Always helpful with a good inventory. This is my go-to place for bulbs and batteries, especially for the out-of-the-norm items. They've always been helpful with opening items for me when I was having difficulties getting to the battery. The latest item was a car remote. They also checked the existing battery to make certain that was the cause of my problem. It was. Their batteries include flashlight, car, boat and about everything in-between. They also have club size packages of household batteries at competitive prices. It's like a Radio Shack for these types of items. I needed to find an odd sized battery and picked up one at a sister store just before leaving for vacation. I was reassured that I could exchange it if it was the wrong size. Vacation, work and life events later, I discovered that the battery was indeed the wrong size. I went back to this location because it is closer to my home. I was immediately told that I could not exchange the batteries because the package was opened. Not what I was told! I went back to the original store of purchase, where they were willing to exchange the battery (the guy at the Sunset location was misinformed) but I am a few days beyond their 14 day return window. The apologetic gentleman gave me a 10% discount for my frustration. First, I am very unhappy that the guy at the Sunset location does not know the store's return policy and cost me gas to drive to the Serene location. Second, who has the 14 day return policy? Battery Plus. Poor customer service. I will only purchase at Battery Plus from now on if I cannot locate the battery need anyplace else. And then, it will NOT be the Sunset Road location! read more

Decided to come here to get a couple of bulbs for the apartment and a new watch battery. At first I was a little apprehensive because they seem to really specialize in batteries and bulbs but hard to find stuff. I thought they might look at me and think "great a $10 watch battery" but I was pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness and professional service I got. Came in around noon and asked if they could replace a battery in my watch. An older gentlemen took the watch, took a look and said $9.99 for a replacement or $17.99 for a lifetime replacement. Initially came in to just browse to see what they had as it was my first time there. I told this to the employee but then he continued to just awkwardly stand next to me. So, without ever seeing the store, I asked him about two kinds of batteries. I needed an alternative to two LR44 batteries, basically a 3V lithium (alkaline and silver oxide are a no for my needs). Another was to get some more AAA eneloop rechargeable batteries. The gentleman basically said they don't have them and offered no other help. After that I just walked out, went home and ordered them on Amazon. That was the last thing I wanted to do since I do hate that company. Beware of this store, the clerk sold us a battery for our key fob and charged us 21.89 for 1 battery. I found out later that she sold us a lifetime free battery for our fob without even asking us if we wanted to purchase this, I am sick that a store I have been going to for years pulled this stunt. They have lost my business and all my friends and family will not go here anymore. I will attempt to go back and talk to the manger and see if they can make this right. A friend referred me to this business to replace the batteries for my car fob and watch. I paid extra for lifetime battery replacements. BIG MISTAKE. FYI, prior to this I would go the quick battery replacement in the Galleria Mall. I ADVISE AVOIDING THIS BUSINESS as their batteries are inferior and have lasted less than 6 months, I have made trips back in for the car fob and the watch. This morning, the same dress watch, is not working, so I have to go back again. When I went to the reliable store in the mall they typically lasted for a couple of years, no problems. They should call it Batteries Plus LIFETIME OF AGGRAVATION. You think you are saving money, but you are not. The hassle of having your battery run items be unreliable and last for such short periods of time is frustrating. You cannot count on them for reliable batteries and that IS their business. Also, as other reviewers have noted they DO NOT open at 8 AM as their sign says. Every time I go to this shop, I am waiting for the employees to arrive and open. One time the young woman at the counter could not give me a receipt as the register was not working. She said she'd email me it to though I never received it and she'd left the state (I was told this the 2nd time I went in to have the watch battery replaced). Twice the door bell rang and took 5 minutes for the guy to come out who was talking to someone in the back. The products in customer service of this company are absolutely terrible. I purchased the most expensive batteries they sell for my truck and within one year they are badd. The company won't honor the warranty. They keep giving me the run around about these batteries being on back order. And absolutely not available. The employees told me numerous times they would call me back with an update on the batteries and never did! Bought battery in March because a previous battery I bought went dead on me. Brought both in and they were completely clueless on what to do. The young man was nice but just didn't know why this why that etc. Then the manager Rose or Rosa came in and she's a horrible manager...telling someone on the phone if we don't answer it's because we're busy, then lady in store been waiting for a hour to get a battery swap and she's like I'm a manager I don't