Starting off by saying I am lactose intolerant but I love this place. If you are looking for a sweet treat after dinner or a late night snack--GO HERE. I scream, you scream, lets go get ICE CREAM!! This is me every single time after lunch or dinner, always need a sweet treat. I sometime allow myself a treat or I'll just keep screaming. This Baskin-Robbins location is so old school, has been around since I was in middle school across the street ( Washington) . My complaint here would be the parking, very limited and the parking space is small, hard to get in and out when lot is full. The lines can get long here and could get confusing since the shop is small too, line could go out the door sometimes. My favorite, overall favorite flavors is always strawberry cheesecake, but I only can have one scoop! The other half tried pistachio & wow, this is good too, this is my new favorite! 2 flavors to consider if you are undecided. Oh, if you need a cake, ice cream cake- lucky there are are pre-made ones with different flavors and designs, I love the ice cream cakes from here, so expensive but a very nice treat for that special someone, I ordered a few cakes for my daughter. Thank you to the hardworking staff, scooping ice cream especially when it so busy is not a fun task. I can relate working at ice cream shop in during my HS days. hehe.. Ordered 6 scoops on a Friday. Young female worker seemed tired to scoop. Gave very tiny scoops. See pictures. Not worth it. When I spoke to manager Jane, she stated too late. Should have asked female worker to weigh it out in store. Should be 4 oz. Manager Jane stated will not address problem. I even brought a cooler with ice packs, got home in less than 5 minutes. Bad customer service. read more
Dessert after dinner. Might as well since it's only a few steps away from where we had dinner. Green tea matcha and peanut butter ice cream and chocolate and jamoca ice cream. Service was great. Ice cream was yummy. Nice place to go after dinner. read more

Dessert before dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... I'm pretty sure my car thermometer read 91°F. Yeah - it was hot! I texted my friend, Irene, about the Buy One, Get One (BOGO) free offer from T-Mobile Tuesdays at Baskin-Robbins. She would meet me there... Yay!!! Located on the left side of King Street, right after the Kalakaua Avenue intersection, this Baskin-Robbins has a small, free, shared parking lot. Luckily, we got there before the crowd... and before the after dinner customers! I haven't been here in years because I'm lactose intolerant. Irene assured me that there would be dairy-free options... and she was right! I chose the Lemon Sorbet! It was refreshingly tart! I also got a scoop of Rainbow Sherbet because it's colorful and doesn't have as much dairy as regular ice cream! Of course, we got our kiddie scoops on sugar cones because biting those crunchy cones is so satisfying! Service was polite and efficient! The young man did tell us the disclaimer that the scoops were kiddie sized... that's why we got two scoops each! It was the perfect summer treat! After dinner, we went to the Baskin-Robbins in the Mioanalua Shopping Center. Since there was no inside seating, my brother-in-law brought us to this location. We found seating for two, and a few minutes later, two more chairs became available. although it was busy, the service was fast. They have three tables with two chairs per table. atmosphere is clean and inviting. Can't go wrong having dessert here. Enjoy read more
We stopped by the other night after dinner. It wasn't busy and we were the only customers in the store. We quickly decided on what we wanted and ordered as we saw people entering the store. I got the Nutty Coconut and he got the Pralines "N Cream. I took a bite of the Pralines 'N Cream. It was too sweet for my liking, but perfect for him as he likes his sweets. I'm a savory person and would prefer less sweet. The Nutty Coconut was perfect. It wasn't sweet at all and on the creamier side. It was chock full of assorted nuts, which I like. I picked the perfect flavor for me and happily munched on it. read more

