Absolutely terrible experience. Please don't waste your money here. I brought my iPhone in because the screen had turned yellow. The guy immediately jumped to a price--$135 before tax--without giving me any options or explaining the difference between original vs. aftermarket screens. He replaced it in about 25 minutes, handed it back, and right away I could tell something was off. The screen looked thicker than the original and was already lifting from the phone frame. Not even 24 hours later, the screen cracked in my pocket without me dropping it. I called to ask if the warranty covered it, and they basically said no, but they could replace it again for half the price. When I went back to the store, the same guy recognized me, talked to his coworkers, and suddenly the price went back to full cost. Then he admitted the screen they used was a cheap marketplace screen--and that an original iPhone screen would've cost more. Funny how he never mentioned that when I first came in. I would've gladly paid the $300 for a proper repair instead of wasting money on a low‑quality screen that didn't last a day. My son broke his phone and I saw this company with mixed reviews. However I decided to give them a chance and oh boy ain't I glad I did. They were able to explain exactly whats wrong with my son's device and give me couple price point options to choose from. Which was nice given that I was under a budget and didn't want to go over. I SHOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS FIRST. The tech was in a rush to get home and did a crappy job replacing my battery. I walked back in 5 min later as my phone was glitching and he was trying to leave. Tech got on phone and had loud verbal argument with manager. I demanded a refund however manager came in and said he would do it . I went with it foolishly later my phone started locking up. I came in today a week later as I did not have time during work week. I came in with receipt and work order and manager stated it only applied to battery for warranty, not other problems they caused while fixing battery. Instead of giving me a refund he tried to sell me a new screen. I would not have minded if the problem did not occur after doing a rushed job with my phone that caused them to cause damage to my screen. I've been coming to this store several times over the past year because I thought they had good specialists. The first time they told me the problem with my iPhone was the battery, so I paid to replace it. The issue wasn't fixed -- the phone still didn't work and wouldn't turn on. I came back again, and then they said the cause was something else. I had to pay again, but another technician finally fixed it. This time my phone started charging very slowly. The same first technician again immediately said it was the battery. I trusted him and replaced the battery twice within the last 6 months, paying $90 each time. When I got my phone back, the screen was completely different -- the colors and brightness changed drastically. I work in the beauty industry and rely on accurate colors for Instagram and my portfolio. Now all my photos look terrible and nothing looks the same as before. I went in to get an iPad repaired because it wasn't charging. They said it was the battery and quoted $80 for a two-day turnaround. 2. I got a text two days later that it was going to be $120, and a few more days 3. then I got NO REPLY for TWO days 4. I stopped by the store. The guy there had NO IDEA where my iPad was or the status, and he said he would call me in 30 minutes. 5. He never called 6. I went back the next day, SIX days later, and they finally had my iPad and settled up at $120. 7. This would be negative stars if it were an option. I should've read the reviews before I took my laptop to this place. The owner, whose name is Akila did not do one thing that he said he would do. Took my laptop there on Friday and was quoted a price, brought it back because they said they'd have the parts Saturday and they would call me when it was done on Saturday. No call on Saturday. I called them. Oh the part didn't come in. We'll have it tomorrow by noon and it'll be finished by 3 PM. 3:15 the next day no call, so I called them. Oh the part didn't come in. I need the computer for work, I can put it back together he said. So I go to pick it up. It was still not closing properly, fortunately, it'll still work and I can work with it on Monday. He says I'll have the part on Monday if you want me to fix it, let me make this right he said. I'll call you on Monday when the part comes in. No call on Monday, no call on Tuesday. I called them Tuesday afternoon. Oh yeah, we have the part. So if I bring it to you, can you do it today, they said yes. The original price that I was quoted was $165. When he didn't get the part over the weekend, he refunded $40 of my $85 deposit. I said if I elect to have you fix it what then will it cost me? He said I want to make this right so $60, I said so $105 total out the door, yes he said. When I went to pick it up today after it was fixed, he then went to charge me $125. That would now make the full charge $170, more than the original quote. I'm not sure how that's