do battery swaps, then she just kept giving me attitude asking did I ever use the batteries and why would I have this both batteries, I said ask the owner he's the one that helped me. Return policy is 14 days even if the product is new and still in the unopened package with the receipt. I went to return a power converter I didn't need within a month of purchase and no go. No return, no exchange, nothing. No more customer. Update: They gave me store credit for my new and unopened item. Only problem is I have no desire to shop at their store. I went to the Batteries Plus Bulbs location on Eastern & Serene first. They were out of the battery I was looking for but made a call to this location Sunset & Stephanie which had one. The sales associate at the Eastern store quoted me a price. I made the drive to the Sunset store and they wanted to charge me almost 4 times the amount I was quoted. They did call to verify with the other store and were told the price I was quoted but the Store Manager refused to honor the price or at least offer me a discount for my troubles. She said she would not be making money that way. I work in a retail environment and I know how important customer service is in the days of Amazon so I always shop local if I can but this company has lost my business. Pretty disappointing service. My boyfriend went to this location to pick up a battery that his company had put on hold to get later in the day. Why would they sell something that was put on hold already? Doesn't make sense to me, but they did. They called around to other locations and no one had it. The guy "helping" couldn't even tell us what it was called, he could only describe it and told us they would be restocked on Wednesday. They do have a large inventory which is great in theory, but the main issue is not having an item that was already claimed. EDITED: The owner messaged me privately and took care of everything. I bought a odyssey extreme motorcycle battery for $195.06 on 10/9/2021 from batteries plus bulbs at 1381 w. Sunset road henderson nv. The receipt said it had a full warranty until 10/10/23. The bike has been kept in my garage with a battery tender on it when not being ridden up until 7/23/22 when it wouldn't start the bike. It was completely dead, and after putting it on the charger all day it wouldn't charge past 6 volts. I took it to the store and they put it on their charger. 2 days later i went back and it was still at 6.4 volts. They would not honor the warranty. The associate told me it wasn't a factory defect but had gone bad from neglect. Neglect?. If anyone is thinking about buying a battery from these guys all i have to say is LOTSA LUCK. This same battery from several different manufacturers can be bought on amazon for $60. I know because i just ordered a new one. read more

With all the establishments going out of business you'd think that customer service would be basic. By basic I mean as it always was. Today's customer service at this location was dismal at best. We walked in only to be yelled at to wait out side by a lady with dark brown hair and a ponytail. We waited and no one was calling us in so I looked in the window and saw the same young lady with no client. A very nice gentleman came out and spoke with us and I suggested they have a single sign that says to wait here and an associate will be out to get you. He said he'll let the owner know. The same rude lady went out to service a car client. As she returned I asked if she was the manager. She stared at me opened the door and went in. I've shipped this location several times and have had had decent service. She is either stressed out and can't Handel the job or she needs a new line of work Thank you for your recent reply, however. It was an epic fail. Falling back on CV19 and using that as an excuse for bad behavior is not an excuse. The guys at this location are the bomb, I went in to check the price of a battery for a motorcycle as well as the different types, let me just say the guys here did an excellent job in explaining the difference. They then went the extra mile and did the swap for me right on the spot. I have led lights on my motorcycle so after the battery install there was a little problem with them not turning on, they did not stop until i was up and running again. Its been 27 months I have had my battery in my car-living in Vegas where it gets 110-very hard on battery-so I replace it rather being down. Went on line and bought a 2 year battery-priced much better than most places plus a 10 percent discount-under a 100 dollars with taxes, Once I got my e-mail-went there-they put in and everything went good. The people that work there are very polite-but most of all know what they are doing. Next time I need a battery-I am going back there. A really good battery and bulb shop. It is situated on a very convenient location - Sunset Road. No traffic jams around. The street is huge. OK. Let;s proceed to the review. I visited this place about 4 weeks ago. The reason: my old car battery was running out order. You know what I mean - bad start, poor engine ignition and so. The guys from the shop performed a decent battery check. They gave me an advice what type of battery could be good for my car and gave an option to chose which brand should I buy. The deal was just fine. I have found the place clean and the service - good. The prices are affordable, however if you decided to save 5 - 10 $ you can search around. But first you have to decide is it worthy at all to save 5 $ for something so important. I did not manage to mention if they are using coupons. I hope this will help. read more