Yum-ohh!! Say YES to ice cream! I love Baskin-Robins as there is always a flavor for everyone! Sweet,salty,creamy,sugar-free...just get some!! Waffle cone was crispy too! So fresh and good! The service was great! Even left a tip! They were attentive and helpful! It was great to watch them move so quickly in helping everyone. Of course it's all age friendly! Great place to sit inside and enjoy your treat! Parking is easy and oh on the street parking is just as great! Fat cells definitely did the happy dance on this experience!! Update on Baskin Robbins King St. There finally open again they originally was close due to renovations. New flooring and now they have a display case showing different types of cones they offer . From waffle, sugar , regular and also toppings. Had to purchase some ice cream for my sister in law birthday tonight so I got their pre-pack mint chocolate chip old school . Classic spot and love the different flavor options, staff is friendly most times. They just renovated so it's easier for kids to see what they want. The most recent time we went there was one worker. She left the ice cream doors open so the ice cream was soft and kind of melted. Not sure if that what they're going for now or she just wanted the ice cream to scoop easier, but if I wanted melted ice cream I could have just bout it cheaper at the store and waited till I got home to eat it. I also ordered a triple scoop in a cup since I was sharing with my husband and we don't mind if the flavors mix. She asked us if we wanted an extra cup and I said sure why not. But the reason she asked is that was because she wanted to charge us for a double and single scoop. I only realized after my husband paid that she charged us separately (which it was already too late). This experience overall was very negative that I won't be coming here for a while since there's so many better ice cream/dessert options I can choose from. read more
Well, sadly, it is time for an update. Since my last review about this place, there has been a major change. This place now serves more air than ice cream, and for that, my dears, is cause for a change of that review to 2 stars. To explain: When you buy your ice cream, take it to your car to drive off, log down your mileage into your phone, then drive off with your three scoops of ice cream held in a cup in your hand, but then realize you had not eaten one scoop yet the original three scoops you purchased have now slightly melted down to half the visual amount, NASA, we have a problem-o. Confused, I ate the ice cream and thought about this experience all the way home. At home, I called to speak with the manager who divulged that they weigh all of their scoops. I have to tell you that not once did I see my cup being weighed which I explained to this manager who replied, sorry, I would have to call the mainland for assistance about how I am allowed to help you. Well, he called back saying he could offer 10% off my next visit. Which I used during my next visit. However, I experienced the same exact melting problem so I figure this problem is just majorly systemic beginning at the top. Nobody gonna fix this, not even little ole me. In all seriousness, if you seriously have to stare down micromanage whether the scooping technique these servers use actually involves any honest packing down of the ice cream into the ice cream scoop that will eventually be put into your cup, this is just going way overboard. You are not gonna enjoy any hard-earned scoops of ice cream while you are hashing it out with that ice cream store manager where that ice cream server works about how a normal honest human being should be seen honestly scooping ice cream. Do you see the level of trust it takes to buy ice cream from one of these places? Folks, if you don't mind being swindled into paying for a three scoop cup of ice cream for NINE+ DOLLARS, yet it melts down to HALF by the time you get into your car, maybe reconsider your choice of buying your ice cream here. Further, if you think that the money you earn by working at a job should be wisely spent, my humble freeeeeee advice is this: Do NOT EVEN THINK TO USE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE. IT's a waste of brain cells. When the manager doesn't even get "it," you know there's just no more hope. Plus, I'm confident you can find other better ways to be swindled from your money that are a lot more honest, and just a lot more fun :/ In any case, find yourself a better, actual honest place to buy ice cream where you will conserve brain cells and have a better time enjoying the fruits of your hard earned ice cream. read more

What's there not to like- service is great and the app makes it even more affordable. You get a free scoop for your birthday as well as up to 5 other family members! Such an awesome experience. Plus the app sends you new easy to use coupons all the time. The 31st of each month they offer deals on their 31 flavors each month and they also have new flavors- up to 2- each month. This month we had the epic turkey day fixing and the apple cider donuts. The turkey day fixing although we thought it was weird had sweet potato ice cream with swirls of cranberry and cranberry peices and Autum spice. Soooo good! The parking isn't the best but at least there is some and it's free! read more
I don't know how I've gone this long without looking at the actual menu at Baskin Robbins. I have only gotten scoops of ice cream before, until recently. I got a shake with jamoca almond fudge. If anyone hasn't ordered a shake before, you just tell them what flavor of ice cream you want blended in. My shake was rich and delicious! I will definitely be ordering shakes more often. read more

You can never go wrong with a stop for ice cream after dinner! Service is quick even though the entire place was packed at 8pm on a Thursday night. There isn't much seating inside, but a lot of people hang out outside to eat. The parking lot is pretty small, but there was lots of street parking available at night when we went. read more
Happiest heavenly birthday Daddy!! Yes it's today and though it's been years the memories of us celebrating is always still there as all he wanted was to just do take out and eat at home. Not a cake person but did like sweets thought a ice cream in his memory would be cool during these hot summer days. Scanning the 31 flavors one instantly came to me..."Oreo 'n Cold Brew" he LOVED his morning coffee and worked for Nabisco what a strange combo but was something that totally embodied him. This flavor was made from real cold brew concentrate sprinkled with Oreo and I got it as a banana royale, with bananas and all the standard toppings this was truly heavenly bliss! Thank you daddy for all that you do, I really love and miss you and hope you enjoyed this treat as well. Thank you!! read more

I wanted to give this place a few visits before writing a review, and now I'm ready. And I've got to say, it has a lot going for it! In summary, I have never seen them not busy, but they are always well-staffed, and they do a great job filling orders quickly. It is kind of crazy and definitely impressive how constant the stream of people is who come here. When I go out for ice cream, I often go for some kind of sundae because I usually don't have all the fixings for that at home. The brownie sundae is a good fit for me because it comes with 2 scoops of ice cream, a syrup (chocolate/caramel), whipped cream, another topping (e.g. I always go for the rainbow sprinkles), as well as peanuts and a cherry on top. Some of my favorite flavors are the strawberry, tax crunch (a coffee ice cream with crunchy boys), and chocolate chip. Parking is limited but theres always been a couple of spaces when I go, usually on weekday evenings. read more

