Worst ever experience at BR, ever. In fact the ONLY bad experience at BR ever. We went in to the Stetson store we always go to, ever since it opened many years ago, and the young boy working there went beyond rude. He argued with my husband about the weight of ice cream, ignoring other customers, with a smirk on his face like he was auditioning for the gong show. I wasn't paying attention at first, but when he began to get louder, and my husband go louder, I was shocked. I used to work at Baskin Robbins when I was a high-schooler too, but never, ever would I or any other employee have gotten away with such antics. It would have resulted in instant termination. Fortunately, there is another BR nearer our new house, so we will be going there from now on. The employee's behavior was inexcusable. His manner was rude. I think he said his name was Steven, but if that is not correct, I'm sorry. I went to this location to order an ice cream cake and another specialty item for a birthday. The doors were locked. Its 12:45pm on a Monday afternoon. I waited for about an hour, but no one showed up. No sign on the door, and the hours weren't even posted in the window, yet it shows online that the store is supposed to be open at that time. I called corporate, and after a 34 minute wait, I was finally connected to an associate. She states that all Baskin Robbins are privately franchised and they did not have any reason or notification that this location would be closed. She advised that she would contact the manager and have them call me back. The manager called me back two hours later. She advised that she was going to try and open the store at 5pm (same day), "maybe". MAYBE?? This is a business, correct? When I asked if she would be open on next Sunday, when I needed my order, she again said "maybe" and then asked me if I wanted to order right now. How am I supposed to order and pay without even knowing if I'll receive my order on the day its needed? Absolutely ridiculous. Is this really how you run a business? While I was waiting, I witnessed at least 5 people go to the door, only to discover the shop was closed and no signs were posted. Being the only BR in this town, maybe you should hire some employees to handle the business if you aren't able to. Also, from reading the other reviews, it seems as this is not a first for this location. I guess Cold Stone, who is open and dependable, will get my business. read more

I come to the Hemet location at least every two to three months, since my parents live less than a mile away. I went to this location this time because I always pick up Dunkin Donuts coffee when I'm in town. This time, there was a sign that clearly said 2 Dunkin Donuts K cups for 19.99. I decided to take four boxes. When I got up to pay the woman told me that it would be $51.96. I pointed to the sign out and she said that she didn't know because she didn't work at that location. I asked her why she could not just honor with the advertised price. She called her manager on the phone and I apologized for holding up the line. The other customers responded with comments about me being in the right and one woman said to the cashier, "I can't believe you won't just give it to her." That woman stormed out of the location. After getting ahold of her manager, she told me that they should have taken the sign down and they couldn't honor the price. I think the advertised price should be honored and respectable practices should have taken place. I canceled my order and snapped a picture of the sign. I also asked the woman for the contact information for her manager. She gave me the phone number for the store and told me the manager would be in after five. I called and left a message, then I called again when a woman answered the phone. She told me the manager didn't come in but he would call me back within the next 30 to 40 minutes. Unfortunately, the manager never called me back. I just hate cheapskate management that doesn't offer good customer service. The sign was clearly marked and they should've just given me the advertised price. After reading the most recent reviews, it appears I'm not the only noticing this location's deplorable service. I frequent Baskin Robbins, along with many other establishments, to pick up gift cards for my students. My first few visits proved a bit unsettling when the team members had to rummage through - I kid you not - 30 different gift cards before stumbling on one that would actually scan (not going to lie, that alone made me a little apprehensive about giving the gift cards to my students). During my visit tonight, I was told that gift cards could only be purchased with cash, and when I facetiously asked, "Since when?," the young lady muttered, "Since we've been under new management." In an age where consumers are using cash-free means to make purchases more and more, I didn't understand why this "new management" set forth such passé payment stipulations. Crunched for time, I pulled out a bill to which I was told they couldn't break it. Homegirl even had the audacity to ask me to go next door to Subway to break the bill.
