Michael, the onsite manager, is super easy to work with, communicates very well, and watches over the property like a hawk. I feel comfortable knowing my items are taken care of and the price is very affordable compared to others in the area. I previously had a storage unit with another company in Austin where someone tried breaking into the unit by driving through the wall resulting in damage to my stored property. The management knew it had occurred, but never contacted me about it and let me discover it on my own. I am glad I moved my stored items to Bastrop Guardian. As long as Michael is caring for the property I expect to use their service for a long time. My advice to new renters...take the time to read all of the information Michael gives you. It will provide all the answers you need and prevent any misunderstandings. Ive read the negative reviews and checked it out for myself. Its apparent those people didnt take the time to read or were just dumbasses to begin with. ‍ read more

Great Place for storage. Clean units. Owner keeps up on any disruptions, rats...., Sheba is so amazing! Thank you Michael and Sheba! We appreciate you! read more

I loved this storage units. Michael who manages the place, can seem like over the top with his rules, like driving very slow when you enter the facility, moving in and out of the units rules, etc. but after staying there for 3 years its what made this place awesome. You're stuff is in good hands while Michael is looking over your items. Greatly appreciate my interactions with him and the units were very clean and upkept. I highly recommend the indoor units because the temperature was always perfect! And the air conditioning when I moved out helped tremendously with this current heat. It also saved my stuff through the freeze two years ago and these crazy hot summers. It helped keep my stuff completely safe and guarded even from the weather. Highly recommend Bastrop Guardian Storage! read more

Bastrop Guardian is a great name for this storage facility, as it is the best cared for and surveillance savvy business we have encountered over MANY years of moving about. Mike is friendly and thoroughly explains all the high points of the contract expectations upon signing up, and as an adult, i feel the responsibility falls on me to review and understand before agreeing to any and all requirements for storing my belongings on his property. I'm sure the rules he has as to speed limits etc are from years of experience with dealing with the public.... and anyone who has had to do THAT on a daily basis will understand the drawbacks therein ;^) You can be assured your belongings are safe and i will use this business again if needed and not hesitate to recommend to others. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this facility. The security is top tier! I never worried about my items being messed or tampered with. Michael who is over the facility is one of the nicest men you will meet and him and his pup babies are so welcoming. I used this facility for over a year and enjoyed the experience. They are also very affordable for the space and security given. read more

We used this facility for a couple of years. Always great service and secure protection of our belongings. Mike was always helpful to us. Thank you read more

Owner/manager is a liar and a thief. He accepted payment for every month we were there. He decided to terminate our lease and sell all of our stuff before the end of the month. He expects everyone to drive at or under 5 mph. He enforces this by his sight. Even though your speedometer says 5 if he thinks you are going faster he yells at you to slow down. He constantly "visits" with you when you are putting something in or out in order to snoop at what you have. He CLAIMS he sent an email notifing us of the termination but he only sent it today. Recommend NEVER rent from here. read more

Easy access. Quick to respond to emails. Peace of mind knowing the premises was secure through use of video cameras and gate codes. Highly recommend and would definitely use their services again. read more

I did some research of the Bastrop area before we moved our belongings here. Michael at Guardian helped us out with a unit to store our first load from Maine. Later we held an onside unit to move the new stuff from another state and combine everything in one space. Spaces were secure and reasonable. Michael is kind and funny but we love the dogs the most. Go to Guardian for your storage needs Mike and the girls are on site all the time! read more

We stored our things 2 years ago. Finally were able to clear it out and everything was in tact and still great condition for not being climate control. Their prices are affordable. I would definitely use them again if I move back to Bastrop. Thank you for the great service and always having a cheerful and positive attitude read more

The storage rental process was very detailed from the very beginning as to what you need to do to maintain the storage unit and keep your account active. The payment process is easy and versatile. The gate codes were always delivered on-time. This storage unit company is well organized. I had no issues during my 1 1/2 year rental. read more

I highly recommend this storage facility. Michael is an awesome business person to work with. He takes his business and guardian ship of the facility very seriously. Can't forget to mention his other working ladies(dogs), are very friendly but will guard when they need too. Im a dog person n I loved them so much for protecting my valuables. Best experience ever. I would do buisness again if need. read more