Baskin-Robbins, one of the oldest ice cream companies in the US, has so many varieties of ice cream, it's delicious! This ice cream store is very popular in Hawaii and is loved by people of all ages. Baskin-Robbins has made more than 1,200 different kinds of ice cream, but only about 32 are available at any given time. It's nice to be able to have your favorite ice cream in your favorite cone, waffle, or simply in a cup! I'm not a big fan of sweets, but I like Baskin-Robbins ice cream because it's not too sweet, just sweet enough for me. Quick service. I inquired about which cakes were Oreo ice cream cakes and got the small size for around $32 with candles. It's around $60 for the bigger ice cream cake. If I get ice cream it's usually pistachio or the nutty coconut in a pint. They have a lot of flavors to choose from so go bananas! read more
Okay I've only been to Baskin-Robbins once in my life in high school and I hated it because it tasted super artificial and too sweet for my liking. On my most recent visit, I was tempted to give it another try after T-Mobile Tuesdays sent me a $5 coupon for ice cream. I got the double scoop of the Pistachio Almond and Mint Chip, and paid about an extra $1.60 after the coupon. $6 for a cup of ice cream is pretty expensive in my eyes, but compared to my first visit, I thoroughly enjoyed these flavors. The Pistachio Almond did taste a little artificial but it wasn't super sweet and didn't leave the fake sugar taste in my mouth which I was thankful for. Bonus points for the generous amount of whole almonds scattered throughout. The Mint Chip wasn't super minty and again they were very generous with the amount of thin chocolate shavings that they added. read more

Even though we live not far from Baskin-Robbins, we've come only a handful of times in the last few years. Last Saturday I went to Five Star Nails on a whim to get a much-delayed pedicure/some self-indulgence. It was almost 7pm by the time my session was finished, and dark outside. I noticed a flurry of activity in the parking lot-- many cars entering and many cars leaving. I thought maybe it's for Loving Hut and i-naba, except it wasn't! Turns out a lot of people wanted ice cream that night, including the people in the vehicle parked next to mine. And because I have a tendency to patronize neighboring shops, I decided to check them out after placing my takeout order at Loving Hut. They have COVID guidelines in place, including distance markers on the floor (although...do patrons really pay attention to that when their mind is on ice cream?), no ice cream sampling, and a limit of 6 customers in the store. They've removed all the tables and chairs as well. I eventually decided on two scoops-- cherries jubilee and chocolate (skipped the other two chocolate flavors coz there was white chocolate in it). Both flavors were good together. I am guessing Cherries Jubilee is BR's version of rum and raisin. The chocolate was rich but not crazy sweet. Both scoops seem pretty big but for $6++ (cost of a pint of Haagen Dazs and/or specialty ice creams) I guess that's about right! Service was attentive, polite, and efficient. Each of the three staff working that night attended to me while I was perusing flavors. Someone came in without a mask on, and the staff immediately called him out, firmly but politely, if he had a mask. (Turns out he forgot and apologized as he fished his mask out of his pocket.) The King St. double-door entrance was closed/locked, so all traffic went thru the single door facing the lot. It would have been more spacious and more comfortable if they did it the other way; there is no way to be 6-feet apart at the single door if someone's at the freezer looking at ice creams. Also, what if there was an emergency and evacuation was necessary? Also, the staff leaned on the freezer and hunched over my cup of ice cream while answering my questions. If not for their mask, I'd have been a lot more grossed out. Overall a solid four stars. read more

We've seen several good ice cream places that have sadly not withstood the test of time, but Baskin Robbins has been here ever since I remember. There's a newspaper article displayed in the shop that says our former president Barack Obama worked there during his days at Punahou. What an illustrious ice cream shop! I've written about this place a few times, we always get our Birthday cakes here. Last week we bought a white cake with half matcha ice cream and half coffee ice cream. This was the Queen of ice cream cakes, not too sweet, but cold and refreshing in this hot weather. We also picked up a mangonada and a double scoop of ice cream. This is our favorite ice cream place. read more

Actually bought this a week ago. When I grabbed it to cool off on a hot day, I was shocked to find it mushy because there was no ice cream in those areas. Hand packed from BR is not cheap and this was a splurge. The taller person helped another and let me tell you, I would rather have had the first person complete it. I'm just upset. Service is key, this was horrible. To the first person to help us, thank you for a job well done, you deserve 4 stars. read more

YES! The Kapolei store near Longs Drugs in the shopping center along the road to Makakilo has it, or shall I say had it this past Tuesday when I walked in and ordered it! It was super delish! Get some! Get some! :D
