I went to update my review and was surprised to see I had never reviewed this store, so this is long overdue. I've been coming here for several years for key fob and watch battery replacements, and they have always been fast and efficient. I always purchase the lifetime battery, and in my opinion, it's the most cost efficient way to go. You pay a little more the first time (around $25, give or take), and all your future battery replacements for that item are free. It's a fantastic value and has definitely paid for itself. I will never go to the store again. They sold me a bulb that didn't work. I took it back. They wouldn't give me a refund or store credit cause I didn't have the receipt even though I showed them on my Apple phone where I paid for it and what I paid for it so I would never visit the store again I'd rather go to Walmart or Home Depot cause they got better read more

After nine years on my 2016 Hyundai Sonata's original battery, it was time for a new battery. I called the Delray Beach location and spoke to Matt. He said he had the correct battery in stock. I immediately drove there, bought the battery, and Matt installed it for me. It was a quick and neat transaction. They have the device to plug in to the car's electrical system to keep the system "warm" and not lose all the radio settings, etc. He cleaned the cable ends and sprayed the connections with dielectric grease (I Didn't have to get out my Vaseline tub). I must have gone by Batteries Plus Bulbs 70,000 times without knowing it. It only came to my attention after my car starting freaking out about a low battery in my remote. I stopped in on a random afternoon to get a replacement and was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the service. The replacement was completed promptly and from personal experience, I know that it was at a fraction of the cost compared to what I would have paid at a dealer. The associate I dealt with was also a cool dude who's friendly demeaner and pleasant conversation made the time breeze by as I waited. I have been there at least 10 times over the years. They had 2 guys there that were rhe best and kept me coming back. It probably has been at least 2 years since I have been there and honestly probably my last. I needed to replace the glass on my cell phone, which I have had done there before, so I called the store first to see if they still did it there. I had a poor experience on the phone but figured they were probably busy so I blew it off and decided just to drive over. My mistake, when I got to the store it was empty so I found a young man to help me. Even though nobody was in there I got the feeling I was bothering him, no conversation, no answer to my questions just grabbed my phone looked it up on his computer gave me a price. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I went down the street to ubrakeit ordered the part and even though the price is more I'm happy to pay the difference. I have used Batteries Plus for over 10 years now. Customer service is the reason I buy here, and it's the best at the stores I have been to locally. I recently brought in my Duracell truck battery to have it checked out; it hadn't been used for a while and I could not jump it. The guys at my local store offered to check/charge it for me, at no cost. Today I picked it up, it was fully charged and like new. Do not go to batteries plus for an iPhone. I had them replace my battery and I didn't know that they wouldn't use an apple battery. My phone worked fine for a week and now it's not working at all. The system says it's because the battery isn't an apple battery and it is making things go wrong. I can't use facial recognition any more and lots of other stuff. My phone is totally messed up. The tech should've been honest and told me they don't use an apple battery. I am very disappoint because I have always been satisfied with anything they have helped me with before. read more

Greeted the second I walked in and with a smile. At first, I thought I was at the wrong store since there was a line of car batteries in the front. The salesperson directed me towards the counter. I had my car key battery replaced a few months ago, it died so I went to purchase a new one. Very shady business they have the working area partitioned so you can't see what they are doing. Very unprofessional! I went into the store to buy a replacement battery for my diabetes meter. I am ill with the flu and just wanted to get the battery and get back home! I need the battery to Monitor my sugar levels. I get the battery off the rack and there is an older guy waiting on a married couple who are just chatting away and not buying anything. Not once did that man behind the counter look over to me and acknowledge me. After 25 minutes, another employee from the back asks me if I am being waited on, I told him no I am being ignored. Finally rang up my battery and I was out! Bad customer service! He could have asked someone from the back to come out and help me! I just needed to pay! I have bought several things at this store (Military in Delray) and been happy with the service. On two occasions I entered expecting to pay a fairly hefty amount in order to service my phone. I'll probably get the employees in trouble but one time they said I could get it repaired much cheaper somewhere else, and the other time they told me to do an optional update and keep a few apps closed. Both times they were correct. It may cost them money in the short term but I have sent friends there because of this and will trust what they say in the future. read more

