Excellent service! I dropped in because my Murano was giving me a warning message that the battery in my key fob was weak. The man immediately took out the key in the fob (forgot that it existed!) and went in the back. Within just a couple minutes he returned & handed the fob w/a new battery back to me. I started to explain that years ago I bought a lifetime warranty on replacement batteries- but he already knew it. He wished me well & I was out the door! Had the local Toyota dealership tell me that my battery was only pulling 58 cold cranking amps. Since it was an Absorbed Glass Mat battery I knew it had a 48 month warranty...so I went to Batteries Plus to have it replaced. They looked at the battery and said it has some corrosion that needs to be removed before we can know exactly what the battery is pulling but we will test it before and after. So they tested and showed me the 490 amps...then Mauricio went above and beyond cleaning the terminals and explaining everything about what to watch for and what he recommended. He cleaned it all up and then retested and showed me the 560 amps! So, he saved me the $260 the dealer wanted and gave new life to my existing one, which was a huge win! I purchased bulbs recently and went to make an EXCHANGE for a correct size bulb yesterday. I purchased at a store in Plano, Texas, but I went to this McKinney store for the exchange. I was told by the "assistant manager" that there are no returns after 2 weeks. I explained to him that NOWHERE on my receipt or in my experience was this information shared with me. He printed a blank receipt to show the return policy that appears on the back of his receipts. I flipped over my receipt to show him that this information was NOT on my receipt. It is totally blank. He then kept repeating that he couldn't give me an exchange, just a discount on replacement bulbs. WILL NOT GO BACK ON PRINCIPLE ALONE. read more

I needed to get a replacement key fob for my Rav4 to replace a lost one, and I was wary about trusting a place other than a dealer to do it, and do it right, but I thought why not save a buck, so I went to BatteriesPlus in McKinney. Even though it's a well out of my way, I thought it would be worth the drive. They assured me that they absolutely can do, and that it will be just as good and indistinguishable from a dealer's key fob. They just need me to pay upfront, and wait a few days for the blank to arrive before they can pair it to my car. Well, days went by, and then more. Finally, I called them to ask how much longer before it arrives, and they say that due to the holiday (Thanksgiving), they didn't get a truck this week, but it for sure would arrive on the truck next Thursday. I needed this somewhat urgently--why didn't they tell me this when I paid for it!?!? Finally, the NEXT Thursday arrived, and I got an email from BatteriesPlus saying: Your recent order is ready for pick up in the store! So, I overhaul my schedule for the day to work everything around a trip to BatteriesPlus, and I head up to the store. When I get there, they said it hasn't arrived!!!!!!! I was so upset. I asked when it would arrive, and they said it should be next week and that I should wait for a call. They assured me they would call when it was in. Then, the next week goes by. And more. Still, no notification. Finally, I call them to ask why it hasn't arrived yet, and they tell me that it arrived, but they didn't bother to call me like they promised!!!! Nevertheless, I asked their hours and I find the earliest time in my schedule I can make it up that way. Two days later, after working my day around this trip, I go in, and they tell me there's no tech on Sundays!!! Why wasn't I informed of this earlier?!?! Eventually, I go in again when a tech is present, and he says he tried and tried, but he can't do it!! Why did they assure me under no uncertain terms that they would be able to?!?! They had already cut the physical key, so they couldn't use it for anyone else, so I asked if I could take that to destroy. They wanted $10 for it!!! No way!! They want to hold a key for **MY** car hostage after all this?!?!?! I insisted they destroy it in front of me, since they have proven they cannot be trusted. I wasted a month of time, and countless unnecessary long distance round trips to their store for nothing, with absolutely nothing to show for it. This place has absolutely the worst service and downright lies. I would never use BatteriesPlus again for anything... no matter how cheap they may be. read more

I found out that Batteries Plus Bulbs replaced iPhone screens. We had an old iPhone with a cracked screen that we were going to give my father so we took it here. The tech who fixes the screens shift ends at 3pm but we weren't in a hurry so left the phone with them to fix and we picked it up the next day. iPhone looked brand new. Also while checking in for the phone, I had brought in a watch my father gave me where I could not figure out how to replace the battery. The tech showed me what I needed to do, but since I was already there I just paid to have the battery replaced and it took maybe 10 minutes to do so. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming here again for my Battery or phone fix needs. Thanks guys! read more

My nephew has been trying to get a warranty for a truck honored. He has been met with unfriendly and seemingly inexperienced personnel at the store 407 in McKinney Texas. I called to do some research for him since he works at night and sleeps during business hours. And quite frankly I was immediately met with defensive attitude when I asked the name of the franchise owner. The associate said he didn't know. I asked if the information was posted in the store and was met with a terse NO! So I asked the name of the manager and was given the name Dakota but told me he wasn't there. I asked when he would be there and was told he didn't know. I plan to help my nephew resolve this matter and then I can assure you no one in my family will do business with a Batteries Plus anywhere in the nation. read more

