Cookie Monster & Chocolate Chip Cheesecake
Xin L.

Been here a few times but never took any pictures. Service is ok, its really hot inside. I got the two scoops in a cup, the cookie monster and the chocolate chip cheesecake. They were both fire, would come back again.

Scoop size compared to spoon is almost the same size

Ordered a 2 scoop sundae and a banana split. The scoops were "baby" sized and spent almost $12 for a 3 scoop banana split that combined probably equaled to one scoop! The 2 scoop sundae was also in the smallest cup possible, barely any hot fudge.

Pistachio almond, my new favorite flavor!

I scream, you scream, lets go get ICE CREAM!! This is me every single time after lunch or dinner, always need a sweet treat. I sometime allow myself a treat or I'll just keep screaming. This Baskin-Robbins location is so old school, has been around since I was in middle school across the street ( Washington) . My complaint here would be the parking, very limited and the parking space is small, hard to get in and out when lot is full. The lines can get long here and could get confusing since the shop is small too, line could go out the door sometimes. My favorite, overall favorite flavors is always strawberry cheesecake, but I only can have one scoop! The other half tried pistachio & wow, this is good too, this is my new favorite! 2 flavors to consider if you are undecided. Oh, if you need a cake, ice cream cake- lucky there are are pre-made ones with different flavors and designs, I love the ice cream cakes from here, so expensive but a very nice treat for that special someone, I ordered a few cakes for my daughter. Thank you to the hardworking staff, scooping ice cream especially when it so busy is not a fun task. I can relate working at ice cream shop in during my HS days. hehe.. I stopped screaming, now I got my ice cream... hehe

Very small scoop. Not worth it. Get it from weighed at store. Should be 4 oz.

Ordered 6 scoops on a Friday. Young female worker seemed tired to scoop. Gave very tiny scoops. See pictures. Not worth it. When I spoke to manager Jane, she stated too late. Should have asked female worker to weigh it out in store. Should be 4 oz. Manager Jane stated will not address problem. I even brought a cooler with ice packs, got home in less than 5 minutes. Bad customer service.

Dessert before dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... I'm pretty sure my car thermometer read 91°F. Yeah - it was hot! I texted my friend, Irene, about the Buy One, Get One (BOGO) free offer from T-Mobile Tuesdays at Baskin-Robbins. She would meet me there... Yay!!! Located on the left side of King Street, right after the Kalakaua Avenue intersection, this Baskin-Robbins has a small, free, shared parking lot. Luckily, we got there before the crowd... and before the after dinner customers! I haven't been here in years because I'm lactose intolerant. Irene assured me that there would be dairy-free options... and she was right! I chose the Lemon Sorbet! It was refreshingly tart! I also got a scoop of Rainbow Sherbet because it's colorful and doesn't have as much dairy as regular ice cream! Of course, we got our kiddie scoops on sugar cones because biting those crunchy cones is so satisfying! Service was polite and efficient! The young man did tell us the disclaimer that the scoops were kiddie sized... that's why we got two scoops each! It was the perfect summer treat! Thank you, T-Mobile, Baskin-Robbins, and Irene, for making this day happier!!!

Dessert after dinner. Might as well since it's only a few steps away from where we had dinner. Green tea matcha and peanut butter ice cream and chocolate and jamoca ice cream. Service was great. Ice cream was yummy. Nice place to go after dinner.

Starting off by saying I am lactose intolerant but I love this place. If you are looking for a sweet treat after dinner or a late night snack--GO HERE. Workers are very friendly and always give generous scoops!! My favorite is the matcha ice cream that I've been having since I first tried it 10 years ago!

After dinner, we went to the Baskin-Robbins in the Mioanalua Shopping Center. Since there was no inside seating, my brother-in-law brought us to this location. We found seating for two, and a few minutes later, two more chairs became available. although it was busy, the service was fast. They have three tables with two chairs per table. atmosphere is clean and inviting. Can't go wrong having dessert here. Enjoy

Pralines "N Cream

We stopped by the other night after dinner. It wasn't busy and we were the only customers in the store. We quickly decided on what we wanted and ordered as we saw people entering the store. I got the Nutty Coconut and he got the Pralines "N Cream. I took a bite of the Pralines 'N Cream. It was too sweet for my liking, but perfect for him as he likes his sweets. I'm a savory person and would prefer less sweet. The Nutty Coconut was perfect. It wasn't sweet at all and on the creamier side. It was chock full of assorted nuts, which I like. I picked the perfect flavor for me and happily munched on it.

Yum-ohh!! Say YES to ice cream! I love Baskin-Robins as there is always a flavor for everyone! Sweet,salty,creamy,sugar-free...just get some!! Waffle cone was crispy too! So fresh and good! The service was great! Even left a tip! They were attentive and helpful! It was great to watch them move so quickly in helping everyone. Of course it's all age friendly! Great place to sit inside and enjoy your treat! Parking is easy and oh on the street parking is just as great! Fat cells definitely did the happy dance on this experience!! Go get your scoop of ice cream! I will definitely be back!

Served quickly. Friendly employees. Both got two scoop cups. Lots of delicious flavors to choose from. Reminds me of being a kid - so nostalgic. Cookies n Cream is always a top choice.

Anyone know if any Hawai'i locations have the lemon custard flavor?