Went into this business to find out if I could get rechargeable batteries for my Solar Globes. Lou took care of me. He looked at the Globe, cleaned up the contact points and told me what he thought was failing. He spent about 20 minutes on the project and said he probably did not have a replacement battery. I would give them NO stars if that was allowed. These clowns at the Military Trail location in Delray Beach don't know what they are doing and ruined my iPhone. They replaced my iPhone6sPlus battery about 6 months ago for almost $100 I saw little improvement in its ability to hold a charge. So I went to Best Buy today for the Apple authorized battery replacement for only $30 only to find that Batteries Plus GLUED THEIR REPLACEMENT RAOVAC BATTERY IN PLACE in my phone. As a result the techs at Best Biuy could not pry it loose and even Appple said they would not chance it due to its high likelihood of breaking the phone. So now I am stuck with my old phone with a battery that needs constant recharging, (THAT CAN'T BE REMOVED) all because Batteries Plus GLUED the battery in place. DON'T TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING IMPORTANT TO YOU OR YOU WILL SOON REGRET IT. It does not matter if they are pleasant to customers as some reviewers have suggested. Lou, the owner, and his employees, especially Aaron, are amazing. I called about getting my cracked iPhone screen repaired. I ended up getting a price quote from another business, for twenty dollars less. I had already made an appointment with Lou, but I was unable to make it, plus I planned on going with the lower repair cost. Lou followed up with me the next day, and I explained that I was going to go with the lower price. He was extremely kind and personable, and I explained that I would like to use his store, and asked if he could meet the price. He was willing to match it, and that made up my mind to go with his business. What stood out even more was this: when I originally called, I had just cracked my phone, after tripping over my son's sandbox, hitting my head and having a nasty fall. I was half crying when we initially spoke. When we talked the second time, his first questions were out of compassion and understanding, and asking about my wellbeing. I was shocked! He wasn't just calling to get my business, but also out of concern. That meant more to me than anything else. He has a forever customer because of his kindness. I even had a brief conversation with another customer in the store, and she expressed how much she loved shopping there, as well. Aaron was the employee who actually fixed my screen. He was extremely careful to make sure it was perfect. My phone was fixed efficiently, timely and carefully. I'm planning on taking my best friend to see Lou on Monday. These guys were great! I suspected that I needed a new battery for my iPhone, but wasn't sure. They looked at it, confirmed that I did, and replaced the battery without trying to sell me other stuff (a new screen). They showed me the old battery (definitely damaged) and they gave me a discount towards a new battery for booking this online. The final cost was very reasonable, and most definitely worth it. The repaired phone worked when I left the store, but the next day my phone didn't work again. I brought my phone back to them, they looked at it, and determined that my memory was suffering from having too many windows open. I never realized that, so they showed me how to fix it, and my phone has worked perfect for that last several days. These guys are patient, knowledgeable and most of all, they are honest! Called 5 places to get quotes on a new car battery. They were definitely the cheapest and had the most options. At the store in Delray Beach, Florida I spoke with Mark the first time and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Called a few days later because I learned that my car needed a vented battery and Aaron explained everything to me, confirmed that they had the correct battery in stock and suggested that I order it online where they were having a 20% off sale. I ordered it online and pickup in the store. Within an hour I had an email confirming that the order was ready for pickup and a call from Aaron indicating that if I wanted it installed I should call ahead, which I did. Told to come in in about an hour, which I did. While Aaron was busy repairing iPhones, a third person, (not wearing a name tag) processed the paper work and installed the battery, all in less than half an hour. Given warranty information and great service and I was out the door. Car has worked fine so far, (it is only a day) but I definitely would return.
