I've been storing items at Check Plus for about 4 years now, and have consistently found the site to be spotlessly clean, properly cooled, and extremely well maintained. I moved out to Smithville from Austin with way too much stuff, into a small house and needed to rent a storage place until I could make room for everything. I found Check Plus Storage and rented a climate controlled space that was perfect! I could never say enough good things about this business. We were stuck with a 17' Uhaul truck on a Saturday evening due to the screw ups of a another storage place down the road (see my review on M&D Storit), and we were really in a bind. I got a hold of the woman in charge there (I'm SO SORRY I can't remember her name), and she left her home immediately to meet us there and check us into a storage facility. She was extremely professional and organized, and really saved our butts that day. It is more expensive than many in the area, but the security is much better, and unlike their competition down the road, you can easily drive even large vehicles in and out of the facility. This place was awesome, and shines brightly in my mind as an example of good quality products and service! read more
