I have been looking for a good computer repair place for two years ever since Insightables in Camp Verde Went away -- had some bad experiences. Hence I had years of unaddressed maintenance issues. I had hard drives giving errors (on two computers), a problem with a USB card, etc. The best part is he comes to you -- at your house/business. No more unplugging everything (and hoping you can plug it in right later), no more carrying it and praying you don't drop it. But more importantly -- some issue are "environmental" -- anything from bad power, something not plugged in, or in my case something plugged in that was keeping it from booting. This is a HUGE advantage to have your computer fixed in your place! He was fast -- and did not pretend it took longer to get a higher bill -- he did more than promised, got me some new disk drives and cloned them (no re-installs then), etc. He is not the cheapest you will find. Unless you are like me and need your computer ... and need it fixed right the first time. And you value the idea of having it fixed in place. And his knowledge is high. And his "tools" he carries around on flash drives are the latest and best. I highly recommend them (Joshua is the new owner) -- although I said not the cheapest, his charges were very reasonable. I am really pleased with Joshua Shear, the owner of Glick's IT. I have a laptop PC that was lagging badly and it was so frustrating to use. Joshua came to our home and diagnosed the problem, which was that I had filled up my hard drive. With my agreement, he installed a new larger hard drive, undated Windows, transferred my data and apps, and also installed a new battery when he found that the battery was swollen and might have eventually exploded. His price was very reasonable and a lot less than a new laptop with the specs it has now would have cost. I highly recommend Glick's IT. read more
