What a fun place to go I went with a friend for a nice girls night! We were tired of eating out all the time and this time I wanted to get out of the house and try something new. This place was certainly the place to do that, we did ax throwing, which I had done before, but we also got to do knife throwing and archery. Knife throwing is very difficult (do not be deceived by how each they make it look) and archery is as well, but we did enough axe throwing that we became very proficient at it. They actually also spend their time to show you each activity. There are two people there working, or at least there were when we were there that night, one man in the bar and Food and the other introducing you to each activity. They spent quite a bit of time making sure you know what to do the safety routines, and how to improve your skill. I would definitely be back. The food is also really good and they have a bar. Had a 7:30 pm appointment here yesterday 09/11/2026 and when I arrived there was no one at the counter. Waited for 5 mins. Called the number, spoke to someone, saw a worker doing a quick orientation for another group. Walked over and let him know I had a 7:30 pm reservation (it was 7:40 pm at this point). He came over got us checked in, let me know what area to go to, we went there, he went back to the bar and started making drinks for other customers. We were waiting for the quick orientation and axes. It was him only as the only visible worker. Then a lady who I presumably talked on the phone with came out. We waited 5 mins so now it was 7:45 pm. (Unfortunately we have 2 things planned back to back so I realized I would not be able to stay for my 1 hr reservation. So I walked over and told the two workers I get it, you are understaffed but I need a refund due to not being able to have enough time to throw for hr whole hour due to back to back activities and having been waiting so long. She apologized and refunded me. Honestly I don't blame the workers I more so blame management. Why would you have only two people running the show. It's very unfortunate because that would have been my first time going there, but the experience is ruined and I likely will not be going back and would not recommend. This was a great event for a friend's birthday. We really enjoyed the setup. The staff is very helpful and gives you plenty of guidance, if that's what you like. The throwing area is very roomy and helps you feel safe. I've been to other axe throwing places in the Houston area and not all of them seem to be as focused on customer safety, so I appreciated it. There's plenty to drink if you're thirsty as well and the playlist while we were there was great. Totally our demographic (it was 80's rock). Additionally, we were able to throw axes and knives. I've never thrown knives before and they were trickier than axes but it was very fun throwing them. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for axe throwing in this area. read more

We did the classic which is axe throwing for an hour for $32/person. You can upgrade to the axes and knives for $40 or upgrade to the premium which includes a dedicated host, a drink and a dedicated host. You start with a safety and throwing tutorial. They have a few game types they tell you about and give you a scoring sheet to guide you through play. I'm sure you can make your own games or rules but it's easiest to just follow the given games. Good place for a date night, stress reliever or a friends outing. I made a reservation in advance online ($20 deposit to hold). They were accommodating to push our reservation back by 30 min because we were running late. It was a double date (4 ppl) and we signed up for an hour. They have you sign your waiver when you come in. In the beginning of your session, They do give you instructions on safety and teach you how to throw a couple different ways (two handed vs one). This part does take up your time to play the games they have. I wish they would allow a 10 min teaching session prior to your start time. It took us about almost 20 min to go over safety and learning how to throw. So we had a shorter time to get games in. By the time we got comfortable with throwing and got in a grove, time was up. So I would recommend going for 2 hours if you have more than 2 people in your group. They have where you can preorder food (Pizza from Star Pizza) or you can bring your own outside food. They have a counter top and barstools for every lane. You aren't allowed to bring outside drinks. They have beer, wine, cider available. No hard liquor. That's best for your safety to not be drunk around axes. Closed toe shoes is required and I highly recommend athletic/athleisure attire to be comfortable and free to move. read more

This is my third time axe throwing, but my first time here. The first two times were at a different place in the city. I will say I prefer this place! We reserved for a group of 8 on a Sunday. Other than a local league for serious axe throwers on the other side of the place, our group was the only one there. Dan was so helpful getting us checked in and giving us the run down of the place. They have a full bar which was nice. You can bring your own food if you'd like. The space itself is nice - more room than the other place I've been to. There we're also TV's so if you're waiting on your turn and not cheering your friends on, you can glance at the games shown on tv. Overall, i recommend this place. What a great time. With a group of eleven coworkers, we showed up fifteen minutes before I start time and signed our waivers. Next, we each picked a beverage from the nice selection they provide: two Karbach on tap and one from Legal Draft, along with a small collection of hard liquor and plenty of canned beer and cider, as well as non-alcoholic choices. Time to learn! Two at a time, we stepped up and received throwing instruction. As each of us took a turn, we then shifted to the next two lanes over to practice and then compete amongst ourselves. I have been here on multiple occasions from random team building activities to happy hour mixers. I love the concept, alcohol and weapons that can hurt/kill you. What an amazing combination. All kidding aside, they do a good job of keeping you safe while having a unique activity instead of just sitting around a bar. They do give you great pointers to help you get better at throwing the axes. We booked BATL for a corporate meeting to kick off the new year. It was so easy to book our date and times and everyone was so accommodating through the whole process. We had a group of 28, were able to bring in food and goodies (just not drinks). They took the time to teach all of us and then held a tournament style competition which we all enjoyed. Went there on a Saturday, for the 6 pm time slot with a buddy. On Saturdays after 3 pm, you can make reservations for parties of 6 or more online or phone for a private session. Parties less than 6 can be part of a group of up to 12 person private lesson. Have to check with their reservations line for other days. They also told me Tuesday is the discount night. Their beer and wine situation is decent, but you really shouldn't be here to tie one on. You are throwing axes after all... The food selection was decent, but they said it can take awhile since they are getting it from King's and one other restaurant, which I forgot. Parking is great since it's in the Restaurant Depot shopping center. Lucked out and the place was dead for us. We ended up having a private lesson, our instructor was Ashley. She defintely was good a critiquing what we were doing wrong. We started off as awful axe throwers and rose the bar to mediocre. At the end of the day it was really fun and good stress relief. Am I going to join a league? No. But would I go back? Without a doubt. The negatives: their beer cooler was broken so they are operating out of a cooler. Awesome experience! We will definitely be back. We came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday, and we all had a great time! Definitely a wide variety of skill levels in our group -- I have no athletic skill whatsoever, but still had a really fun time playing! Carlos was our instructor, and he did an awesome job teaching us throwing techniques and coaching us throughout our tournament. Cost and reservations: If you have a group of more than 5 people, it is $40.99/per person for a 2.5 hour session including lessons, round robin, and a tournament. I am not sure about the exact cost, but I believe there is different pricing for smaller private groups as well as for walk-ins. There is a calendar on their website where you can make reservations. I think this spot is going to become pretty popular, so I'd recommend making a reservation online first if you can! Food and drink: They have a bar that serves wine, beer, cider, and non-alcoholic drinks. The concept is similar to a bowling alley, where they have a sitting area behind the lanes for food and drink, but no food or drink should go past a certain point. As for food, you can order pizzas from Mellow Mushroom or nearby King's Bierhaus, but it may take a little while to get to you. What to wear: You are required to wear closed-toe shoes to play. Beyond that, I'd recommend something loose on the arms, because you need to be able to position the axe above and behind your head to throw it effectively. I came here for a team-builder event with my coworkers earlier this month. Our reservation was at 4pm on a Tuesday and there was a group of 16 of us. We were the only group there when we arrived, so it was nice having the place to ourselves. They have a nice beer selection at their bar and we started out by grabbing some drinks. From there, we gathered by our two lanes and started the practice rounds where the trainers taught us how to throw. After we got done with practice, we began the tournament. They started with a round robin style tournament where each of us had 3 random matchups. From there, the top 6 players advanced to a single elimination bracket.
