Went in during happy hour, which has half-price appetizers and specialty drinks on special at the bar only. Phoebe was our bartender and server and provided exceptional service... food was amazing, the bar area ambience was nice and easy to talk with your date or friends,. All the food that came out of the kitchen and went by looked absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back and check it out.
My daughter and I stopped by Batch Local Kitchen in downtown West Palm Beach for a quick lunch, and it was a good experience! Even though it was a hot day, we chose to sit outside at one of the shaded high-top tables. We enjoyed a couple of cold beers while taking advantage of their excellent $20 prix fixe lunch special, which was an incredible value. The meal included a starter salad, your choice of entrée, and dessert. We ordered the cheeseburger and the hot chicken sandwich, and both were delicious. Everything arrived fresh, hot, and straight from the kitchen. The portions were generous we were so full that we couldn't even eat our desserts, so we happily took them home to enjoy later. If you're looking for a tasty, reasonably priced lunch in downtown West Palm Beach, Batch is definitely worth a visit. Great food, great value, and a relaxed atmosphere. We're already looking forward to coming back to check out their brunch!
Batch Local Kitchen delivers comfort food with a creative Southern twist. Entering this kitchen, feels warm and inviting with lots of friendly faces ready to return my smile. I want to especially shout out our waitress Phoebe, for being an absolute delight! We ordered the batch burger, mac attack, deviled eggs and candied bacon. Each dish showed real attention to detail. The fried chicken in my mac attack was crispy, flavorful, and seasoned all the way through, paired well with the deliciously creamy mac & cheese. My Honey was a happy camper with his batch burger, noting that it was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Every plate felt like it was made with care rather than just assembled. The cocktails were also thoughtfully crafted, with a nice mix of classic Southern inspiration and modern touches. The whisky sour was a favorite. A great spot for Southern food, generous portions, and a place where the kitchen clearly takes pride in what it sends out. Definitely worth a visit.
This restaurant is wonderful. Food is made from scratch, staff is as kind as could be, and the manager is extremely welcoming. This was one of the best meals I've had in west palm and I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality food (at a price!) The boulvardier is so good and chicken and waffles 10/10!!! Definitely come by!!
This place was delicious! Went at a bit of an off peak time (4pm on a Thursday). Service was a bit slow but everything was so good. I will say they over charred the broccoli rabe but other than that, everything that we had was perfect. This place has a really cool interior and an extensive bar menu to match.
Our group came here for their HH 4-7pm. Half off their $14 drinks and lots of food options including $1 wings. We ordered 12 wings, egg rolls, pork and chicken sliders, their famous buttermilk biscuits. So flavorful! Shout out to the staff for their warm hospitality. Our waitress was attentive and it's not easy having outdoor tables. Josh the manager was incredibly friendly, he joked around with us and made us feel right at home.
I've been to this location twice and I'm always blown away, not just by the food, but the genuine hospitality. They let my doggies come in, which is always a bonus in my book. They will give you recommendations, and they don't disappoint! You need to have the chicken and waffles--incredibly flavorful. I don't let myself indulge in fried food very much these days, but this was worth trying. Try their in house non alcoholic drinks. I recommend the agua fresca! Leave room for dessert.
Batch was pretty good. The food was good, service was great and the ambiance was nice. The portions are big. My sister and I were able to share a chicken and waffle dish. Mimosas were great. I would definitely go back! My group and I sat outside therefore I didn't go inside but everything was good.
First time here at Batch. Usually I would go with a regular menu item but they had a special available- Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout over Carolina Gold Rice, Grilled Asparagus and drizzled with a Bourbon Béarnaise. I went for it. Batch is a scratch kitchen. It's evident in their food that they take their craft and qualify seriously. The rainbow trout was $35. A little on the pricier side but boy, these were 2 huge trout filets over a generous pile of rice. The pecan crust was nutty and buttery. The trout was cooked beautifully and stayed very tender and moist. I loved it. The only thing I would do to improve this dish is consider putting it over risotto and the trout could have used a bit more salt to finish it. Service was great and attentive. We were asked if we were enjoying our meal by a couple different staff members. It was also a nice night so we sat outside on the patio. This was a little loud with the cars coming by on the street, so consider staying inside if you're easily bothered by loud souped-up cars. Of course, I only tried one meal, but I have a feeling you will not be disappointed here. Lots of variety on the menu and first impressions were very strong.
I had been eyeing this restaurant all week while I was in town. The day before I had to leave I was able to make it. I arrived about and hour or so before they closed but I was still greeted warmly and given a seat at a booth. I thought that the ambiance was really nice. It was dark and lighting was solid there was also blue lights which I thought was cool. The food was perfect to me. I'm originally from the South so my standards were high. I ordered a sweet tea which they didn't have but the gave me iced tea with simple syrup which was just as good. The crab cakes were great especially with the pepper and I believe orange that you can squeeze on top. The heat from the peppers was a nice combination. I also ordered the short ribs which were amazing. They were super tender and seasoned well. The mashed potatoes were great with catching the sauce and the crispy toppings provided a great crunch to change up the texture. Overall a great meal and i highly recommend anyone in the area to give it a try. I can't wait to go back if I'm back down that way.
We had an enjoyable evening with friends at Batch on Clematis Street. The area is decorated beautifully for the holidays and our company was the cherry on top. We arrived early and chose to sit outdoors as the weather was just right. Our server and trainee were prompt and we ordered drinks and appetizers from the happy hour menu. Our friends had been here before and told us of the happy hour menu selection. All together we tried about everything on it and it became our meal. I also ordered the Cobb Salad and it was a great choice as well. The menu included Deviled eggs, wings, fried green tomatoes, a smoked egg roll and choice of 3 different sliders. I especially loved my fried green tomatoes and others were very pleased with the wings and brisket sliders. And you really can't beat this pricing. Because it was early on a Monday eve we were able to find street parking nearby. The downside was a 2 hour limit so in order to stroll the area further we had to move our car to a space around the corner since the meters were set to allow only 2 hours per vehicle!! The restaurant was lively and the dinner menu had some great selections as well. We live a distance away but it will be a future stop when in the neighborhood.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends here on a busy Friday evening. Clematis street was hopping -- season; Friday night; happy hour etc etc. It was loud music inside for the "younger" set, so we chose a table outside. Luckily our friends had made reservations (highly recommended). We had service with a smile from ALL the staff we encountered -- from the people at the check-in desk/host stand to the guy cleaning our table before we sat down. But I would like to especially mention our server (phoebe) who went above and beyond. She patiently answered all our questions, got our orders right, checked on us frequently, and was so pleasant and delightful. We started with a happy hour order of their deviled eggs. The plate had the letter "B" stenciled with paprika on the plate There were four halves with bits of bacon on top to the order -- perfect to share and tide us over until our entrees. I just had to have their "most popular" dish -- their chicken and waffles. Both ladies ordered this and commented on how large the portion was -- a half chicken! The fried chicken was seasoned and lightly battered. Just delicious with a nice crunch. The cornbread waffles were a good counterpart. And we liberally added the herbed honey to both the chicken and the waffles! We both took half our meals home. My husband got the shrimp n grits (my second choice). The shrimp were slightly blackened served atop cheesy grits. The grits were not too spicy -- as I had feared. The other guy in our group got their "Mac Attack" A dish of gooey cheddar and Gouda mixed with fusilli shaped pasta. He added some fried chicken which came on the side. For dessert, the guys shared a small skillet cornbread --the only slight disappointment -- it was not sweet like I prefer it; nor was it "grainy" with cornmeal like the guys were raised with. But they both enjoyed it with glasses of buttermilk (eek!) -- a family tradition. This was their dessert. We look forward to returning to try more of their menu. But, We may wait for a quieter downtown night -- midweek? -- and may be after season. But we will be back. read more