Earlier this week and this morning i wrote a great review for Batteries+Bulbs on their website and google. Shame on me, should have waited. Afternoon of 11/2/19 I tried add to review - part 2 of that review but can't use the original code, XE5X6GNJ1P So, Long story short: Part 2 of the glowing review i put in this morning. Dropped off my iphone, told 1 hour to get new battery. Returned but had to wait around, 5 others in store. Gave my 2 page signed paper to a assistant who asked if we called you, a no, you have my phone,and you told me to come in at 2pm. At 207pm, he said they didn't have the battery so nothing was done. This is something that should have been checked 2 days ago when i went in to see if/when/how long they could do this. Gave me a few of their addresses to go to. I asked can't you get them to deliver the battery to us if they're same company. No different systems. If they ordered battery then might be next Thursday (it's friday now). I jumped thru hoops getting someone to take me there and wait around since no car and i'm out of state. So sad! It's a battery store without iphone batteries. They had 2 chances to tell me not in stock, once for info and once to drop off. I'll make sure i'll check the next company and see if they know how to do their job. read more

Stopped by there s week or so to get an battery for an car remote (CR1620) and was told they are out because although a very popular battery they stock very few of them. Today knowing the above I call the store to ask if they have them in stock and very quickly was told yes. I should have asked to have him put his hands on the item but I did not. I'm giving this terrible place 5 stars for being at the top of the "worst experience ever" pyramid! My phone's screen began to skip a little so I went into have the screen replaced and after they gave it back to me when I plugged it in it didn't work at all. I went thru this three more times before I settled for a completely broken phone and a refund. I asked for the owners name and I was denied. They admitted that when I gave them my phone it worked, they admitted that when they gave my phone back it was broken but wouldn't admit that they broke it. No apology! Now I'm locked out of my PayPal, I can't log on to my Netflix so I'm guessing these worthless nerds stole my passwords for my accounts. I canceled my bank and credit cards and I'm hoping...HOPING they don't hack any further accounts. This is the world we live in. McKinney deserves better! read more

My iPhone 6 completely died just a couple days ago. My carrier was unable to do any work on it. The Genius Bar at the Apple store took around 90-min to explain that it might be the battery, but they couldn't be sure until I paid $80 to replace it. Also, they would not be able to guarantee that is the issue. After searching, I found where Batteries Plus performs iPhone battery replacement service for close to half that price. The guys at the store were knowledgeable and completed the work on my and a watch in 35 min. My total for 3 items was $65. They not only saved me on the batter, but provided me the opportunity to turn my phone in for an upgrade since it works again. Great work! read more

They should allow NEGATIVE STARS. Short version: travelling thru town, dead battery at hotel next to location. They would not/could not bring battery to me (across the parking lot) so I had to jump car and drive to them. Young man installed battery after a 20 minute search for the correct size socket, and BROKE OFF THE SCREW IN THE BATTERY TERMINAL. He TOLD ME TO DRIVE IT LIKE THAT....which is not reasonable. I went to three other nearby auto parts stores seeking a repair, and they all said "go to the dealer." I spent most of a day, and $ 128.16 to fix the problem BATTERIES PLUS CAUSED. Wrote their headquarters seeking reimbursement, and got an unsigned,'form letter' telling me they had forwarded it to the local store for resolution. Two weeks and no communication. FIND A CLOSE NAPA, ADVANCE AUTO PARTS, OREILLY, AUTOZONE and do business there. Not just poor customer service, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Documentation provided on request. read more

My husband went in to get his phone screen fixed and the clerk said 'too far gone, too bad of shape, etc.' Which, by the way, my husband had already taken the broken screen off he just needed them to finish it. First off- I want to say I have been using Batteries Plus stores for several years and when I moved to TX (McKinney) I started frequenting your store when I needed batteries. I have never had an issue until 7/26. I stopped off while I was driving by because my garage door opener (which is only 3 months old) had not been working. When I went in- the associate went over took it apart and said I needed 2 batteries and it would be an additional $5.99 to install. I said why- would it be an additional cost for install and he said because he had to take the back off - he did not tell me this prior to starting the work. If there is a cost - like this- your employee's need to tell customer's prior to starting any work. I have never had them charge me before and I will not be coming in again to your store due to this. The cost of the batteries was less than the install price. I understand that this is a cost you pass on-however hand me the screw driver and I could have done it myself. The associate was not friendly and acted like it was my fault for not knowing he was going to charge me for that. Nonetheless- he should have stated this prior to starting or a sign be hung where you can see it- I did not see anything either. read more

Went to get batteries for our house phone. They didn't have any but let us know they would be in in the next two days. Ok, we'll check back. We were backing out of the parking spot and the young man, (Ben? on duty October 13) came to door and waved us down. He found them in the back room waiting to be shelved. Nice of him to go to that trouble. We have had good experiences with this store every time we've gone in. We find it very easy to just walk in, hand the offending item to them and say broke! So... 3 weeks ago, I took my iPhone 6 to get a cracked screen replaced. They did their pony show inspection of the phone documenting each and every scratch on it. They replaced the screen and issued out a warranty. An hour after receiving the phone, I noticed several keys not working when typing. I called the store but they were about to close for the evening. The following day, I took the phone back and after being questioned whether I had 'their' warranty, I stated that I did, and that they had worked on the phone the previous day. They went on to do their pony show once again, and stated that the replacement screen was faulty and that they would replace it. I picked up the phone later on in the evening, only to realize that the phone now had a mind of its own and would randomly work its self.... starting apps, dialing randomly, e.t.c. Due to holiday travels, I went back to the store today and the guy working there this evening, who incidentally, was the same person tending the reigister on the two previous occasions, goes on to do his pony show yet again. This time telling me that the phone should not have been fixed in the first place because the frame is bent..Really??? So you take my money, do a shoddy ass job, and the third time around you claim that it is an OS bug that is caused by the frame. I know... I know.... i know... I should have gone to the Apple Store.