Bastrop Guardian Storage is a clean and well taken care of facility. Michael is the on-site manager and caretaker. Should you place your prized possessions in storage, rest assured, they will be well guarded, safe and secure. He and his crew are on it 24/7. They have served my storage needs very well and I highly recommend this fine establishment for your storage needs. read more

I really can't say enough good things about Michael, Samantha, and Tabitha, and the great work they do. They always made me feel sure that the security of my things was their #1 priority. There's no doubt he takes his business seriously, and absolutely DOES NOT COMPROMISE on his security protocols. I felt like I had a personal security guard just for my unit. You could pay twice as much at any of the big name storage companies and not get a fraction of the care for the well-being of your things. If you don't like following rules, then this might not be the place for you. But if you're capable of basic instructions and can understand the benefit of well thought out processes and procedures, you WILL NOT be disappointed. read more

Wonderful customer service. Safe place to store your belongings. I would recommend this storage facility in a heartbeat!

Michael, the owner, is so genuinely kind and really goes out of his way for his customers. Do yourself a favor and give this place a call.

If you don't choose Bastrop Guardian Storage, you will regret it. I know from experience with many storage facilities from LA to SA. Michael is Magnificent!, as are his beautiful, super supportive assistants, Tabitha and Samantha (furry, four legged friends). Michael is extremely professional, efficient, and kind. This is a hard combination to find in business today. He puts the customer first. He's smart too! Please don't be stupid and mistake his caring as a weakness. Don't try to take advantage of him or be unkind to the girls. Fortunately that won't fly here! In this shark infested society, Bastrop Guardian Storage was a little oasis of rabbits, birds, peace in the country....'country' for a Cali woman If you want to REALLY experience 'customer service' look no further. I moved and miss this terrific trio. Everyday the pups would greet me with enthusiasm, loving, and licks. Inwardly Michael is like that also, I'm sure but he shows great restraint! While I was going through the most difficult time of my life, who would have thought joy, kindness and that people and pups actually cared! A big plus is that they live on the property and the hours are great for night owls. As a single female, I knew I was safe all the time. He's a pro and everything is clean! safe, and I had a truly uplifting and unique experience... from renting a storage unit! read more

The rooms I rented were clean from the start, I had absolutely no issues with bugs and rodents. Michael and the girls were the best. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Great service at a great price! Clean and secure pest-free units with 24-hour surveillance! I stored a lot of valuable items in two separate storage units simultaneously with no problems. I would strongly recommend Bastrop Guardian Storage! read more

I have used other storage facilities throughout the years. I have found Bastrop Guardian to be one of the best I have ever used. Michael is always on site, friendly, concerned and helpful. When I first went to lease a space he took the time to explain my options, showed me the space and get me all set up. When I would drop by to either get more stuff out or add stuff tot he unit and happened to see him, he was always friendly. I mentioned to him I was getting ready to vacate, and he sent me all the information I would need and even offered to sweep the unit out for me. I highly recommend Bastrop Guardian Storage for all of your staorage needs. read more

We had to find a storage unit quickly due to our lease being up and our house not being ready for move in. We looked up several places in Bastrop and decided to contact Bastrop Guardian. Luckily there was a unit available and we were able to move our items in asap. Micheal was very professional, courteous, and answered all or our questions. His two pups, Samantha and Tabitha, are such awesome dogs and very well trained. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I would not recommend this storage facility. I was harassed every time I entered the facility. First of all let me say that I understand the need to drive slow through a storage facility as people and dogs may be walking out of and between the buildings. The speed limit is 5 MPH. I would drive in, keeping my speedometer at 5 or below, and would get Michael on a blow horn telling me to slow down before I even got up the hill into the storage facility. I would finish my business in my unit and proceed to leave. He would be standing in the road so he could tell me again to slow down and I would tell him that I was driving 5 or below. One time after he told me that I was going too fast my wife, who was with me, asked him how fast his radar detector showed me going. He said he didn't have one he could just tell how fast I was going. Another time he told me that the big tires on my truck would mess up the speedometer and that I was going faster than it said. I told him that couldn't be true because I have factory sized tires on my truck. The last straw was last week when he stopped me again on the way out and I told him that I was staying under 5 MPH, he then told me that the speedometers really don't work well under 10 MPH. I drove slow every time I went in and I had several people ride in with me watching the speedometer the entire time just to verify. Each time he would be on the blow horn telling me to slow down. I was just tired of being harassed as I was driving in and driving out and with all of the other storage facilities in Bastrop it is worth a little more a month not to be harassed. read more