Hi Julie!…
In town visiting for vacation and saw this place on TikTok. People were raving about how great the food is so we decided to give it a try. It's located in like a little downtown area with restaurants everywhere, people everywhere and good music playing. The restaurant itself was really nice and clean. We decided to sit outside for dinner and enjoy the weather. Dishes we tried: 1. Skillet Cornbread - It was soft and I think had cheese in it but when you too it with the butter, jam and honey....it was TOP TIER. 2. The wings - We tried two different flavors, the Nashville and hot and sweet. The wings were cooked great! But the taste itself.....was not impressed. I really could not taste the sauce they were coated in and it tasted like oil and seasoning. I just was not a fan. 3. Deciles Eggs - The eggs tasted hard and over boiled. Service - Our waitress Porsha (I pray I spelled her name right) was sooo sweet! She was awesome and provided great customer service. She was definitely a delight. One more thing to keep in mind, the brunch, lunch and dinner menus are all different. So maybe brunch is better than lunch and dinner. read more
Came in for Sunday brunch just before it got packed! Our server was great and kept refilling our drinks. The food was good. We had the Chicken and Waffles, Shrimp and Grits, cast iron cinnamon rolls, candied bacon, and Duck hash. Everything was really good. Definitely recommend this place for both food and atmosphere! read more

