Nothing like stopping at 31 Flavors after a satisfying meal. The shoppe on Karan Road was only minutes away and open till 10! The two kids working looked like they enjoyed it and happily served up tastes of the new flavors. I loved the new Coconut and teamed it with old favorites, pistachio and chocolate, for the perfect sundae; topped with warm chocolate fudge, marshmallow sauce, whipped cream and a cherry on top (what will they do when they ban whatever makes the cherry so red!) ! This is wild ha I had never been to a baskin robins before wow I actually was shocked. I took my kids as a celebration for their last day of school and we were actually wow-ed. Maybe my assumptions/expectations were low but it was immaculate so clean. Very organized as well. They have a lot of flavors like three sections full so many we were overwhelmed (in a good way) and there were like 5 types of cones. Good toppings not like an exceptional offering but the basics got the job done. We loved all our flavors not a drop was left and they even had two non dairy flavors for us. This is one of our favorite local spots to come. I'm not sure why reviews are so mixed, but it's an ice cream store with typical ice cream store service. If you love baskin Robbins flavors, you get them all here. They also have cakes and pints to purchase to take home. The store is clean, and in the two dozen times we have been here, the staff is always helpful and courteous. My kids are always happy campers when they get this treat! Their ice cream is good but I've never felt inclined to leave a review until my experience last night. I went in to order a shake for my boyfriend who hasn't been feeling well. There was a pretty large group of kids in there and a couple of their parents, maybe 12 people total. I have anxiety and ended up feeling very overwhelmed and had to step out until they all left. I went back in and tried to keep my composure but started having a bit of a panic attack. Right as I was trying to order I started crying a little bit and I apologized. The young, dark haired girl working was very compassionate and kept asking me if I needed water or anything, and kept making sure I was okay. In a moment like that where I felt so helpless (and very embarrassed), her kindness made all the difference, so thank you! Amazing Service! I was in a jam and had to get a last minute custom birthday cake for my son within 24 hours. I called the Thousand Oaks Baskin Robbins, and they were unhelpful. I called this Baskin Robbins, and not only was the gentleman on the phone kind enough to text me options of the cake, they were able to put a 24 hour turn around and get me the cake in time. This place does not have a fresh ice cream. I went in here a little over a week ago, and was greatly shocked to see that their freezer case on the left of the shop was covered in ice on the outside. This is like old frostbit ice. You can even see it from outside if you drive by in your car. That's absolutely unacceptable and most likely a health code violation. My bf worked at Carls Jr and told me that they had to clean the outside of their machines daily to prevent frost-bit ice like that from forming. I'm just a DoorDash driver, and didn't order anything from the shop, but I came in at like 9pm to pick an order up and some girl workin just abruptly tells me that I'm gonna have to wait a while, because they haven't started the order yet. Cool. I don't mind waiting, customers that walk in should be priority anyways. But once she told me, there were no customers that walked in, and the two girls working just disappeared into the back somewhere until someone else walked in. So I'm still waiting, maybe like 10/15 min now, and so I'm about to ask how much longer it'd take, but I hear the girl inside say "I'm gonna cancel the DoorDash order." I am going to step up and give this place 5 stars....you know why? Every day after school, this place gets filled with kids 5 to 18 and with all of the chaos, kids having melt downs or kids laughing and enjoying their ice cream....the management and staff at this location have ALWAYS been great. they stay calm, they get orders out as quick as they can...and they seem to have the patience of a saint. SO, with that said, lets get to the ice cream! If you are a regular, like my family has become on these hot days...we end up there mostly right after school. Yes, it is busy bot the ice cream is worth it. There are all the usual varieties you have at any other Baskin-Robbins chains, the ice cream cakes, the cones, cups and my favorite...the SHAKE. Ah yes, it is tasty! I get the Pralines & Cream with a little chocolate syrup mixed in. It is delightful, try it! My younger son usually gets the "Icing on the Cake" Shake...he loves it. It's a great way to cool down and sip on something yummy. So even though this is a busy time (between 2:30-3:30pm) maybe go a little later if you want it to be calmer...with less of a wait because right after school it is a super busy! But