Twix ice cream cone and Chocolate Moosy ice cream cone.
Brenda M.

Ice cream was delicious! Cones weren't the best. Inside was nice, clean and quiet. The staff was fine. They were out of milk which was disappointing because my husband wasn't able to get a milkshake. One of the employees walked in has we were getting ready to leave and her work tshirt was wrinkled and dirty with ice cream spots. It was a very short work tshirt. No professional for a customer service type of job in my opinion.

German chocolate cake

Yum. I love Baskin Robbins. Today I tried two of their seasonal flavors; winter white chocolate and German chocolate. I opted for the German chocolate, however both were delicious. Other favorite flavors for my family and me are: peanut butter and chocolate, jamocoa almond fudge, pistachio, and butter pecan. They are not stingy with the samples and their cakes are really good.

I didn't order an ice cream cake or do anything complicated. I showed up on a Sunday night with my 81-year old mom and my brother for a rare ice cream outing. It was crunch time when we got there and crowded. It apparently had been busy for a while as the floor on the customer side of the ice cream display had some napkins and tasting spoons on the floor. When you are standing in line there is no menu of flavors and you have to depart the line and move up and down the display case to see the variety of ice cream which is awkward for people who think you're trying to cut into their space. That being said, the young ladies behind the counter juggled drive-thru and counter well, moved people along well and engaged the customers with energy. I honestly felt like I was back in high school -- and I think my mom did too. She loved her daquiri ice and left smiling ear to ear. Something about the experience took me back to the 70's when Baskin-Robbins was the destination ice cream place for everyone. Well done.

What she got. They Nailed It? NOT!!!

My sister in law chose Baskin Robbins for their quality and ordered an ice cream cake for Mother's Day. She went to the driveup to pick it up. What they handed her looked NOTHING like the online picture. It was very sloppy looking. She handed it back and said this was supposed to say Happy Mother's Day. Please write that on the cake. They handed it back and she drove off to get it home so it wouldn't melt. When she got home she couldn't believe her eyes. They spelled Mother wrong! Seriously! The frosting and ice cream tasted freezer burned and the cake was stale tasting. Very disappointed. Franchisee would only offer $10 credit. She wants a full refund. This cake was a hot mess and very poor quality. These are not cheap cakes! Very poor customer service. We will never go back. Posting pictures of what the nice online cake was supposed to look like and the picture of disaster she was handed. That cake looked like one of the memes from Nailed It. Shameful!

Expectations vs. reality

I'm gonna have to only give 2 stars because I just picked up a cake and it's definitely not what I was expecting or requested. Wrong shape (square not circle), wrong name on cake which isn't a huge deal but I know I gave them the right name (Tasia not Trisha), it's even on the order paper. Idk what was going on but whoever did the cake was FAR off

The staff was not helpful. All the males that were working that evening show the expression "I hate my job". The order board in front of the cashier is only for drinks and shakes I believe. You can not use it to order ice cream. They ran out of the bubble waffle cone, and so that limited us to only being able to order scoops of ice cream which wasn't that big of deal. There are two different registers because in my opinion it looks to be two different businesses in one building. Their is a handful of chairs and tables to sit down once you ordered your dessert. Volume was little louder than I would have expected by the number of people that were inside the store. When my family and I went into the store. We do not recommend and we will not be returning for any future visits. -HoneyCone (color is purple and as a good favor) -Cookies n cream (nothing to be excited about taste just like any other brand cookies n cream ice cream) - Strawberry Shortcake (not a fan of the strawberry shortcake... No real fruit inside it is strawberry syrup.) -Toasted Marshmellow -Birthday Cake (not a fan because this didn't taste like "birthday cake" it tastes like vanilla with sprinkles and icing mix in)

