When I arrived, I told the employee what kind of car I had and handed him my key fob. I could see him working at the bench for quite a while. While waiting, three motorcycle customers came in, one of whom was dealing with a failed battery. I struck up a conversation after overhearing the interaction. I've been in the motorcycle business my entire life, and it quickly became clear that the woman assisting those customers lacked basic training on warranty procedures and customer service. The interaction was confusing and inefficient for everyone involved. After about 20 minutes, the employee working on my fob came out and said he couldn't replace the battery because the "spring wasn't working" and he didn't want to damage the fob. He suggested I take it to the dealer instead. I brought it home, watched a YouTube video, and replaced the battery myself in about ten minutes--no damage, no issue. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially after driving out of my way. While this franchisee may not have closed stores, the lack of training and execution I witnessed helps explain why several other Las Vegas locations (Tropical Pkwy, Blue Diamond, Grand Canyon) have recently closed. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I can't recommend this store.

Luckily, after a Good Samaritan gave my flat battery a jump to get going, I happened upon Sam and Guillermo at this O'Reilly Auto Parts. Sam did not hesitate to assist me and had my new battery installed (and the old one whisked away) in less than 15 minutes. Both gentlemen were polite, professional, and patient. Hopefully I will not need their assistance again any time soon, but if I do, I won't hesitate to visit this store again. Thank you, gentlemen! From the lady in the Nissan Rogue who was very rattled by her flat battery!

Approximately 30-45 minutes later I left the store having received a very negative customer service experience from Eric, the store's manager. I was verbally snapped at. The gas cap was missing the attachment that it is supposed to come with it. I was not given my military discount for being a retired veteran and Eric also declined my request for assistance in installing said gas cap cord, which turned out to be two minute task. Apparently this is a service that Eric will only extend to you if you look like him. Lastly, I'm still waiting for a return phone call from the store's district manager, Alexander Fuentes, to share my experience. A special thanks to Scott Hulse at the Craig & Lamb location for displaying kindness, courtesy and professionalism that your coworkers chose not to.
