This place has friendly staff and their cakes are awesome! There is so much creativity in their cakes. I would definitely stop by to see decorated cakes unique to this location. Parking is free

Ice Cream Cake - Chocolate Chip / Chocolate Roll
Yvonne B.

This is one of my favorite corner shops in Monrovia. They have lots of ice cream flavors, cakes, and scoop options. I ordered their chocolate log cake online, the process was very easy. You can always buy what they have in-person too! The staff was very friendly and speedy with my order. This ice cream cake was a hit at the birthday celebration, especially in this heat! The store has several of indoor tables and they have a weekly Family Night deal on Tuesdays.

Extra flavor hair in ice cream
A G.

Walking distance from my house here in Monrovia I took my wife and my daughter for a scoop of ice cream, after we left, we were eating ice cream and discovered. Multiple long hairs were weaved inside the ice cream. They should implement a hair net, and facial hair net for employees handling food

I was there just a few minutes ago and bought prepacked quarts of Pralines and Cream and Oreo Cookies and Cream. I got home and served myself a bowl of scoops of the Pralines and Cream. While eating the ice cream I felt something in my mouth, thankfully I didn't swallow it. It's a piece of plastic. Someone could choke on this! I guess these quarts are going into the trash, thanks for wasting my money Baskin Robbins! I won't be back.

Well packaged banana split for takeout

This is a pretty spacious store so easy for social distancing. I ordered a banana split. If you download the Baskin Robbins app you will find various deals. One for this month was a banana split for $5. Pretty good! Due to COVID restrictions you have to get it to-go. The person who helped me made sure my ice cream did not get ruined haha....he sealed the container with lots of tape! What a beautiful creation when I opened the container. You get to choose 3 flavors of ice creams, then toppings and it comes with almonds, whip cream and 3 cherries. It was so good. Very nice service.

Single Scoop, $3.29, tax included. Shown with pistachio. Cute dog does not come with purchase

This Baskin-Robbins is located in the same plaza as Vons, specifically in the corner, next door to Mooyah and Blaze Pizza. This Baskin Robbins does have outdoor (covered) seating, two tables with chairs. My husband, our little girl dog and I came here yesterday after 7:30 pm, since we were in the mood for ice cream in this crazy heat wave. We ended up ordering: Single Scoop, $3.29, after tax- My husband opted to get a scoop of pistachio. I did not get a chance to have any but my husband and our little girl seemed to like it (please see my photo). I saw that there were actual pistachio nuts in the ice cream which is nice for an added texture and crunch. You have the option of getting this in a cup or in a cone, with no extra charge for a cone (extra charge for a waffle cone). Kids Single Scoop, $3.09 after tax-I wanted something small and decided upon strawberry. The kid size really was a good portion for me, although the small single scoop is a little larger if you prefer a bit more ice cream to indulge your sweet tooth. My ice cream was creamy and I liked that there were pieces of frozen strawberries in the ice cream. ------------------------ (Total= $6.38 after tax) Please note that butterscotch flavor (Scoops Ahoy USS Butterscotch Slime) is a special flavor right now, because of Netflix's Stranger Things show (great show by the way). Service was quickly and friendly. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and will be back in the future.

This place lives up to the hype of new trendy LA ice cream places. I love their motto of "Not too…read moresweet", a phrase that is a high compliment in the Asian-American dessert community. Their flavors are very unique, with yakult and misugaru being some of the stand-outs. They also have fun toppings like mochi and sago! I really liked the service because each staff member was very accommodating and let us try as many flavors as we wanted! They also gave us some stickers to take home :) Loved the late night vibes and all of the fun board games they had laying around for people to play!

A line formed right before they open with dedicated customers waiting patiently. Seating is very limited and many people take their ice cream to go. Families, young adults, teens, grandparents- people of all ages come here. Atmosphere is cool, decor is fun. I'm amazed about the flavors they've concocted. During this visit they had condensed milk, mango sago, yakult, black sesame and Vietnamese coffee. The Vietnamese coffee is spot on (I should know I'm a viet girl who gets her viet coffee from time to time). Mango sago was delicious and yakult's flavor was perfect, too! The condensed milk- I couldn't really pick it up flavor wise but I'm thankful for having it along side the viet coffee which balances out the bitterness beautifully. The consistency of the soft serve is impeccable. The topping choices are *chefs kiss*. So Asian, so beautiful. Service was great! They let you try out the flavors before purchase . Luckily they don't have a lot of options so it didn't take forever while waiting in line. I heard they rotate different flavors every week and a half or so. Get ready to come by when the weather gets warm!

