First time I went to this Location in Ewa Pointe Marketplace next to Dominoes. It was like your typical BR with 2 workers who greeted me. The store is nice, modern, clean, has nice lighting & ambiance. Extra cool touch with the wall personalization saying "Be Happier Ewa Beach" I got 1 scoop rainbow sherbet (my fave since kid days) & 1 scoop wild reckless sherbet with whipped cream. My son got cotton candy flavor. Yumz! They have delicious ice cream cakes that we grew up on for each family members birthday. Sadly we downgraded to grocery store ice cream cakes bc BR price increases. But if you wanna buy a BR cake, they have ready made ones in a variety of sizes, flavors & designs (holiday themed are fun). You can also ask the counter help, order online or in the app too. I saw a touch screen kiosk that you can view cakes from too, not sure if you can order from it tho. I don't go to BR often because it's gotten more & more expensive thru the years & thankfully I don't have a sweet tooth! But I know where to go when I get that craving! FINALLY.. Remembered it was $6 banana split Wednesday. Upon entering the store I was greeted, with "Hello." Employees were pleasant & friendly. However, a recommendation for employees is to be aware of the order that customers come into the store and helped in that order. $6 Banana splits were delicious, the bananas were fresh and generous amount of toppings; nuts, sauces, and whipped cream. Took my granddaughter and she LOVED the cotton candy and Wild & Reckless Sherbet (what kid wouldn't) and I loved the very strawberry and Jamoca. My daughter loved the Jamoca with fudge so we were all very happy campers. Gina was our server and she was very accommodating and we appreciated her friendly attitude. Time for cheat day and decided on some ice cream. It was perfect as it was in the same shopping center where we picked up dinner. The inside was well lit with a few tables for sitting. They had many items ready for purchase as well. They had cakes and quarts of ice cream in their freezer with candles also available for purchase. We walked in and the two employees immediately greeted us. They were very friendly and also offered samples. Each of them helped us which made our order move faster. They had a variety of flavors and the iice cream did not disappoint. My wife & I went here after a long days work to wind down and enjoy some ice cream but what a horrible experience we had. I'm writing this review to warn others and beware. . I can't understand if the customers are deciding on what they want why would we be rushed & talked to with a bad attitude they close at 10pm & we were there at 9:30pm. There's this 1 young woman employee that's ridiculously RUDE.... This particular employee I wasn't able to get her name but she had fake eyelashes..... I don't frequent ice cream shops very often since I try to limit my dairy intake, but the Baskin-Robbins app offered me a very compelling coupon deal of buy-one-get-one-free. So here I am lol. They have an extremely limited dairy-free option (only 1 ice cream in this location), which I am hoping they will expand in the near future. Wouldn't it be great if they also offered a natural sugar-free (stevia or monk fruit) option as well? One can hope! I ordered a 2 scoop hot fudge sundae, the customer in front of me ordered a single scoop. This baskin Robbin's uses a big scooper & small brown bowl for the single then when it came my turn for them to make the 2 scoop sundae they used a smaller scooper in the same small brown bowl as the single. If I'm paying $8 for a 2 scoop sundae it should be the same scooper they used for the single & in the bigger bowl! When I questioned it they said oh you want it in a bigger bowl so I said yes! They just put it in a bigger bowl with the same small scoops so I said I also wanted to bigger scoop too since I'm paying the price. So next time I went in same thing! Wish I took a picture but my 2 scoop sundae and banana Royale were pitiful. Both were supposed to have 2 scoops of ice cream but I guess the boy couldn't manage to get an actual scoop. The 2 scoops together couldn't even make a round scoop. He used the whipped cream to make it look big but when I got home the whipped cream deflated and we were left with a less than a scoop of ice cream for what was supposed to be 2 scoops. Went here few nights ago, about 10 -15 minutes before closing. I totally understand that it was before closing and they might be low on a few items but they were pretty low on about half of the flavors! After finally figuring out what we wanted after asking for different flavors about 3 times, I then asked for a shake. They said they are not doing any more drinks. I then asked for a root beer float (they usually just end up scooping ice cream in a cup then grabbing whatever soda from the case in the front) and they didn't even have vanilla ice cream. They were out of Oreo, vanilla, cotton candy, Reese's, etc! I used to come here all the time a few years back and no matter how late it was I was never told that they were no longer doing drinks or that they were out of so many different flavors. I've always come to love