PC Works quickly helped me fix the malware issue on my laptop. Very responsive and knowledgeable.

IF AS A BUSINESS YOU WANT TO BE OVER SOLD AND OVER CHARGED FOR SERVICES YOU DON'T RECEIVED AND PRODUCTS YOU DO NOT NEED THEN GO WITH PC WORKS! We had PC Works for ONE YEAR and it was nothing but pain and money out the door constantly! We brought them on to streamline and SAVE us money. WHAT A JOKE! 1) They convinced our small business to buy a $9,000 server that we did not require. 2) They charged us nearly $400 a month for service that did nothing to protect us! They NEVER scanned our computers for virus's, never! 3) When we would call and ask them for a meeting, Heather said they would CHARGE US! LOL.... Heather the owner is the RUDEST and least knowledgeable person at PC Works and is arrogant to boot! 4) They convinced us to move our phone service to GoTo Connect telling us what an amazing company they are and how much we would love them. Explaining if we did not, we could move them without an issue! We have had NOTHING but issues with this company from day one, spending day in and day out, weeks on end for the first 4 months of service! When we told Heather we had enough, she said we could not go anywhere else!!! WHAT? My husband was furious! 5) They built the Server incorrectly and our office was DOWN for TWO DAYS STRAIGHT! Not one apology! Heather tried to blame my daughter when she was having issues with the system and my husband and I were out of town at a meeting. THIS LIST GOES ON AND ON.....! PC Works had one Ace in the hole, Vince and he has left the building. Smart man! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS COMPANY! The best thing we did was move our service to Lumo Computers. Our cost of service was cut in 1/3 and our equipment is actually MONITORED! What a concept! We actually have service! What a concept! We have used PC works for several years, always hearing that our most recent problem (which there were many of) just needed an upgrade. We continued to use this company trusting what they said, always believing that the IT person we used before was the problem. In fact we finally spent several thousand dollars having them create a completely new system for our business. All the way down to brand new computers and a "fail safe" server, this amazing equipment lasted less than one year and the server went completely down. Without taking any responsibility we were offered yet another monthly fee that would help against such issues. Every time we discussed issues there was another cost or monthly fee that would prevent the issue from happening again, this was never their fault. To own a business that sells equipment and services that constantly fail, yet you are able to charge every time you fix it, is simply an amazing concept. That is until people understand that they are just being taken advantage of. After all of the money spent, we brought in another company to evaluate the system. Of course no one is going to say the last company was great, but they did tell us we spent way too much money for the equipment purchased and we could accomplish the same thing with an internet based storage system at a fraction of the cost. Long story short, I won't even discuss PC Works customer service, I will simply say I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Really great and knowledgeable guys, Came in with a custom gaming pc that I recently added some parts to and had several issues with it. Pc works was able to locate all the issues and fix everything that needed fixing including going above and beyond and fixing other non related issues all within just a day and a half, essentially turning it into a good as new well oiled machine. Very transparent walked me through everything they did and all the costs associated. Very fair pricing and great customer service. My pc runs better than ever before. read more

Lost my client data and PC Works tried to recover it. Found the files but they were corrupted. Also advised my hard drive was bad so replaced that and installed a new operating system. Could have bought a new laptop for the service price if I had known that the client data was unusable. Otherwise friendly and knowledgeable staff and quick service. read more

A book on CD got stuck in my I Mac external USB SuperDrive . All my efforts to eject the disk failed. I called PC Works for help Both Josh and Vince listened to my sad state of affairs. Not only were they friendly, but they were quick to assess that my drive actually shorted out due to the security features placed on the Library CD. Warning: check CD's security features before inserting Although my drive could not be repaired ( darn) they were quick to assess my problem and remove the disk so I at least could return it to the library. read more

I took a pc here to get it fixed and they wanted $100 right off to just look at it. Okay, I'm no computer expert so I agreed. Four days later I get a call that the repair would cost $750. The problem was a bad hard drive and a bad memory stick and they wanted $750? So, needless to say, I took my computer and refused them my business. I then purchased the same parts on Amazon for $124 and fixed it myself. They wanted $159 for a 1TB hard drive, I got a 2TB Seagate on Amazon for $61. That's almost three times more money for half the drive space. I don't remember what they wanted for a memory stick, but I double the memory I had for $60 on Amazon. Plugged it in myself. Computer works fine without the "help" of Pc Works. read more

I was in the PC Works Office today (3/4/19) at about 3 p.m. with my Dell Laptop which needed repair. I entered the office and saw two men.... I assume a customer and PC Works staff, who were seated in chairs having a business conversation and neither looked up to greet me or acknowledge my presence. I heard another employee in the adjacent office. I took a seat and waited for about 4 minutes. Still, no one said a word to me to acknowledge my presence or to tell me that they would help me in a few minutes. I found this very annoying, disrespectful and yes, even rude! I left PC Works and found another computer repair shop nearby to help me. Last year, I took my slow running MacBook Pro to PCWorks and I had no problems. I was happy with their service and that's why I returned. They really disappointed me. Who wants to be ignored? There's always a competitor willing to handle my business. read more

This is our go to computer place. Cane up from California and needed a computer place and saw reviews, took a chance and voila. These guys are great. Have taken my son's laptop and mine in 3 times each, latest being about a week ago for issues that they immediately figured out and corrected as well as upgrades/and downloads. Fortunately we found Josh, he is amazing. I have an iMac and Apple products, and yesterday he solved my problems as he did with our television. I know I already did a review about PC Works and Josh but here I go again! My husband and I were having issues with our printer and the WiFi. Josh came to our home and checked out both lap tops and the printer. He was very honest about the poor quality of our current printer and it's condition. We purchased a printer through him and it came with it two days and Josh was back to install. Josh took all the old equipment and donated it to Stepping Stones. Saturday we saw the same printer at office max and it was in excess of $50 more than the PC Works price. I highly recommend this business. read more

We had such a good experience buying a refurbished Lenovo from PC Works... My husband is so happy with his computer. It was just what he wanted and needed for his use. I took my laptop to have the keyboard replaced & the malware cleaned up. The staff was knowledgeable and customer oriented.Along the way, I spoke to Heather the owner and Eric one of the technicians. Tracy in the "front office" is a customer oriented and communicated every step of the way during the servicing of my laptop. All in all it was a great experience and I would trust them with any of my technology needs. The prices were fair and well worth the expertise. I took a laptop that couldn't recover from a Microsoft Windows update to Daniel at PC Works. He explored all possibilities, but it was not to be. I was already thinking I'd get a new laptop, so he advised on that and successfully transferred all my data from the old to the new. All this was done in a couple of days and with lots of communication. And a very fair price. I'd definitely go there again! read more
