I've never been to this store, it always seemed like a place for old rich white ladies to shop at but I'm getting up there so I decided it's time I open my mind (and wallet? lol). So glad I did. The 2 ladies in the store were both very helpful in different ways. I initially went in for only body wash but I left with shampoo and conditioner too, and ideas for next body washes and hand creams to buy next time. They also tossed in some free samples and one was the Huile de Jeunesse which is some sort of oil to make me feel younger. It smelled absolutely amazing and makes my face super soft. No idea if I'm getting younger but hopefully because if I fall in love with the smell it's $120 for 50mL! LOL. Haven't tried the other 2 samples yet but I was so excited by all the products I did try I thought I'd prematurely write a review. I'm even happier with the shampoo, conditioner and body wash than I thought I'd be. In the store the smell is quite light so I thought it wouldn't be much of an experience but it's actually the perfect amount of scent. Very into it. Feelin myself. Would definitely shop here again! The prices are pretty high but it's quite a luxurious experience and I enjoyed the in store attention and the products themselves. Seems fairly reasonable compared to other fancy expensive brands I've bought. I've paid these kinds of prices at other stores and felt ripped off but I have absolutely no buyers' remorse with L'Occitane. Kinda wish I was more open minded to this store sooner.

She said I can order online or stand outside the store. I was shocked & appalled by her response & asked to speak to a supervisor. I told them that I would like to shop in the store just like everyone else. I'm not sick & do not pose a threat to anyone. I inform them that their policy cannot violate the BC Human Rights commission by discriminating against their customers who have medical exemptions. I had gone into this location recently to pick up their eye cream with spf. It was the one that many magazines have been recommending. Prior to going, I also did my research online. The online store was out of stock which was why I went to the actual store. While I was trying to find the eye cream, this sales rep came up. I asked her where is the sunscreen with the spf located? She replied "Oh we never carry eye creams with sunscreen at all! With the eye area being so sensitive!" something along those lines. Firstly, you work at Kiehls and you have no idea what products your store carries/-ed? Secondly, if you/Kiehls actually "specialize" in skin care, you'd know that sunscreen around the eyes is important. So I told her I was actually just looking at it online and pulled it up on Google search. "Oh no, that's the American website!" I almost rolled my eyes at this point. I then scrolled down a teeny bit, got to the Canadian website and then showed her that Kiehls DID actually carry eye creams with SPF. THEN she asked her colleague and was informed that Kiehls recently discontinued this product. Kiehls gives an impression that they're experts, with sales reps wearing "lab coats" and all. You'd expect them to know what they're talking about. But no, this woman didn't know the actual answer and just made it up on the spot! The other more knowledgeable sales rep called the trainer from the back to see if he could assist me on alternatives. He was friendly and greeted everyone who came in. I like the choice of products and they periodically come out with new scents or new products altogether. The stores are very well laid out and clean looking. They often have a variety of store specials, and you can get great prices on different products. I found the yearly membership card to be worth it.