My baby boy has grown up and is soon to attend Southwestern Uni. He loves all things anime, including fun foods of Asia, so bubble tea and related treats are in regular rotation. We just had to try out Nivi during SU orientation and were not disappointed. Know this: it's hard to find in the massive Wolf Ranch shopping center on the southwest corner of IH35 & Hwy 29. Nivi is co-located with bubble tea shop, Sharetea, so look for that signage between GNC and SuperCuts. The order & pay counters are separate, but they do have some menu items that seem to share products (ex: matcha soft serve). During our visit, we had to wait in line & pay twice since we wanted both ice cream and bubble tea. Nivi staff are super sweet and will let you have a sample taste of any of the ice creams and soft serves. I loved their eco-friendly reusable sample spoons. We loved everything that we tried but I settled on a 1-scoop cup of mango ice cream ($6.16) - soooo rich and tasty, full of fresh fruit flavor. Next time, I'll add ripe mango chunks on top. The full menu includes: * 11 premium flavors handmade with a rich 14% fat mix from Wisconsin dairy farms * 4 soft serve flavors including Ube & Matcha * 8 soft serve creations with toppings and swirls * 12 Bubble Waffles, loaded with premium soft serve ice cream * Milkshakes * Assorted candies, syrups, fruits, nuts, and whipped toppings for upcharge What else is special about Nivi? Natural ingredients sourced from across the globe:  - Rose Pistachio is made with rose essence from Belgium  - Salted Caramel has French sea salt  - Real fresh fruit in Mango & Strawberry ice creams  - Ube Honeycomb made with homemade honeycomb chunks A note on price: it ain't cheap. These products are hand made with the highest quality ingredients, some of them imported under our current dumb tariff policies. Think of this as a splurge treat and expect to pay accordingly. The mural on the wall was interesting, colorful, and loved it. Mini chocolate covered strawberry was the prefect amount for a dessert. I enjoyed the chocolate flavor of the ice cream. The strawberry flavor is the red you see in the picture. The texture and consistency of the flavored was SLUSH/SNOWCONE type. You can add toppings or most of the menu items comes with some type of topping. Sprinkles Whipped cream Chocolate Chunks M&M Oreo Cookie Graham cracker and much much more options are available. Small was strawberry shortcake minus "cake". It was a pretty good size. I would recommend this size for an adult. And children/teenages/or people that eat lite meals the Mini is better size. In the picture you will see the same strawberry like slushy/snowcone type layered with vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with graham cracker crumbles. I could have gone without the Graham crackers because that isn't anything close to the taste or flavor or "cake". Personally I wouldn't go back because I am not a fan of mixing slushy with my ice cream, but I do recommend if you havent had one or tried it at least go once because it is different and I can see other people falling in love with these desserts. ***WINTER AND SUMMER BUSINESS HOURS ARE DIFFERENT.***

In Tyler, my spot was a standard Andy's. In Lubbock, there's J's Creamery. In Georgetown, that spot is Frozen Flamingo. Frankly, custard is far superior to ice cream. This is my review, so I'm right for the next few paragraphs. Custard is far superior to ice cream. Frozen Flamingo knows what they're doing with the concretes and the sundaes. The space is cute. There's a definite tropical vibe going on with the wooden chairs, the straw umbrellas, the string lights, and the potted plants. It's selling its aesthetic, and the branding clicks once you see the front of the space. There's total charm here. In front of me, I watched a kid get some sort of concrete with gummy eyeballs on top. I then watched him drop one of the eyes, ask for another, and immediately drop the new one. This doesn't help the review. It was just really funny. I went for a small, create-your-own concrete with Oreo on vanilla custard. No need to reinvent the wheel. One thing I noticed looking at the menu was how many options they have. Concretes, sundaes, shakes, cones, floats, frozen daiquiris, frozen lemonades, and frozen margaritas. Most places only focus on custard, but the beverage side could definitely speak to me on the right evening. They do run a little slow, at least during my visit, but not enough to shift the energy I was feeling. Once I got the custard, I thought it was great. Your standard affair. Better than ice cream. It's a place where you can hit the drive-thru and take your sweets home, or step aside and really take in your friendships, your life, and your well-being by living in the moment. The Frozen Flamingo is a place of love. And eyeballs that a kid drops.