hey, good for the store-selfishly I want is to survive and thrive as I like my shakes... Just be patient and remember to always be respectful to the nice folks behind the counters. They are really working hard to keep everyone happy. Also, many young kids are there too-so I want to give props to the Agoura High Schoolers who go there...my experience, they are all really nice- and they don't get rowdy, I respect that so much. We know little ones can have melt downs...but most parents are really aware and and keep their kiddos from tantrums. It's a family place, and I like going to it. Sometimes there are longer wait times, but as I said, go after 4pm or in the afternoon if you want to beat the "busy times". Gotta love an ice cream on a Saturday night after a long fun day with my kiddlettes! When asking if they want to end the night with a sweet treat, they always nominate "the ice cream store" aka our local Baskin-Robbins. They seem to always have high school students working here, which yes at times is a bit more difficult because they're socializing and now realizing you're standing right in front of them waiting to order (ahah), but I love how this local place hires high school students. I remember when I was is high school many of my friends worked here, so I appreciate that aspect and understand that high school students won't have the same customer service persona as an adult. The reason for one less star is because there is consistently dirty tables and chairs here; meaning ice cream smears. Yes the person prior should have cleaned up their mess, yet as a prior food industry employee I know we can't expect this and need to ensure the environment is clean for all customers. It appears that they need to wipe be more conscious about wiping down the tables more often, especially on busy Saturday nights when the customer load is higher. Instead of the chit chat I experienced while waiting to order, I would have been way more receptive if they were busy wiping down the dirty table and chairs my daughters and I proceeded to sit at next. But once again "teenagers." The ice cream is always in stock in all the amazing 31 flavors, they're happy to provide samples and cleanly scoop your ice cream (hate when it's all chunky and falling all over the place.) overall it's definitely our go to place for a treat, just work on the cleanliness of the shop and less chit chat when customers are standing waiting to order. read more

UPDATE: I received a telephone message from the owner apologizing. I also received a message via yelp apologizing and explaining the process with door dash. I appreciated both efforts as one of the complaints and reasons for the initial one star review was customer service. I did not receive anything in return for updating my review, nor will I accept anything. It's important to me to contribute to the economy during this time. DO NOT ORDER from here during quarantine. I ordered 2 premium sundaes (charged $9 each) but they made us some dinky one scoop sundaes. This was to celebrate my daughters bday during quarantine. When I called, the guy kept telling me to call door dash even though door dash didn't make the order and there is only one kind of the item I ordered on the menu. When I asked for the guys name, he hung up on me. I called back and he hung up again. When I called the third time, he finally told me his name (Ivan). Clearly they don't care about their customers and have no training in customer service. He said he was the manager too. He said of course and disappeared in the back coming back with the cake with a misspelled word Braden. He said "what am I supposed to do I can't sell this cake". We told him we would happily buy a blank cake with no wording on it but he was trying to guilt us into buying this cake with the misspelled word because he couldn't use it for another customer. I went in to BR today to surprise the family with ice cream cones. I asked that they put them in cups with the cones on top because there was no way I could drive holding four double scoop cones. The gal says ok no problem. Then another lady working there tells me I have to pay extra for a cup and a cone. I asked for something to hold the cones then as there was no way I could drive. She said they don't have them. In a nutshell the price per cone if you can't hold four cones and drive is 25 cents more a cone. Oh and she told me the mark up was fine because I was still paying less than the regular posted price because apparently today they were running a special. How does that make me feel better about what happened and what about when there is no special going on. Why should A person be required to pay more for a cone because the store won't provide carriers? My family ended up with no cones because I refused to pay a surcharge for something clearly needed to be able to bring their product home. Another company with subpar customer service and disengaged and rude employees who justify add on fees with absurd reasoning. read more