Baskin Robbins Ice Cream, since it provides a lasting value of ice cream I've grown up with. With the rise of homemade ice cream parlors in recent years, it's tough to find good ice cream when you know hand cranked home made stuff is totally legit too. Still, Baskin Robbins has been with us for a while and a mainstay for decades. At least that's what I remember it to be. I arrived here after 2pm on a Monday afternoon in Ewa Beach. I just had finished lunch with a friend of mine and she went off to buy something at the Vape store nearby and I wanted ice cream. Enter Baskin Robbins for 5 minutes and here I was. The entire experience was fast and awesome, especially when they have chocolate or a variation thereof. After saying hi to the server, I looked over the selections and quickly made my choice. Being that I am a chocolate whore, no question that chocolate was on my mind and I ended up getting a 2 scooper that costed about $8 with tax. While that can be expensive, when a pint could have more variety for the price, I figured that I didn't want to eat that much anyway. For the most part though, the visit to Baskin Robbins here in Ewa Beach was well worth the trip. The overall experience here at this Baskin Robbins location in Ewa Beach was quite nice, cozy, and casual. It was nice that I got in and out without any problems, although you'd have to wear a face mask and socially distance wherever possible. Thankfully, I didn't have to socially distance, due to the fact that nobody was there inside the store besides me on a Monday afternoon. The store itself was clean and magnificent. It's an ice cream parlor after all, was decorated with the usual Baskin Robbins logo and other things that make you want to buy some ice cream. Once my friend came back from the Vape shop and entered the store, I was in the middle of paying when I saw my her. I asked if she wanted anything and she proceeded to tell the clerk her order. I eventually comped my friend's purchase, since she helped me getting from Kaimuki to Ewa Beach for the day. She ended up having double scoop of mint chocolate chip, which was interesting. We left the store having ice cream and it turned out to be a good day, especially when you hit up Baskin Robbins. The prices here, as mentioned before, were about the same as it's like with everywhere else. $4.00 ish for a single & $6.50 ish for a double scoop. Roughly $10 for a pint. I didn't want the pint that day, since I would have eaten way more than I should. Even though, Baskin Robbins is a good place to get your ice cream fix. I surely recommend coming here if you are in the area and want that awesomeness after a meal or just because. This Baskin Robbins location is located at 91-1001 Kaimaile Street in the Ewa Pointe Shopping Center. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. In this age of COVID-19 pandemic, credit cards are readily preferred. Face masks are required when entering the store, as well as social distancing where appropriate. As far as parking options go, best bet would be to come here on non peak days to secure good parking. The Ewa Pointe Shopping Center does have plenty of parking spot here, but it can get crowded during the daytime hours. If you are like me, best bet would be to travel on Country Express "E" towards Ewa Beach and try to see if the bus passes by or near the Ewa Pointe Shopping center from Ala Moana shopping Center / downtown Honolulu. Quite the quick way to the west side from town, unless you want to ride route 40 or 42. Best bet for your daily ice cream fix. Come often and try them all. When we inquired about this, hoping to understand their service policy, the situation quickly deteriorated. An employee, responded to our questions and comments about leaving a review regarding this policy in a highly unprofessional manner. She told us to leave the store, using inappropriate language while refusing to serve us. Her demeanor was not only aggressive but also disrespectful, especially towards my wife, repeatedly calling her offensive names. (B1TCH and Karen.) We asked to speak to the manager on the phone as he was not present, and her response was, "Yeah, ok, the Manager is my boyfriend, B1tcH." This was all in the presence of our 8-year-old daughter and other customers. As a family-friendly establishment, such behavior is unacceptable and tarnishes the Baskin Robbins brand. As a result of this experience, my family and I have decided not to return to this location. I believe it's essential for corporate to begin to deal with this location as it is obvious from other reviews there is a recurring problem with its employees and management. Being that I'm not a big fan of ice cold cream sweets it's really hard to find a flavor that I'll enjoy. They do have a large assortment to choose from and you can sample as many as you like ! (Awesome). After a couple samples I decided to go with the very Berry strawberry. Went with a kids cup since I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it all. Being that it was under $4 for a scoop it isn't that bad. My lady is a bit more adventurous when it comes to sweets and she really enjoys the ice cream here !
