more

Computer gave out a couple days ago, took it downtown and Evan helped me out. The base computer fee was $150, really not that bad for something I use every day. He fixed it up, it's running again, and I got some nice advice for my home media server. Highly recommended. read more

Laptop was on the fritz. Evan quickly deduced that my hard drive was going out. Suggested replacing. He advised that most of my apps and os could be saved but couldn't guarantee all could be saved. Three days later Mike contacted that hard drive was replaced with ssd and all apps and os was saved. My laptop was as good as new and very fast. I have used Evan and Mike for phone problems and have been very satisfied with the quality of work and value. If you have problems with phone or PC contact Nerdy Neighbors. read more

Absolutely wonderful customer service. So refreshing and delightful. I recommend it to everyone who has issues with their IT stuff!!!

These guys are GREAT!! I found these guys looking for a place to fix my cracked iPhone screen. They did an awesome job, excellent customer service, professional, and fast at a fair price. This led me to all of the other services they offer. I brought in my laptop that I was having issues with keys on the keyboard that stopped working. They patched up my keyboard promptly and "tuned-up" my laptop, even ran their anti-malware software and removed unwanted junk, now it's running like the day I bought it. I had been looking at building a custom PC capable of some video editing and gaming. These guys went over options based on my budget and helped me design and build my dream PC. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Evan was great, he made a trip to my home to setup my new PC and went through my home network, added security and extra WiFi coverage for my home. The setup is fast and just WORKS. I thought I was pretty tech savvy until I found these guys. Thanks again for your awesome customer service as their aren't any other options like this in the area. These are the only guys I recommend! read more

I needed a new battery for my iPhone 11. They had it in stock and in 20 minutes I was down the road! My wife had previously brought her phone in for a broken screen and had a very similar experience. Mike & Evan at Nerdy Neighbor are great. I have an older iPhone 6S. It had a cracked screen and the battery wouldn't hold a charge for very long. I was trying to decide between fixing it or getting a new phone. I found Nerdy Neighbor online and saw that they are located close by in downtown Prescott only minutes away. I decided to give them a try and I'm very happy that I did. They replaced my damaged screen, installed a new battery and checked the operating system for way less than the cost of a new phone. it looks and operates virtually like new. They were very pleasant and had a good sense of humor. I am very satisfied with my experience with Nerdy Neighbor. read more

This is my first post on social media unless you count Happy Birthday. I'm only doing this because I believe a number of you have experienced some of the frustrations that I have. I turned 70 this year and never would have believed that I would be using a computer this much in my life. I've lived in Prescott for a little over 30 years during which I've been forced to seek out several computer businesses for problems I've had. While my problems were generally fixed over time I find that I've ended up buying additional items such as anti virus programs, newer and faster programs, etc... Recently I had a problem that even my Grandson couldn't fix and I ended up at Nerdy Neighbor. I brought two laptops to them and they were both repaired by the next morning. The price was more than reasonable and Evan actually sat down and explained what was done and why. Admittedly I didn't understand everything but I appreciated that he took the time. Over the next two days I had questions and both days I stopped in and Mike and Evan took the time to explain things to me in language I could understand. Their customer service has made me a loyal customer, Jim Brister read more

I brought my laptop in knowing my hard drive was malfunctioning and worried I had lost all of my data - they were able to recover all of my data and install a brand new drive in a matter of days and the cost was reasonable. The employees were friendly and communicative throughout the process as well. I will be coming back, hopefully not for a while read more