YES! The Kapolei store near Longs Drugs in the shopping center along the road to Makakilo has it, or shall I say had it this past Tuesday when I walked in and ordered it! It was super delish! Get some! Get some! :D

I did have an upset moment because my gps said I would get to Asato's at 1:58 so mentally I decided "I guess I didn't need it". But... lucky for me, traffic was in my favor and there was no delays, no red lights, and a parking space right out front so I got out of the car at precisely 1:55! Whew, I checked in and ran inside, excited that I made it. Also, super happy they were not sold out. You know I also cannot just get 1 pint. I took home 2 Pumpkin Custard, a Strawberry and candied ginger (which i got for mom so she doesnt get mad that I restocked the freezer). I did a purse grab and go so fast I did not notice the duchess status until going back to the car! So woohoo! I will definitely be sure to post a photo of my homemade pumpkin pie with the homemade deliciousness of pumpkin custard sherbert later this week! Happy Thanksgiving!

Follow them via IG for more deets. My son decided to grab a random flavor from our home freezer, Super Li Hing. Without checking the freezer, I asked son, "Did you eat a few scoops or the whole pint?" He responded, "I ate the whole pint." He added, "It reminded him of eating shave ice." I will accept this as a gracious compliment. I've seen this place packed before with all tables filled and a line. Weekdays in the afternoon might be good timing! The vibe was your average "ice cream" ambiance. I loved the photos so you can see your options. IMO, the menu board lighting was a little weird, I thought when I was taking a photo it was my eyes, then thought it was the lighting from outside, but I think it's lit by bulbs? Idk. LOL. You can still read the menu but at first glance, you will question if it's your vision. LOL. My "mini" Mahalo-halo was perfect! It didn't make me feel that guilty at all. I mean, I'm all about dessert before a meal. In my experience, it is always a challenge to eat Halo halo because it's filled to the top. My strategy: take off the cover (if it's not overspilling: if it is, skip this step), eat some of the ice cream, and take a few sips! That should leave you enough room to mix everything, each scoop you should get a different bite. A long spoon would be best for the larger sizes! Magnolia did not disappoint. I'll be back!!

Sharing is caring…read more At work we discuss many topics but food seems to be high on the list. A handful of colleagues talk about the Spumoni ice cream you get from a popular US chain family restaurant. You see pistachio, cherry and chocolate ice cream but that doesn't roll with me. I've mentioned to them the Spumoni from La Gelateria but sadly no one seems to know about this place. La Gelateria started in 1981 making gelato and sorbetto. They generally are wholesale catering to restaurants and also do retail with online ordering. Their store appears to be small as there's a dedicated section for walk in purchase for grab and go. As morale has been low in the office, I decided to cheer up the mood by using my lunch break hour to grab several pints of gelato for home and picked up individual cups for my colleagues. I think the staff was thrown off by my asking of 20 Spumoni cups but they didn't have that many available so I took all 16 and added on 5 of their seasonal pumpkin and chocolate chip gelato. The staff re-rung my purchase of what I ordered via their online portal. I used the waiting time to grab spoons. After my purchase was all settled, I hopped back into my car and headed back to the office. Upon arrival badk to the office I placed my 4 pints in the freezer to take home later and then kmmediately distributed the individual cups to my colleagues. They were delightfully surprised and most of them took up on my offer. THE VERDICT: Clearly my colleagues preferred La Gelateria's Spumoni over what they've been given at the other restaurant. They immediately noticed the candied citrus bits and some dark chocolate chips. As staff were given the choice of flavor, some opted for the pumpkin chocolate chip and also got back good feedback. On average I order from La Gelateria about 1-2 a year to satisfy my Spumoni fix. I also enjoy other flavor offerings and their seasonal holiday flavors. Their superior quality of gelato has me a fan of La Gelateria where I come back for more. NOTE: Be sure to check your online order as 3 of the 4 flavors I selected were incorrect. It was easily resolved when I addressed the error to the staff who immediately corrected it.

They have dairy free too. Hubs tried the man's favorite Mac nut and I chose Kona coffee. You can order on line. It looks like a production kitchen in the back with freezers upfront labeled with the contents. $2.50 per tiny cup. They have larger sizes too but we just had lunch. Creamy, delicious, hits the spot.

All their fruit items use real fruit and I was delighted to see they had both lychee sorbet and ice cream. I haven't had sobert many times before but having spent all day in the Hawaiian heat and humidity, it sounded more enticing than ice cream. After a dinner of pasta, the idea of having a heavy/milky dessert also didn't sound appealing. I paid $10 (cash only) for a styrofoam cup of lychee sobert. Upon retrieving it from the freezer, I was surprised at how solid and frozen it felt. I was planning to eat it back at my hotel which was a 10 minute walk away, so I wasn't bummed at how frozen it was. It didn't melt in the slightest despite it still being mid 70s outside. The sorbert was INCREDIBLE. With the small bite of lychee scattered within the sorbert, it tasted exactly like a frozen lychee. Instead of digging my spoon in like ice cream, I scraped away at it. It was icy and so refreshing; exactly what I needed after battling the heat all day. And I didn't feel guilty eating it! My only regret is finding out that this place was only around the block from Roy's Waikiki, where I had dinner the previous night and was left unsatisfied by their chocolate souffle. Had I know Henry's was so close, I would have had the lychee sorbert 2 days in a row. I will definitely be back!!