Visited West Palm Beach for a girls vacay and we came to Batch every day for their happy hour! Get the wings and thank me later! They are amazing! Every flavor! And you'll want to know you can only get their wings during happy hour so make sure you get in on time! Great drinks and an awesome vibe. The decor is trendy and cute. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and people watching! Staff was fun! Tip them well when you go! read more

Food very tasty service was friendly and helpful and ambiance was good we liked the pulled pork sliders at happy hour $6 for 2 sandwiches normally $6 each. DO NOT HESITATE. Don't even think about it, JUST GO. Food = Absolutely Amazing. The chicken sliders were a little dry & the egg filling for the deviled eggs a little salty (these are my only complaints) but everything else was delectable. Egg rolls, Mac & chicken and waffles are a must if you don't get anything else! There was only 2 servers on the entire floor so service was a little slow but our server was super sweet and tried to be attentive as much as she could because they were BUSY! I was only in town for the week but if I'm ever back in the area this will be my first stop! read more

I haven't been going out to eat as often as I like. So last week me and my boyfriend decided to go out for a little date brunch and I automatically knew I wanted batch since I've been craving their Nashville chicken! Honestly the best Nashville style chicken in town!!! Tess was our server as she was super sweet and very attentive even tho she was the only server in-house! She maintained great service with many tables inside and out! We ordered the biscuits as an appetizer and it came out very quickly! If you're not in the mood for their chicken and waffles which is my second favorite you must have the slidders!!! They are super filling and delicious!! Let's not forget their season fry's sooo good! I definitely recommend this spot but maybe a little after 3 since brunch time can be very busy! read more

Hi Judie!…
Who says you can't find good southern fare in south Florida? Well ok, I guess that's was me....many times over lol. I mean let's be honest, it's kind of true. We are situated at almost the most southern point of the country yet we aren't actually considered anything close to the American south...it's a whole different culture and vibe down here. But rest easy my friends, there is hope! It comes in the form of Batch New Southern. Batch new southern isn't only southern fare, it's scratch made, locally and sustainably sourced. You know how they say made with love? Well love takes times...time is dedication. When you are seasoning and brining your chicken for 2 days, there is surely no lack of dedication! The St Louis ribs are super flavorful, and the bacon tots are downright addictive. I've never even heard of a bacon tot. With that being said, on to the main event.....the chicken and waffles are a labor of love! A huge 1/2 chicken, as juicy and crispy as you like. Surprisingly the waffle is the star of this show. This corn meal waffle melts in your mouth, and the whipped butter puts this way over the top. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't even love corn meal waffles. I have a quite a few stories to tell when it come to my history With Chicken and waffles, but this instantly catapults into one of the best I've had. Aa good as the food is, the hospitality is what I'll remember most. A handful of waitresses made sure we were well taken care of, stopping by our table no less than 5 times throughout our meal. And a visit from the general manager himself, who clearly takes pride in this product. This may not be part of the American south, But southern hospitality is in full display In the heart of Clematis. Batch new southern has made a believer out of me. read more

Hi Donald -…
I really enjoyed the chicken & waffles. I ordered a 1/2 order with white meat & Memphis heat. My coworkers were both disappointed in their meals - Jackfruit sandwich & wings with sweet heat sauce. We also tried the cheddar bacon tots. I want to return and try the cocktails read more
Batch is loud and fun. Great place to come with friends for some food and libations. Not a place for healthy eating at all but u tried. I ordered a side salad to start. The salad was huge and I loved that it came in a huge bowl where I could mix it with the lemon vinaigrette I ordered on the side. For a main I ordered the Salmon, which came with Brussel Sprouts and Quinoa. I ordered the salmon medium rare and I would say it was a tad over done. The quinoa with almonds was tasty. My men shared the BBQ Pork Egg rolls and Burnt Ends. They enjoyed both but gave an A+ to the Egg rolls. Husband ordered the Chicken & Waffles. Per our server, this dish is the most popular on the menu and I can see why. superb presentation and delicious! I did have some of the chicken. Even without the breading, the breast meat was tender and flavorful. Our sever was lovely but it took a while for all of our food to arrive. Not the place to eat if you are in a rush, but definitely a great place to hang. read more
During my childhood, one of my favorite cereal box characters would enticingly say "follow your nose." As soon as you walk into Batch, you will be enticed by the wafts of cinnamon and deliciousness that the kitchen is preparing. Batch is a charming southern style restaurant with a modern appeal. It's reminiscent of foodie towns like Greenville, SC. You can expect to find classic southern recipes that have been reinvented by the chef to appeal to a generation of people who demand a bit more from their brunches, lunches, and dinners. They even make their own version of cinnamon whisky. They offer a beautiful selection of alcohol including some decent scotch and bourbon as well as all the things you'd want to drink on a hot summer day. I also decided to try the black truffle macaroni and cheese which comes piping hot with lots of gooey cheese and a giant spoon so you can shovel it in. I loved it. The atmosphere is the right balance of fun and relaxed. The service is energetic and engaging meaning they didn't hover, the other servers looked out for patrons who didn't belong to them when the other was busy. I admire this kind of teamwork. They seem to understand that one diner's positive experience means more overall business as opposed to the one tip at a time mentality. I highly recommend putting Batch on your list to try. I'm definitely going back when I can! read more

