I'm not sure how we ended up on this side of town but we were and we saw a Baskin Robbins. We were attracted like bugs to a light lol. We generally try to keep it to local small businesses but there isn't very many BR around so we stopped in. There is flavors for everyone and cone options. The 2 girls working were friendly and allowed us a few minutes to decide what we were getting. The place was super clean and following covid precautions. Hubs and I shared a very berry strawberry and strawberry cheesecake in a waffle cone. The kids got the kids creations, one a mermaid and the other a monster. The waffle cone was fresh and crunchy. The ice cream was cold and perfect. The flavors were creamy with big chunks of strawberry and cheesecake. The kids really loved their ice cream and the little decorations in the cups were chocolate. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. The lone worker mentioned his boss' name was Curtis. Curtis needs to do a better job with training his employees. The worker told me, "To be honest, I haven't started the customer's order but it's really easy to make". He then proceeded to make the orders of 3 other groups instead of working on the pre-paid order. Well, hourly wage employee, that's nice it's easy to make but your wasting of people's time shows the mindset of this business. read more

The employees inside were laughing and one employee turned off the lights when we came to the doors and yelled that they were closed as soon as we walked away they turned the lights back on and continued to hurry and clean. I'm not writing this to complain but more so feedback for the company losing 40 minutes worth of sales. Will not be returning. Lost time and it was too late to go somewhere else. I beg you all to not support this establishment. Horrible prices compared to other locations. Location charges almost $2 for a couple pieces of candy. Manager ALWAYS lies. As an owner, she is a dishonest person and is known for being unprofessional, stingy, and racist. She holds unfair standards with employees compared to others. The "owner" Joann is a very unprofessional, has no leadership skills what so ever. She does not pay for job training which is required for the job and only schedules the younger kids to work a few hours (10Hrs) a week. This cake was ordered 12 days before I was supposed to pick it up. I requested a 12:30 pick up time for a party. When we got there, we were told the cake wouldn't be done until 2pm. Not ok. This was for a party, not because I had a craving for ice cream. Then, when we picked up the cake, the "NFL" wasn't even centered on the cake. It was obviously rushed and poorly done. I can't believe anyone would actually think this was ok. It's a print...not something that was decorated by hand. The size was grossly different than the picture online. IF the "NFL" sign had been centered, it would have been the entire cake. My family and I love Baskin Robbins but I will never get anything from there again. The employees didn't seem to know what to do. They couldn't make a banana split because they didn't have bananas. I then asked for a hot fudge sundae with 3 scoops the employee was only able to get 1 1/2 scoops, the milkshake was horrific. Starting off this review by saying I know it's rude to walk into a place right before it closes, but I have worked in food and know that it happens. I walked into this location to 2 teenagers talking it up with their friends at 9:59. One minute before they close. The door was unlocked and I was going to buy just a tub of ice cream to make their lives easier ,so they wouldn't have to dirty up anything they already cleaned. Come to find out that they already closed the register before they even closed the door and before 10pm which is their stated closing time. Came to this location many years ago on a hot summer day to find all of their ice cream melting. Give them a quick chance to sell a tub of ice cream to a customer, and they somehow mess that up too. I wouldn't say that my experience was subpar but it wasn't as awesome as other locations/ franchises in the Phoenix area. The Indian and 75th Baskin Robbins is in a run down neighborhood and it's outside is very rough. It's right by a family dollar and that can automatically mean bad news if it is in a bad part of town. Walking in we were greeted and once we walked up to the counter they asked us if we wanted to try anything or if we ready to order. I did not happen to catch their names but it was an older black man with a thin frame and a young white woman. I am a diabetic so sugar free is what I opt for naturally and I was kind of surprised by only having one sugar free variety (Pineapple Coconut) available. I said , "I just won't get anything , I'm fine." Then the girl offered me another flavor they had in the back called turtle-something ? And it was very delicious and considerate of her to take care of me. I believe the off putting part of the experience was when I went to pay. I was not told about a 50 cent charge to my debit card until I brought it up. I had just slid my card and accepted to pay and then I said , " hold on can I cancel ? I didn't see the charge." He said , " no it's too late." I walked out feel angry. A "convenience fee" are you kidding me ? I'm doing a convenience to you by shopping there. I went back in and the man had the audacity to offer me something else to eat and I said ," no just taking a picture so I remember next time." Yeah , remember not to come back. I'm glad we have other options in the state I moved to. It's gonna take a while or a huge craving for me to get over this greediness. I can't understand how it can so expensive for a business to have a credit/debit machine but essentially every other business manages without passing on the cost to the customer. WORST place to get ice cream! The old man is rude and gives you a tiny scoop of ice cream. The girls do give a big scoop when he's not there but it's disgusting that they serve and then eat some ice cream. That is disgusting and unsanitary! Plus, I saw cockroaches in the store! Told one of the employees and said she was going to take a look and never went to look! I went closer to the register to ask for a spoon and I saw the sink water was all black, as if it was dirty and I saw them washing the blenders with that same water!! Obviously cleaning is not a priority for them and management is horrible! I can only imagine what other things go on behind closed doors.
