This is my favorite Baskin Robin location. There is a constant flow of people who come and go. There is indoor seating and they even have a drive through. This is the only ice cream place that I know of that you can order ice cream in your car. The flavors are the same everywhere, but the customer service here is great. They let you know about the sizes and they give plenty of sprinkles on your scoops. There are many different types of cones too. They have your regular cake, sugar, and waffle cones, but they also have red velvet waffle and sugar cones! I never eat ice cream, but I tried to fix my bad sushi dinner with ice cream. Why? It was cold, and it reminded me of London. One time in London, I got ice cream after sushi and it was SO GOOD. But everyone goes to places like this when they were a kid. I remember walking from my house to this store with my best friend when we were 11 or 12 and finally allowed to roam around by ourselves. We scraped all our change together and got a scoop of Cherries Jubilee, and sat on sticky chairs to escape the sticky summer heat outside. This time I couldn't decide between Cherries Jubilee and Mint Chocolate Chip, so I got two kids scoops of each on one of those chocolate-dipped kid's cones with jimmies. Sprinkles ? Jimmies is just so funny. The ice cream was fine, but that freaking cone was AWFUL. It tasted like Styrofoam. And the whole time I was sitting there eating my ice cream, I was staring at the sign for those cakes with the photos on them. It's usually a bunch of kids working there but the service is always fast and friendly. The store is clean and they always seem to have everything I want in stock. If you expect to use the Los Altos HS Eagle Card at this store be careful how you order because the the guy serving (Jim) is very petty and pedantic. The card says that if you buy one scoop then you get one scoop free - a good deal - so I thought I'd take the team I'd been coaching for a celebratory ice-cream. I told the team about the offer so that they could have two scoops for the price on one. However, when I met Jim at the counter he said that two scoops in one container meant a double and did not qualify for the offer, so you had to pay for a double. To qualify for the offer you had to take two single scoops in separate containers and then you only have to pay for one scoop. This is a well run branch of the famous ice cream chain. I love this particular store. It's very clean and most importantly I find that the people that work there are always polite, professional and HELPFUL! We just went to get ice cream as a reward for my kid. We ordered single scoop(pink peppermint) and the lady (not blonde hair) gave us tiny scoop (like a golf ball size). When we almost finished it and saw other customers coming in, we found that the other lady or guy is way more generous to give regular size of scoop (tennis ball size).