Reviews from a Texas gal! Hands down the best. Our waiter was the funniest, attentive, and charming person ever! Took care of our group of 4 with ease. The HH deals are insane for the quality of food and cocktail drinks. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day, and it's perfect for enjoying the day. Drinks were made fast and strong...and extremely delicious. I'll be coming back as soon as I'm in town again! read more

My friend and I hadn't had Southern food in awhile so we were excited to go to Batch for dinner on a Friday night. The street the restaurant is located on is very lively so it was quite packed. We were still able to make reservations online about an hour before we came to the restaurant and we were seated right away. The service was a bit slow but this was understandable given how busy it was. Our waitress was busy so one of the hosts (or owner?) came to grab our drink orders; he seemed a bit offended we didn't get alcohol? Maybe not, but that's the impression we got. For our entrees, I tried the mac attack with fried chicken while my friend opted for the house favorite chicken n' waffles. I liked the chicken on my mac attack but was not impressed by the rest of the dish. Not sure if rotini is the right type of pasta to use for mac n' cheese? Also, the cheese mixture was at the bottom of the dish so I had to mix it myself and there definitely was not as much as I had liked. My friend really enjoyed the chicken on his dish; the meat was moist and the skin was crispy. The waffles however were very soft and broke apart easily with handling. Might or might not come back but certainly wouldn't recommend the mac attack. read more

Batch was a really fun place to grab a casual lunch on our way traveling north up the coast. The atmosphere is that of an upscale sports bar with a southern flair. We sat at the bar and had extremely friendly and attentive service from the bartender. The menu is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food/alcohol and the portion sizes are congruent with the price and location. I had two drinks (their twist on an amaretto sour as well as their "new" fashioned), plus a sample of their boozy house-made root beer, and they were all delicious. The deviled eggs were AMAZING. If I was ever in the area again I'd come back just for those. We ordered burgers and while hot, fresh, and juicy, they majorly lacked seasoning. Salt and pepper those patties my guys! The fries were seasoned nicely. Everyone dining and working was in good spirits and it was all-in-all a really great vibe. I'd recommend Batch any day. read more

Great experience to go with family and friends! Batch is located near the Brightline and City Place in West Palm Beach. It seems to be located in the central downtown-like area. Not much street parking, but a lot of public parking and garages in the area. If you're driving, I would think about where to park in advance, as it was definitely a bit more crowded on a Friday evening. We made reservations on Open Table in advance for 6, and it worked out quite well. Sat us down immediately. Our waiter, Pat, shared that Batch is a scratch kitchen - which means they make everything that they can in-house, including their sodas! Overall, we were very happy with the menu as it offered vegan and vegetarian options for members of our party with dietary preferences. Can confirm those options were also delicious! Would definitely come back, as the service was fast, the servers were kind, and the experience was great! read more

SUCH A COOL PLACE!! Great vibe all around... you can sit at a circle booth, high top, or at the bar, so lots of seating options. Drink menu is great-- lots of unique cocktails and they make their own (non-alcoholic) root beer in house. Service was great; very friendly. Food was delicious as well! The biscuits were awesome. They also have a skillet cornbread (didn't get it but that just sounds amazing). Burgers, entrees, and a whole array of mac n cheese!!! read more

We were in our last night in West Palm and we're looking for a good experience on Clematis Street. We found it at Batch New Southern and we're truly sorry that we had not found it earlier on. The restaurant itself was bright and inviting, and get to the food in a minute. The highlight was our server, a lovely young woman who was helpful and attentive and made the evening more enjoyable. Don't leave without ordering the biscuits as starters, even if you can't finish your dinner. These are hot and made to order and worth every calorie. After that, the chicken & waffles, the Dirty South Burger, baby back ribs and Southern Cobb were fantastic! The portions are LARGE. Just remember that if you are looking for desserts, which looked AWESOME , but we were all full. Lots of choices on Clematis, but Batch was worth every calorie! read more