My husband & I used Bastrop Guardian Storage for a few months and we had no complaints. What I liked most about Guardian; the management was very helpful & friendly, 24 hour surveillance, & email notifications. This is the best storage facility I have used in my life. Michael & his staff are professional & friendly. The site is well maintained & very monitored night & day. I would not recommend any other facility in Bastrop Co. read more

My husband and I "followed" Michael from the last place he managed in Austin as it began to deteriorate after he left. We chose to go a little out of our way strictly because of his deep respect for others and the professional way he manages his business. It's really fascinating to watch him transform a facility. The last place we were at was a real mess before he started and wow - Michael and his "girls" worked miracles. When we first arrived here, it was difficult not to be a little skeptical of the place. But again, Michael and his babies started working their "magic" again. Watching what he does just reinforces our commitment to Michael and any business he represents. If you need a place to feel good about storing your things, call Michael and decide for yourself. I have no doubt you'll be pleased with his, Tabitha's and Samantha's commitment to great customer service and keeping his place clean and safe. Alicia read more

Great location, great service! I only ever had to call once, and my question was immediately answered. I actually received a call just to let me know what was going on - completely unexpected and a welcome surprise. Even with the great flood of 2016, my unit was dry. I came in on the Wednesday following the storms, and there was not even standing water on the property! Definitely would recommend! read more

After having issues with other storage companies in the Bastrop area, we moved our stuff with Bastrop Guardian and we could not be happier. Bastrop Guardian takes the security of their storage facility very seriously. The manager lives on site and they have cameras and other security systems and policies that their competition does not have. Their web site was easy to use and I set up automatic billing which made doing business with them simple. The customer service was friendly and responsive. read more

Clean facility and nice staff. Will use again if needed. Will recommend to all my friends. Very friendly.

Wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place of "business." We went in on a Saturday, paid for the first month's rent on a storage unit and informed them we would need to get in later in the day, as we were having help getting a 17' truck loaded up, and only had help to unload it that day. They assured us it would be no problem. It was. You guessed it. We were stuck with the truck loaded up, and our code wouldn't work. But this place had screw up on top of screw up. I called a couple of days later to talk to the manager "Ray." He nicely apologized and said the system had been down. OK. Mistakes happen. I accepted the apology. But then he said he would take care of crediting our credit card for the amount we paid for the first month's rent and deposit, and would call me back in a day or two to inform me that he did it. Nothing. But it goes on. He wanted the credit card # and info again, which I gave him. I asked, "Don't you have this in your records?" He replied "Oh we don't keep those sorts of records." What?!!!? I can't imagine how this place even stays in business. Anybody out there with the IRS or the Better Business Bureau? I haven't yet got my money back, but I"ll keep on working on it until I do. This is definitely one of those places where their ability to even be in business amazes me. They are completely unprofessional and disorganized. They don't even post or announce their hours of business or have an emergency number like many other places like this do. And they say that the attached Uhaul is a separate business, but it's very confusing, as the same employee will take care of both, but then conveniently not know about "that side of the business" when the time is right. Geesh! This one gets my vote for worst business I've come across in quite some years. Now I'm off to give a positive review for Sierra Storage further on 71 towards Smithville, because they were wonderful, organized, and professional, with much better facilities. read more

This is the cleanest, most secure storage unit I have ever utilized. The owner literally does live onsite. His name is Mike and he (and his canines) provide as secure a facility as can be imagined. The prices are excellent. The rules are clear cut and Mike is a total pro. We used one of the climate controlled units for a slow roll move from Florida to Austin and all our gear including bedding and expensive guitars came out as good as the day we stored them nine months before. read more

the staff is very friendly and always welcoming, i showed up a little after hours to rent and the lady re-opened the office to accept my business, i felt very welcome and like i wasn't a bother at all. i like that, it is hard to find that kids of service, most people treat you like your a bother to them even during regular business hours. the place is a little dark and there is no fence along the back side so it looks creepy. my only downside. read more