you making it right. It turned into a n angry exchange with voices raised. He refused to listen to my complaints, and explain how everything that he had said was never true. At one point, he threatened to go get his Glock. If this sounds like a scenario that you would be comfortable with doing business, feel free. This guy is a liar, terrible businessman, and an outright jerk. Once I had paid, he then followed me out to my car and went to his car to retrieve the gun that he threatened me with. Akila, you know what I'm saying here is true. This was the worst repair experience I have ever had. The back of my phone was cracked during the repair, and they replaced it with a different color even though they told me it would match the original cream. They also changed my curved screen to one with a thick black border without informing me beforehand. When I received the phone, glue was visible around the edges, and it was held together with rubber bands. I was told it needed to stay that way for 30 minutes to an hour to dry. I had a minor crack on my screen that I wanted to repair. I ended up going to apple and they were going to charge me $350 bucks, plus tax. Due to not having a warranty on my phone through apple or my phone provider. I later found this company in my local area and thought to give them a try. When I got there it was very weird seeing leather belts, cologne's, old pop sockets, weird unknown phone plans and reruns of fear factor on there tv screen. But I thought, "ah why not just see what they can do and if they can do a good job." He gave me a price of $120 which I thought was a good deal. He took my phone and began to repair my screen. I got my phone back and I thought it was weird, but it was useable. The screen was super dimmed and it made weird white spots when I pushed on the face of the screen. But it still worked, so out of desperation I just went on with it. Later that night I started to notice my phone battery was dying super fast and I always had to put it on the charger now also it had overheating problems now too. The following night my screen was all the way black and I couldn't turn my screen on. Then it began to randomly call people. It eventually called 911 by accident. After that night I went back, it wasn't even a week and I was having problems. I meet the same guy (ANTHONY) and asked if he could repair it. He said he could, I was so chill and understanding, I thought that would get my phone fixed but I was wrong. I received my phone with the same problems and then I went to apple. I meet with an apple tech and they were explaining to me how my screen was horrible and protruding out of my phone. I didn't fully notice that my screen was actually sticking out of the phone itself and it wasn't completely flushed to the edges of my phone. Also when I wanted the apple tech then to repair my phone and give me a price again on what it would cost to fix, they couldn't even give me a diagnosis for a fix due to my touch on my screen being so horrible, I couldn't even get apple to fix my screen that they originally said they could fix previous. They could not press the button on my phone to access diagnostics and backup my phone to repair it. So in return they couldn't even fix my phone. So then I went to my phone provider and they said the same thing, that they couldn't fix my phone also. I had to get a new phone instead, boom $500 bucks gone. I didn't even have my old phone paid off all the way yet. Of course my provider and apple explained the reasons why better than I can type on yelp but yes they explained it well and I understood why I had to get a new phone. Then I went to the affordable technology repair store again for a 3rd time and asked for my refund because it has only been a week or two and the person in the front (ANTHONY) said he would get back to me and never did. Eventually a month past the warranty and now I can provide a proper review today. But I learned my lesson. Don't go to quick fix guys, just go through the proper process and buy quality or you'll be paying for way more than you wanted too. read more

I want to start off by saying, this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a long time. PLEASE consider repairing your phones screen elsewhere or going to the manufacturer instead. I went in requiring my front and back screen replaced, and I came out with a ruined iPhone. I had to return 3x to fix a faulty screen! The third time I return to find out that now my Apple Face ID no longer works, and get this...it was "no one fault." No refunds offered, and if you expect your phone to be done in 15-45 mins like promised expect to be waiting for an hour plus or in my case 3 days. So, my iPhone XR screen was cracked and I was charged 130, that included a after market screen. Which they said was the only one they carry. And pretty much was the one screen available according to them. When I got my phone back the screen was overlapping on one side. So it messed up all day. So I had to bring it back costing more time out of my day. They take it back and fix the screen. What's funny, is that I called another store and they said of course they have the regular screens