I just wish I had taken a picture of the ice cream sandwich I got but I ate it too fast. It was a triple milk ice cream with chocolate cookie sandwich. It was delicious! The unfortunate part is that the ice cream really isn't that good, and the portions are small for what you pay.  What really turned me off, though, was the lack of common sense from the staff. If you've been here, you know they have a display case with slices of cake and pie. Normally you look through the case and point to the piece you want. That's exactly what I did. There were about ten pieces of cake in the case, and I picked one that had the perfect icing-to-cake ratio. The employee asked what I wanted, and when I pointed to the slice she told me, "You can only pick from these two," while holding up two other pieces. Apparently those were the older slices that they were trying to get rid of. They were clearly smaller and, judging by how they were being pushed, probably not the freshest either. Since I was basically being forced to buy something I didn't want, I said I didn't want anything. She just said "okay" and moved on to help the rest of my family. At that point I told my family we were leaving and heading to Bloomfield Creamery in Altadena instead. The employee had every opportunity to use a little common sense and simply give me the slice I asked for. I work hard for my money, and if I'm paying premium prices, I expect to choose what I'm buying. Instead, they lost Madre family of customers for good.

I tried the lychee and matcha soft serve flavors, and ended up getting the matcha flavor. Those flavors were good, the lychee and matcha were pungent. But the texture of the soft serve wasn't my favorite. The texture wasn't my favorite, it was more of an icy texture as oppose to a creamy silky texture which I would have preferred. I usually like the Oreo topping on my soft serve since it gives it a crunch, but it just didn't taste that good after a few bites. This soft serve was also a bit pricey, it was around $7 for the soft serve and topping, which was a bit disappointing since it wasn't that great. My friend also got their crunchy nut ice cream and didn't like it. I wish I liked this place more since they have Asian flavors but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite. Maybe if they improve the texture of their soft serve, I would reconsider.

We honestly wished it was closed when we tried it this evening. Water based soft served. This is a sorbet not soft serve with dairy. A Sorbet. It wasn't even soft served with creaminess. I don't know how to describe it honestly. The charcoal is citrusy flavored. We got it with a waffle cone that was already leaking in the bottom when the employee handed it to us. Hence why my significant other has napkins on the bottom of the cone. (See photo below) The charcoal is like it's almost as if they put the mixed fruity flavor in the machine but mixed with charcoal powder. The blue cookie. Where is the cookie? WHERE. IS. IT?! Again, another water based almost icy "soft served" that's not soft what so ever. I got it with the bubble waffle and Frosted Flakes as the topping. Did I mention that both the charcoal "soft served" with waffle cone and blue cookie "soft served" with a bubble waffle and Frosted Flakes topping was $21 (we tipped also to help support small businesses but sheesh) as much as I love dessert we didn't finish either of these so called treats because it just wasn't good or what others would say, "it wasn't the vibe." The server was nice she let us try different flavors but we tasted coconut in the choconut ice cream flavor and she said it was hazelnut. Boyfriend and I literally took out pieces of coconut from our taster to prove to each other that there was coconut. Again it wasn't creamy ice cream either. Lack luster ice cream. There's a better ice cream place down the road that's always a line on the weekends.

Second Visit & Still Such a Fun Dessert Spot!…read more This was our second visit here, and once again the service and ambience were very welcoming. It's a smaller dessert spot with about 3-4 tables available, but it gives off a cozy and chill vibe that we really enjoyed. This time we got the half-and-half milk and ube ice cream with taiyakis filled with: * taro * red bean * custard * cheesecake * nutella And honestly... I was really surprised that the cheesecake filling was actually delicious! Creamy, smooth, and definitely something I'd order again. The taiyaki itself was warm with that nice slight crisp on the outside, and paired perfectly with the ice cream. This is in the same tiny plaza as Golden Deli and Bopomofo, so parking can be tough at peak dinner time. The good: the taiyaki texture was nice and crunchy. The ice cream was smooth and not icy. The price is good for amount you get. The bad: the store was extremely cramped and hot. It's a very tiny shop so easily felt packed inside. I was annoyed when they called my order but I was struggling to get through the shop to get my order. By that time the employee had walked away. I was annoyed because when she came back she completely ignored me and handed someone else their order and walked away. I don't understand why they keep the completed orders way behind the counter if they don't even verify the correct person is picking up... after being skipped over twice I finally cut in and interrupted the other employee for my order and she was like oh... sorry it's melted. Like yeah it's been sitting there and I didn't want to go into the employee area to get it! That was really irritating. The ube flavor was bland. It tasted like milk, I did not get any ube flavor. The custard in the taiyaki was just okay. The worst part was that the taiyaki had a really off putting taste on the outside... almost like the aftertaste of margarine or something, it bothered me. Overall the flavor and service was lacking and the experience inside was not good. I was not impressed by any aspect and would not recommend this place unless you were already dining in this plaza and wanted to just walk over.