We stumbled upon this place before heading to a concert and are happy we did so. Our server gave us the run down of the restaurant; they're a scratch kitchen that uses locally sourced ingredients, they make their own sodas & have fresh squeezed juices. We ordered 2 blackberry lemonades, the Mac attack with grilled chicken and the dirty south burger with loaded fries. The lemonades tasted fresh & tart! All I could say about the food is WOW! Food was phenomenal. I'd say the best burger I've ever had to be honest. At first I was afraid the cheddar sauce on the burger would be too much and too messy so I had ordered it in the side, but when I added it on myself, I regretted my decision as I knew this sauce belonged on this burger and was worth any mess it caused. The fries were really good but would've liked them slightly crispier to counteract with the cheese sauce. The Mac attack was also super delicious. We didn't have time to enjoy dessert but I am happy to see there's a location closer to me so I go again sooner. Only downfall of this location was the bathroom; Trash can's lid was on the floor when I entered, one toilet not flushing and one sink not working. There is a nearby parking garage where I only paid $1 and was there about an hour and a half or street parking available as well. Will for sure be going to their other location to try out more of their menu & hopefully brunch! read more

The vibe here is awesome. Fun music -- think 90's hip hop and Hootie at least when I was there. The servers work together as a team. They are winners. I started with the fried tomatoes... They are very delicious and on a bed of cheesy grits. The breading is heavy but tasty. It is extremely filling. Next, I ordered the biscuits with honey butter and jelly. The jelly was blackberry I think ... ALL really good! I couldn't decide between the burnt ends, the cheeseburger or the chicken sandwich. A manager stopped by and I asked for her opinion. She recommended the burnt ends after some thought, BUT she also brought out burger sliders since I was looking at both. That was awesome! The burnt ends were cooked perfectly and the sliders were the best. The buns on the burgers were grilled with butter to perfection. I'm taking the banana pudding home with extra whipped cream. You'll LOVE these folks. ALWAYS be kind to your servers. read more

We tried this spot based on the "Yelp West Palm Beach Weekly Roundup" recommendation. A little out of the norm for us but we had such a good evening we're still talking about last nights dinner. May is warm in Florida so we took a table outside and enjoyed people watching on Clematis Street with our drinks and food. Our server 'Toni' guided us through the happy hour choices, starting with Berry Bourbon Lemonade and craft Old Fashioned (they make their own bitters). Starting with Pulled Pork Egg Rolls (decadent!) and Bacon Tater Tots (OMG!!!) my wife opted for the Brisket-Short Rib Burger, crazy juicy for medium and I had the Burnt Ends appetizer along with house made biscuits! I wasn't feeling it here when we popped in for an early dinner at 5:00pm. We had an Open Table reservation and they didn't even check us in properly, with the system telling us later that we were a no-show. They sat us at one of the half circle tables facing the huge bar. This is quite a large restaurant with many tables inside and out. Our server, came and took our order. He was very short with us, with an odd chip on his shoulder. We asked if they had any light beers, and he quickly said "just blue light!", we we went with that and wine. We asked about the burnt ends without sauce and he quickly said, "I wouldn't order it as it's all about the sauce". Really? So if we want to dip the meat in the sauce instead of it being slathered all over it, it's that bad? We tried to order the baby back ribs and he quickly says, "we're out". I ask why and he says they just ran out of ribs. Really? At 5:00pm on a Friday night of a long weekend you have no ribs?..which is one of maybe only a dozen southern main entrees they serve? Shocking. In the end we went with deviled eggs, Cobb salad, and bacon Brussel sprouts. The deviled eggs were good, but a very strong flavor in the filling, almost like horseradish. The Cobb salad was tasty with lots of bacon, avocado, feta, tomato, eggs, and crispy romaine lettuce. The Brussel sprouts were far too salty to eat, and we tasted no bacon at all. In the end, the food was good but we hated the attitude our server had; which made for poor experience. read more

Food was ok, had the fried chicken over potatoes instead of grits. My friends had the basic eggs, bacon, and potatoes. They said it was ok. The service here was lacking, I'm not sure if it's because it's outside but the waitress was not attentive and the place was not packed. Never got juice we requested, we had to ask for silverware after we were served, and condiments as the table was not ready to receive patrons it would seem. Also had to ask for refills on the mimosa. One person did the unlimited, one had a Bloody Mary and said it was very good and one did not have any alcohol. Not impressed with this place at all, I feel it's overrated as this is not the first time here. I was hopeful ...They did bring water for the dog. Maybe inside the service is better. read more