and not just the aftermarket one. It's not bad, but instead of blue it's purple. They guys are nice, but I think I was mislead to believe there was only one screen and if I wanted to trade it in, I would not get all the money it's worth. I feel like I got screwed. June 18, 2023. I will never come back. The only thing I have to show for my $183.99 repair, is this 1 star review. My Samsung A52 screen had gone black. ATR charged me for the service, and had the repair finished next day. The screen looked good and worked for a day and a half before the LCD appeared shattered. ATR would not take responsibility for the damage nor would they give a refund. They said most likely the pressure crack was my fault, and for sure they could fix the new damage for another $135. LOL Then I visited a Certified Samsung Repair Shop. They said "ATR used a cheap aftermarket screen without a new frame, which always comes with real Samsung parts." The CSRS also said they're pro service price is $153. That's a hard lesson learned! LOL read more

It's been longer than I wanted before leaving this review, but today is prime time to write it. I wish I was writing it on my phone that I brought in to be fixed and not an expensive new phone I had to buy to replace it. Spoiler alert***4 months later, my IPhone X is lost in some Chinese sweatshop, Akila kept my money and has never fixed the phone*** I brought in a perfectly functioning IPhone X to Akila's tech guy Sean. It had a small crack on the screen and since the phone was paid off, I decided to fix the screen and keep it for a few more years. Sean said it would take 30 minutes to fix the screen. We sat around and played some video games as 30 minutes turned into 2 hours... Sean came out eventually and said he can't get the phone to turn on anymore. He needed Akila's help to figure it out. Akila comes out and Says he won't be able to work on the phone anymore that night because he has other priorities and it should be done in another TWO DAYS. He says he thinks there is an "IC" issue with the phone now and has to send it to his "warehouse" to get it fixed. They do not give me a loaner phone, and will not reveal the location of their "warehouse." Weeks go by with excuses from Akila & Sean, poor communication & follow up from them about what's going on. They do put me on the phone with their "warehouse worker" who tries to explain the IC issue but I can't understand a word because of the language barrier. About 1 month later, I pay Akila $100 for the screen fix (the original issue) to get my phone back. Only problem is, when I got it back the memory was completely wiped, AND the WiFi antenna was destroyed which prevented the phone from being usable again. Apple would not even give the regular $400 credit for this phone because of this. I tell Akila that he ruined my phone. He gets very mad and combative over the phone and on text with my wife and I, and defends himself to the grave. Eventually I got him to cough up the contact for his "warehouse" who he said "warranties" the fix and they will take care of it from here. He absolved himself of any responsibility and blamed it on his "warehouse" which ends up being another repair shop in Chinatown. I take it there and the guy said the Akila brought the phone to him and just told him to get it to turn back on, not save the memory, or the phone's functional dignity. He said Akila didn't give him any other direction to make sure it had all of the same memory that it did before. (When I turned the phone back on after paying for the screen fix, it said it was 2027 on the screen). The guy in Chinatown still has my phone and every time I have followed up he has an excuse about not being able to fix it, corona virus, Akila didn't pay him for this... etc... and he won't even give my phone back. Long story short I paid Akila $100 to lose a $1000 phone as well as countless memories, contacts, and information that should have been secure on the phone. In addition to that, I was yelled at in this guys business for suggesting he was responsible to fix the damage they caused while working on the screen. Not to mention all the time I (the customer) has to spend trying to coordinate getting my phone fixed. I'm guessing they dropped it in the back, or touched the wrong circuits, spilled some alcohol on it, or tried to hack it for my Bitcoin, whatever happened, it's not okay and this review needed to make it to Akila. atm read more

I dropped my laptop the day before Thanksgiving and needed it to be repaired ASAP as I use it to work from home. I called and Sean assured me that I could bring it in and that they were open on Thanksgiving so no need to worry. I rushed over as soon as I could and he quoted me $60 flat fee but that if there were more damages that price could change which totally makes sense. My laptop was ready less than 48 hrs. There was another gentleman that helped me when I picked it up and wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the repair. My laptop is in great condition and this is the place I'll continue to return to in case I have any more laptop/computer mishaps. 5 stars for great customer service, honesty and promptness.
